Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 32
Like many, our GW31 was rescued late by Christian Eriksen and Josh King – the Viking came up with a goal and assist at Swansea while King cheered ‘most’ of the committee by equalising at Anfield. Of course King only appeared for us due to Llorent’s no-show, so happy days! Eden Hazard contributed 13pts also and those three were the only significant contributors. Captain Fail Sanchez at least tried to justify our faith by adding a clean sheet point but it was a pretty embarrassing display by the remaining eight numpties. We scored just above average – 50pts vs an average of 45 and saw a small red arrow. Not nice. We dropped about 1.5k places to 36,034. So hardly a disaster. It seems that win, lose or draw though we are destined to finish in the 30k bracket! We are beginning to realise how Jose feels this season as that’s the 11th time now that we have ranked in the 30’s and we’ve actually spent 20 of the 31 weeks stuck between 20 and 60k! At least we are consistent if nothing else. Maybe we have been too lenient on some of these wasters for too long, but calls for an emergency wildcard will be batted off by the committee, no doubt. But let’s see…
Our transfer this week is: Nobody!
We have decided to stick this week and take the free transfer into GW33 when we can start planning properly for DGW34. The forwards seem to be an issue at the moment as we are a bit heavy in midfield and a bit light up top but losing any of Erik, Sanchez, Hazard or Siggy right now doesn’t seem right. The only real suggestion this week was to replace either Carroll or Llorente with Origi, Benteke or Negredo but it all felt a bit like replacing a damp plaster with… another soon to be damp plaster. We have just £0.9m in the bank too so the options are limited without a hit or some major surgery. Certainly the likes of Kun are out of our range. So we stick with what we have and will go at GW33 with a spare transfer and assess that limp attack again. No doubt still in 30,000th place or so!

This was a split decision to say the least. Erik, Sanchez and even Siggy all received votes. Which probably says a lot in terms of there being many good choices this week, but also maybe us not having many of them! Erik stumbled across the line but his 2 goals and 3 assists in the last 5 games does oil the wheels a bit. Watford being more or less safe and Spurs wanting to crank up the pressure on Chelsea helps too.

Team looks somewhat similar to mine. And I really don’t like my team. So your advise is to do nothing? I was thinking maybe ummm Smith to Gibson.
Smith to vert? I get the Gibson move with DGW 34 in mind though!
Alternatively you could get llorente to Benteke/Origi, fletcher to De Roon, Smith to Baily or do a Mitro, take a hit and bring in Ibra for Costa and turn Holebas/pieters into Stephens/yoshida depending on selling values
I don’t trust Mourinho plus they have Chelski next weekend.

I’m good mate, teams doing ok, glad I kept Kun even though he hurt me with my TC but always had this weekends fixture in mind, if he blanks he’s gone!
Looking forward to a full weekend of footy, Newcastle on TV tomorrow night and I’ll be back at St James next Friday and hopefully a little closer to next seasons relegation battle from the prem! Ha ha how’s you Raz?

Coutinho vomited so he should be good now. It’s true he didn’t train but even after he didn’t train Klopp said he’s still likely to play.
I believe that (Mirror) article and non-quote from Klopp was from the night of the match Waxys, two days ago. Everything I’ve seen from today has him as a major doubt.

That source is just baseless conjecture it gives no quotes from Klopp or evidence.
If Coutinho doesn’t play I will eat my hat I am almost certain he will play.

I just noticed that next 4 Leicester games are away. Atletico games on horizon. I think that I will swap Vardy. although Vardy vs makeshift Everton defence is tempting.
I have 2 free transfers + 0.9 ITB and could try to get cheaper defender and Ibra but I’m just not sure about MU scoring form.
with GW 34 in mind I’m also thinking Benteke. CP fixtures are horrible though. Another option would be Negredo but is it really?
I will probably get big Chris and hope for the best. 3 out of next 4 at home.

two hours or so of thinking later I have another idea. Maybe I should do double swap for Sane and Kane. I would get rid of Vardy and Alli. I bought Eriksen in GW 16 so wouldn’t want to lose value on him.
I guess Benteke for now is the best option,still.

If you want to use a chip like bench boost in gw37 (like I will), you’ll need to wc in gw36 or before. You can only use one chip per gameweek. As for your squad, how about Cech to De Gea? Man U have a better fixture than Hull and have a double gameweek coming up too.
With coutinho major doubt is getting alli and i already have Ericsson good idea? Or what till i see Kane to get

I’d do Coutinho to Alli yeah. Whilst it would only be this game Coutinho missed (if he does miss it), Spurs still have good fixtures and Alli’s form is ridiculous.

I just took a -4 to get Kun and Zaha in for Coutinho and Lukaku. Little gamble on not owning Lukaku! I need to break free in my ML so let’s see! Going to be interesting to see if Martinez will get another CS!
