Good Evening and welcome to the launch of my Summer Competition. Given as UEFA have left all us good fantasy folk stranded with no actual competition to play I thought I would step forward to try and fill the void a bit with my own little competition, just to keep us entertained. The competition is based on the Under 21 European Tournament which starts on Friday 16th June. Screw UEFA then, let’s get on with it…
Your aim is to gather as many points as possible, its that simple.
Follow this link to the UEFA site to find all you need to know when selecting your men who’ll hopefully bring you European Glory (then click on the Under 21 tab).
Lets Play ‘Its A Pre-Tournament Gamble’
The Rules.
A – Select 5 players from any position you wish.
B – Highlight one as your Captain (C) for double points.
C – Your men may come from just one of the Under 21 teams or a pick and mix from any.
D – Your five man team must be picked ahead of the tournament starting, hence its all a Potty gamble.
E – There will be two groups which I’ll draw on Monday at 9pm, with the top four after the group stage is complete making the semi-finals stage.
The Potty Points System!!!!
All your players will gain points as follows…
Appearance (and even off the bench) = 15pts
Goalkeeper/Defender cleansheet = 25pts
Goalkeeper/Defender conceeding = -10pts per goal
Any player making an assist = 20pts per assist
Any player scoring = 30pts per goal
Yellow or Red Card flashed = -5pts & -8pts respectively.
Now pick your 5 star men from these teams…

Serbia
Spain
Czech Republic
Italy
Denmark
Germany
The 1st part of the competition, and your 5 picks as per above, are for the group stages only. You will get to pick a different squad after that but stay tuned for details should you qualify that far.
So do a wee bit of research then post those men of yours below.

Formula of the game
In Fantasy Football you will create a virtual team, where you choose real players who will appear in the 21st European Youth Football Championships in Poland. Depending on how these players play in real matches, they will earn points for your team. All the fun is that the players choose the players who will play the best in the next match. If you are familiar with football, use your knowledge, sign up for the game, become the best manager and win prizes!
?Description of the game
Once you have set up your team, you will complete the squad (with a virtual budget of 100.0 million and a limit on the number of players from one team) from each of the real players who will be playing for EURO U21. In addition, the base 11 is selected, the team and its captain, who scores twice.
Then there are real matches and “Your” players earn points for you according to the rules of scoring. And that is the biggest fun of the game! You can win in the teams’ classification, the managers (where the achievements of all your teams (up to 5) count, if you want to play more than one), compete in private leagues or earn points for your favorite football club!
Fantasy Table football is a guarantee of football excitement at the highest level!
Scoring
Players earn points based on real achievements made in real matches. It is therefore important to know which riders are most likely to perform well in the upcoming lane. However, we have to bear in mind that we do not reward the aesthetic impression – if the player plays the correct game but is not scrambled, he will still score very little. You should bet on players who earn specific bonuses: goals, assists or clean accounts. The exact achievement score is as follows:

Private leagues
Private League is your own classification of teams, which you can invite any person – your friends, interest groups or all the people you like. Each manager can have one private league. All leagues compete with each other in the league.
Establishing a private league
To sign up for your own private leagues, go to the “Private leagues” tab and then use the “Private leagues” button. Here are three options:
• choosing the name of the private league,
• Code visibility to the league (unchecking this option will prevent the league access code from being displayed publicly).
• League description (optional).
After completing the above fields press the button “Create Private League” and ready! All your teams will be automatically saved to you, but you can delete them at any time.
Join private leagues
Joining a league is as easy as putting it up. All you need is the access code for the selected league (you can find it in the “Classification” – “Private leagues” tab). It is not possible to join a league with a hidden code unless the administrator gives it voluntarily in a different way.
If you already have an access code, go to the “Private leagues” tab, rewrite or paste, then click “Join!”. If all goes well, the league should appear in the list below.
Important! Each team enrolls in the league separately! One team can join up to 10 private leagues.
How do the league points?
The score of each league is the sum of the scores of all the league leagues, where each team scores the best (looking at the overall ranking) of 10 teams in the league of different managers.

Let’s clarify: you pick the captian before the gameweek and he can’t be changed after the deadline of the mentioned gameweek. We are like FPL (not UCL).

Just as an aside on this one. Some people have been entering multiple teams. Up to 5 each in a few cases. It’s not even people I recognise. Basically it’s 1 each. Any more and I’m randomly turfing 4 of them out as I have done already.

Pottys Under 21 Euro 2017 Competition = “Update”
Just some pointers for you.
1=The 5 men you’ve selected are unchangeable throughout the Group phase.
2=The Captain youve selected is also unchangeable throughout the Group phase.
3=Due to the interest shown in this nutty Competition I am now running 3 Tournaments.
4=You need to finish in the Top 4 places in your Group to progress any further in this format of mine.
5=If you do qualify for the Semi-Final stage then and only then may you select 5 new men and another Captain if you wish.
So see you tomorrow (Thursday) night for the draw of the Group’s

Hi init – thx. But isn’t that the kickoff time oft he tournament itself? I ask because I sem to remember Potty saying something about it being unfair that players who haven’t yet posted their teams being able to know the lineups as opposed to those who already did.
