Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 26 Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW26 Last week we decided to roll one transfer but use the other. That move was one Liverpool player for another. We said goodbye to Trent and brought in VVD and the big Dutchman gave a real captain’s performance getting two 90 minute appearances and a bullet headed goal for a solid return of 10 points!. We, like everyone else in the game, tripled captained the big blonde Norwegian and while it wasn’t an absolute monster score Haaland did get a goal and 2 bonus points for a TC total of 30 points. Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Double Gameweek 25 Welcome to FF247 Site Team DGW25 Our Solanke to Darwin move paid off to the tune of 2pts (Darwin’s 6pts vs Solanke’s 4pts) and whilst Jota (C) looks decent with 14pts, it was the wrong choice as the robot returned with a brace and 26pts for the majority who wisely handed him the armband. Ouch. However, the halftime substitution of Alexander-Arnold was more painful. 4pts was a glimpse of what could have been, and now sadly, he’s out of the double gameweek. We can’t complain too much though, because whilst we had 4 players returning 3 or fewer points, we also had Saka (15pts), Saliba (12pts) and Palmer (10pts). That’s probably the best thing we can say about GW23, and that’s being kind! We went into Monday’s game on 24pts and things were looking grim. It’s good to be somewhat introspective mid-game week but the advice I need to follow myself is to not get too hung up on something that is not yet over. That was the case for us with the 32pts we picked up from our Man City assets (thanks Phil!) making what was still a bad game week (in terms of overall points and a dreaded arrow), that little less painful. Sell a Liverpool attacker, buy a Liverpool attacker, sit back and wait for the points to roll in. As mentioned in our last site team article, the vote to buy Jota was far from unanimous. We have GP, Swirly and Matt to thank for his inclusion. Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 20 Winging it… Our Gameweek 19 Result We suppose that our triple Newcastle contingent notching a whopping 2 points between them was a strong portent of what was to come. They can all bugger off on the incoming Wildcard. Things did ‘pick up’ briefly when our new signing Trent got a cleanie and all 3 bonus points. Sadly, that was to prove to be the highlight of our week! Solanke and Foden scoring did cheer us up a touch, but the rest did naff all, to put it politely. They can all bugger off too. For what is a rarity this season but our 42 points, while above the average of 36 points was not enough to get us a green arrow. We have dropped from 1,992 to 3,456 (we love order). This is still an amazing rank and we will keep pushing for that number 1 spot! Our Gameweek 18 Result We have £7.1 in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of GW19. Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 18 Solankied Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW18 With FPL finally deciding to call an end to GW17 last night our hopes of keeping Solanke’s 6pts and having them upgraded to 9pts (with bonus) were dashed. Instead we have to make do with Mubama’s 1-pointer off the bench. So now we have 63pts (-4pts) which has turned a small green arrow into a small red one, leaving us ranked 1,992nd. All in all, it was a fairly decent week despite the red arrow. Our move for Solanke may not have turned out as planned but there are more important things in life. Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 17 We have good autosubs but not necessarily in the correct order Welcome to FF247 Site Team Gameweek 17 Two autosubs were used this week and we still had a 9-pointer sitting there amongst the injured and forgotten. Destiny Udogie (9) – we hardly knew ye! We had Jarrad Branthwaite (5), good sub/shame he’s suspended and Sam Johnstone (2) for the short-lived Caoimhin Kelleher. Damn. Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW16 Last week we said we were a broken record and *scratch scratch*, here we go again with another solid week! We didn’t make any transfers in GW15 and rolled the transfer which we will count as a good decision due to the colour of our arrow. It did give us a precious 2FTs for what turned into a week where Mbeumo got injured, Son got a niggle, Tsimikas got benched. Lots of headaches around the X-verse to deal with. Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 15 The dream is alive Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW15 We’re beginning to sound like a broken record, but yup you guessed it, we had another good game week!. We sold the injured Bowen who turned out not to be injured, his replacement Saka came in and scored 8pts so we didn’t mind! our other new signing Kelleher didn’t fair so well with just the 1pt on his debut a score matched by Palmer and Saliba. Elsewhere though it was a solid turnout across the board. Our Newcastle duo Gordon and Trippier combined to score us 22pts, Captain Salah managed an acceptable 10pts, just 2pts behind the other captain favourite (Haaland 7pts).
