Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW4

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW4 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW4. Gameweek 3 is finally over and it saw City drop points, Arsenal finally win and Jose Mourinho demanding R-E-S-P-E-C-T (Must be wanting to pay homage to Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin!). Some very high scores this week as most fixtures went the way we expected with people even getting correct scores in most predictions. This week saw the first use of our tiebreaker as there was a tie for 1st between Smash and MattX (I swear I didn’t fix it!) on 15 points but Smash edges it due to guessing closest to the minute scored (58’) with his 26th minute prediction compared to my 11th minute prediction. In 2nd place was COYS on 14 points and in 3rd were a number of guys, namely Chipster, Goal Machine, Fre...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 4

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 4 Welcome to Captain Picks Gameweek 4! It’s already Tuesday evening or beyond. GW3 has drifted by and, unless Mitrovic was in your team, it probably left you feeling slightly… flat. There’s now an air of routine to proceedings. Reality even — many gameweek scores dropping below 50 and flurries of 4-point hits have begun to set in; talk of Wildcarding has already surfaced on the FF247 boards and hollered above the gunshots in a certain Colombian neighbourhood. Transfers aside, there’s an ever-present ingredient in almost every recipe for tear-free gameweek success, exemplified by Salah-vs-Agüero debates and their GW2 returns: the captaincy. After a Friday night of drinking and aimless FPL deliberation, you can only pick one player to take back h...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 4

Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 4 Welcome to Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 4. Before the season kicked off, we posed the question on Twitter if you were ready for the rollercoaster that is FPL. Well, as I write my first fixtures article for this season, the ups and downs of the season are already in full flow as early as Gameweek 3, with the relative straightforward nature of the first two rounds suddenly in freefall. Fantasy favourite Richarlison was among a good number of players to be sent off, while only Huddersfield, Cardiff and Liverpool managed to keep a clean sheet and just a few of the most-owned footballers scored highly. No surprise the average was just 38 at the time of writing, before Man United and Spurs kicked off. It may be early days, but here are s...[Read More]

MLS Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer GW27

Before everything else, I would like to thank Chipster for his excellent coverage for the last two weeks while I was away on my summer holidays. We had an exciting Rivalry round with six famous derbies. Some went quiet and other produced the usual fireworks. With his latest goal, Ibrahimovic is now just one strike away from his 500th career goal. The big story of the week was the new MLS goal scoring record for a single season (28) by Josef Martinez from Atlanta United. The new scoring 👑. Josef Martínez of @ATLUTD. #ORLvATL // Heineken #RivalryWeek https://t.co/p6W4FjVcT5 — Major League Soccer (@MLS) August 25, 2018 Gameweek 26 Review It was a slow start with the Hudson River, Texas and El Trafico derbies each finishing as underwhelming 1-1 draws. Things picked up in the 401 ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3 A lunch time kick-off gets us going this week when Wolves or as City likes to call promoted teams, dinner, face off. That is followed by four 3pm games. In the other two similar time fixtures, the Vardy-less Foxes take on Southampton and The Cherries play host to Richarlison’s Toffees. Our Saturday finishes with Liverpool putting a half a dozen past Brighton in the late game. Sunday brings us another three games. FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW3

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW3 Our game-week was ultimately personified by our last minute decision to change our captain from Aguero to Salah. Sure, Salah did ok, scoring 9pts on Monday night but once Kun had posted his 20pter we were relatively doomed. At least we owned Kun, plenty didn’t. We still scored ok, 74pts vs an average of 60 and it is only GW2. No need to panic, but I think we have learnt our lesson re JamieJacksongate! Richarlison, Mendy and Robertson were again superstars, while Shaw contributed an assist despite United’s horror show at Brighton. The rest of our motley crew were useless – Patricio, Eriksen, Cairney, King and Firmino should all be looking over their shoulders as our moody committee meets with two free transfers burning a hole in its pocket. Last WeekR...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 3

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 3   Hello everyone and welcome to your Tips article for this Fantasy Football Gameweek 3. It may just be me but at the time of sitting down to write this, I get the feeling that there have been a number of early moves made this week which in fact had me questioning the wisdom of putting so much effort in to such an article at any depth at all. Well, that and a general lethargy this week. But lucky for you, the kids are back in school and I suddenly and very definitely, not coincidently, have bundles of energy and I’m ready to take you through my fifteen (or so) names with my usual gusto. Based on the impression I have gleamed from following the site chat and the range of FPL heads on twitter, I took to the FPL site to check the most transferred in player...[Read More]

These are all questions that you need t...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Diary – Pre-season and the big kick off

Fantasy Football Diary – Pre-season and the big kick off A Year in Provence – not quite. A year in Monaco – nearer, but ultimately it won’t be. Will explain later. Instead welcome to the first instalment of my FPL diary as we journey through my thought process, or lack of it, and rollercoaster through the emotions of FPL life – the highs and the lows and the impact it has on everyday life….and vice versa! Pre-season The lead up to GW1. I can’t help myself, as soon as FPL was launched I began to tinker. Everyday. Until I just realised that I was changing my mind, everyday. I’ll be honest I had 3 ‘musts’ that I absolutely wanted and would have, unless injury intervened – these were Salah, Robertson and Mendy. I um’d and ah’d over the keeper position….DDG or Ederson? Two rotating 4.5s? ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 3

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 3 Welcome to Captain Picks Gameweek 3! Well the past weekend was split between those that capped Aguero and those that did not, which one were you? Depending on what you did, you either had a great Sunday and weekend, or you were crying into your pint cursing that last-minute swap from the Argentine to a certain Egyptian. The top three choices for the armband were Salah, Aguero and Kane and none of them disappointed scoring 9, 20 and 7 points, respectively. Salah grabbed a couple of assists, Aguero grabbed his 9th PL hattrick and Kane did the impossible by scoring in August! Can they all perform again this weekend or will someone else be the top captain choice? This coming weekend sees some of the bigger teams play relatively weaker sides and gives u...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW3 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW3. So the maiden Harry and Lloyd’s prediciton competition has ended and now H&L is a fully fledged staple on the FF247 site. The past weekend saw a lot of strange results and not many correct predicitons but we still had a clear winner and that was Offaly Martin with 16 points. Closely behind him was Lord Atlas on 15 points and Gear and Swirly tied for 3rd. Congrats to Offaly Marin so please email us at contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize! MLS Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer GW26

It was a disappointing start to the double gameweek (DGW) for some teams and, consequently, for some fantasy managers too. A few big names completely failed to deliver on the promise of the DGW (Zlatan 3pts, Valeri 4pts) and were easily outshone and outscored by SGW counterparts (J Martinez 10pts, Lodeiro 13pts). It wasn’t all DGW doom and gloom though. Anybody picking Rooney (19pts) or the LAFC backline (16-19pts) will have done well and any chancers picking the likes of RSL’s Rusnak or DCU’s Fisher (both on 16pts) will be feeling pretty pleased with themselves (and rightly so). Thankfully LAFC saved the day for most of us, with two wins (and two shutouts) to bump many managers well over the hundred point barrier in the end. Gameweek 25 Review It was a record-equalling week in MLS history...[Read More]
