Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017-18 Part 2

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017-18 Part 2 The International break is here and it is of course time for yet another edition of Bore Off! As ever during the international break we take the time to catch up with some of our site regulars, ask them how their seasons are going and get their thoughts on some key issues that we all want answers to. And then of course ask them some stupid questions that we all really don’t want answers to but are too intrigued to look away. We have already caught up with 3 of them but such was the clamour to be involved this week we have a bonus ‘part 2’. And so we are delighted to be joined by Serendipity, Milburn and Footy Fantastic (Guy) for part 2.     Thanks for reading Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fanta...Read More

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017/18

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017-18 The International break is here and it is of course time for another edition of Bore Off! This time we have given the 3 Amigos a break and found their possible replacements in the near future. Bry is welcomed in, many of you know him from his other work on the site or perhaps you have seen him busking on the tube in Japan. Banjo also joins us, luckily for him we have only asked him to answer questions and not make the coffee. However, I would still keep my distance as he answers, for your own safety. Last and least (according to FPL) is Smash, who we have asked as a form of therapy for him. Hey, let us get on with it and see what The Last SamuBry, Wilshere x8 and Hulk Smash have to say about their seasons so far and what is to...Read More

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017/18

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017-18 The International break gives us all the first opportunity to sit back and assess how we have fared so far. For some it’s a time of quiet reflection, for others it’s time for a Wildcard! Either way it’s a nervous time for fantasy managers as they wait and see if their stars return in one piece from their journeys far and wide. This particular break also sees the transfer window close so much can change, players will be added, some will be waved goodbye. We’ve decided to take a bit of a break ourselves for a few days but before we do we have asked a few of our regular writers to reflect on their own seasons so far, their fantasy plans and also their take on the season in general. Between them Cookie, Mit...Read More

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017-18

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2016-17 FPL is finally open and ready for business and so are we with a new edition of Bore Off. This will only be one of the many articles we will try and bring you over the coming weeks, all leading to GW1 and the beginning of another season. For any new members we welcome you to the site and we hope you enjoy this article. For the veterans, you know the drill. Cookie (United fan) hates Liverpool, Init (Everton fan) hates Liverpool and Kop (Liverpool fan) hates Liverpool. Think that is a fair assessment of all three. Well ok, having seen the prices and some of the options I have called back The Three Amigos from their summer vacation to get some early observations from them for questions that many of us are wondering about. Who shou...Read More

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2016-17

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2016-17 Well hello there, your favourite snake oil salesman here bringing you another installment of Grab, Avoid or Bore off! Once again I have charmed our 3 amigos into given us some insight into some of the questions that all managers are asking, and by all, I mostly just mean me. We will look to cover topics like GW34, Mr. Party, Kun and Alexis. We also address the top 4 where we witness the LFC fan (Kop) pick United to finish ahead of them and the United fan (Cookie) pick LFC to finish ahead of them. Must be fun watching games of their team with these two. Anyway, enough of this intro and let us get to it, let’s see what the fellas have to say. Thanks for reading Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2016-1...Read More

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2016-17 Welcome to another edition of Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!! Sneaking in a Bore Off is mighty naughty of me, but as you know, nothing good comes to those who wait. So why wait until the next big break, when I can barge in uninvited now. As usual custom I got those three snarky Amigos back together to answer some relevant FPL questions and a bit of… ehe, let us call them “other” questions. Hopefully the lads can provide you with some insight with some of their answers or at the very least have you raise an eyebrow at a moment of awkwardness. Three big strikers, premium defenders, Jonesy, Ozil’s work rate and Santa’s sexy helper all covered. This could be a moment where I could wish you the best over the...Read More

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! Welcome to another edition of Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!! It is International Break time and you know what that means. Those 3 pistoleros are called in to save us from the empty feeling that no FPL for two weeks leaves us with. So I have gathered the boys and this time we have dived into our topics with somewhat of a plan. Yes!! There was a plan on a Bore Off article, if it’s possible to live in a world where Trump can win, we can have a plan for Bore Off. We broke it down by positions and slowly but surely, tried to answer some of the questions that most concern FPL managers. Whether we answered them in a way that is helpful is a different question. So without further ado let us get to it and see if we can provide a little help, some laughs and a couple of ...Read More
