Well this one is over and we have four weeks of FPL to enjoy before the next one, so out with the old, in with the new, let’s get it on. And get it on we will with a monster game-week which starts off with the biggest game of the season so far – the Manc derby at Old Trafford on Saturday lunchtime. How divisive our beloved FPL can be – those who had Lukaku, Sterling, KdB, Antonio, Chadli, Alexis and played Capoue had it off last week, while those who persisted with the likes of Hazard, Firmino, Silva, Barkley, Ozil and capo’d Ibra were left disappointed and saw their rank plummet alarmingly. No Friday night matches this week I’m afraid – no Monday match either, just the standard two-day working week – now you know how the average Frenchman feels. Our game-week begins Saturday lunchtime at the Lane, with Kane vs Mane and ends at the Etihad as Gold’s Hammers take on Silva’s City. In between there is plenty to get our teeth into with Christian Benteke beginning life at Palace and Yannick Bolasie and Ashley Williams hoping to start for Everton. Well I hope you’ve enjoyed your summer – whether you’ve been playing MLS and the Euros or decided to take a well-earned rest, the time has arrived for us all to come back together, dust off the cobwebs and get back down to it. Your peace has been blown out of the water and we’re back to trying to determine what exactly the managers are trying to tell us in their pressers! Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 38 So here we are at the end of the road. It’s been long, it’s been great and frustrating, yet it’s always been fun. And a rest is never a bad thing, especially when you know that we get to do it all over again in three months time. Yep, there is always the chance to go better next season, to act on the lessons we have learnt from this campaign – but of course much of the excitement is the unexpected. Yeah baby, I give you DGW37 – 14 fixtures, eight teams doubling up, points galore on offer to either close out or chase down your mini-league. Our monster week starts, aptly enough, in Norfolk as Norwich host Man Utd on Saturday lunchtime and then we move onto five 3pm kick offs as Newcastle look to take a further step to safety as they go to the doomed Villa, Bournemouth welcome West Brom, Palace entertain Stoke, Chelsea go to Sunderland and Swansea travel to West Ham. Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 36 So, just three game-weeks to go before our summer holidays, although watching some of the Premier League teams you could be mistaken for thinking they have beaten you to the beach. But for us we need to finish the season well, chase down or see home our mini-leagues and ensure that this season doesn’t go down as our worst ever! There is no early match this week, but we do at least have a full compliment of fixtures, so no excuses for not fielding a full team this week. Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 35 Welcome to game-week 35 and the quote “After every storm, there is a rainbow. If you have eyes, you will find it. If you have wisdom, you will create it” springs to mind. Whereas we had 15 fixtures spread over six consecutive days in DGW34, GW35 brings us just the seven matches, due to the FA Cup semi-finals. That’s not to say that there isn’t important points to be won, just don’t expect the bonanza that was generally seen last week.
