Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 15

Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 15 article. After a great rise in the ranks the previous week, we decided that we like the view from this perch. How much? Well, we moved up 80 spots! Considering we took a hit and did not captain Sanchez, we will call it a win. All the more when a quick glance at our team one can see that Pedro, Austin, Firmino and Kun combined for a total of 3 points. So Pedro was a bust as a transfer and now sits in the yellow, but our other move paid immediate dividends. Harry Kane scored 13 points and since he was our captain in GW14, that was doubled. If only we had went Alexis again…oh well, could have been 14 points worse also. We could have been one of the teams that went Kun and seen our site team life pass right before our eyes. We now sit in 34,432 after a GW rank of 574K. We scored 74 with a -4 and the average for the GW was 50. So with Kun now suspended and a whole bunch of cash laying around, let us get to our transfer plans.

Transfer(s) –
Sold Sergio Aguero and Bought Diego Costa

Sold Charlie Austin and Bought Kelechi Iheanacho

Transfer Reasoning…
Up until Thursday evening this was a simple case of Kun to Costa. That one was dictated to mainly because we felt that despite having Pedro more Chelsea coverage was nearing essential status. The move suits us at it also leaves some funds to possibly upgrade one of our ‘weaker’ midfielders in the coming weeks.

And then Thursday happened and Austin. We could have just benched him but it would have meant playing Fletcher or Nyom against Chelsea or Pieters against Arsenal. And all that’s assuming Gundogan starts which is far from a certainty at this point. So we voted to take a -4 and the two main candidates were Iheanacho and Defoe. Defoe was seriously considered bearing in mind we have Costa sat on four yellows and that you just never know with Pep as regards to the team selection. Ultimately though it was felt that Kelechi will start this week and that by choosing him over Defoe we were not eating until those valuable funds we mentioned earlier.

THE NEW TEAM IN FULL FOR Gameweek 15

Our Captain is… Diego Costa
After last weeks super show from Chelsea and a relatively plum fixture on paper Diego gets our armband this week. Sanchez garnered votes as well though, and for good and similar reasons. It’s probably worth noting though that neither of their opponents are exactly shocking on the road and in fact only Arsenal and Spurs have conceded less goals away from home than the either Stoke or West Brom. To counter that Chelsea have scored the most at home with 20 and Arsenal the 3rd most with 15. Statistically that points marginally to Costa.

If anyone is interested in following the site teams progress then you can do so here and we wish you all the best of luck this week with your own teams.

God Looking team there. Have done the same moves for -4. I’m most probably going to play my AOA as I dont have faith on Amat as my 3rd def. Cant see Pieters getting a CS against Arsenal and Tymon doesnt start. I’d better take Barry’s 2 points. Is Allen sure to start this week?

    1. Austin to Origi
    2. Austin & Gundogan to Iheanacho & Fer/Zaha/Snoodrass/Philips/Can.
    3. Austin & Stones to Iheanacho & Cedric/A.Smith/Ake.

I would go with option 3, having Saints cover at the back makes sense, if you could manage funds would be wise to add a Chelsea defender instead and compromise with the striker for 3-5-2 formation
