Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 34

Welcome to Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 34. Another week, another small green arrow, but at least it’s better than a red one and we’re back in the top 50k. Woohoo!! Our score of 57 was 11 better than the average of 46, so we have to be fairly happy with that. Our new recruits had mixed weeks – Kane kicked us off with a 12 point haul and how close we were to captaining him – while Zaha did nowt despite Palace scoring two at home to Leicester. Never mind, the Zaha purchase was with this week’s double game-week in mind so he best be saving his points for this week. Elsewhere, Valencia contributed a surprise clean vs Chelsea, Walker made a guest appearance for Spurs for another clean sheet, Eriksen made an assist, Lukaku does what Lukaku does, jeez even Andy Carroll gave us 5pts! So, all things considered, it was ok and we now sit in 49,057th place.

This weeks transfer/s: Andy Carroll to Alvaro Negredo
With big Andy ruled out early this one felt like it was going to be an easy decision – a quick Negredo or Benteke debate and out. Oh how little did we know… One simple question “Ok then, so who do we bench?”, and 24 hours later the debate made the American election process seem both short and logical. Our midfield, to recap, is Erik, Siggy, King, Zaha and Hazard. So you can probably appreciate the issue we had! Benching Carroll was of course debated also but there seemed to be a strong pull towards getting a DGW forward so suggestions such as PVA in were quickly dismissed. Negredo himself won a close and controversial vote by 3-2 over Benteke.

And then we got on to who to bench…! There were votes, there were re-votes, there was election rigging, there was bribery, there was question loading, there were lies, there were more re-votes… The main debate centred around whether to bench either Siggy or Erik. Siggy has a home game and everything to play for, as well as basically doing everything for his team. Erik is away from home and is more just a cog in a well oiled machine that just happens to be the best team in the league right now and is scoring for fun. So yeah, it was always going to be a close call. We think that Erik won. That’s what we are going with anyway. For the record, Mito voted to bench……. Negredo!!!

The Team in full this week…

Our captain is: Alvaro Negredo
Never in the history of the site team has one player caused so much division! He caused arguments entering the team, never mind captaining the damn thing. He’s the teflon kid this week though as not only did he somehow kick Siggy to the bench he made it all the way to the main stage. It was close though, as Kane got 2 votes to his 3. Let’s hope his luck rides on through the DGW. We know that playing for a team who has scored the least goals out of all 92 league clubs may not be the best recommendation for a captain choice! But he has showed flickers of life recently, has the best set of DGW fixtures and has a lot to play for. So yeah, we are laying out the FPL prayer mats as we speak.

    Hello everyone.

Here’s my set up for this week.

    Good luck to you all.

A man true to his (Capo article) word! We don’t get many of those smile

Looks good that mate, really going for the doubles eh? How many hits was that or was it planned out?

      • Hi Init,

Did you see my tweets earlier? I had the (C) on Rashford for a spell. Quickly changed back. I’m not too sure I’m even satisfied that I bought him let alone let him loose with the armband. smile

I had two free moves this week so this side (or Rashford at least) cost me -4 (for Llorente though so I felt it a risk worth taking). I watched him on Thursday night and I was quite impressed.

Already had Hennessey, Valencia and Zaha in preparation so just Townsend, Bailly and Rashford introduced today for the one hit.

Looks set GeePee. Capping Kun? I don’t have Kun or Kane. sad

      • Hi Raz,

Yeah I wrote about him this week. My only concern now is the return of Jesus but Aguero has the form so I’m hoping he’s going to be worth the risk. His fixtures for the rest of the season are ace so I can’t see me sellig him.

        • Raziel says:

I know. Could you please take a look at my team? Really don’t kow what to do. Time is almost out. Still have the 1 ft and 0 in bank. Thinking of a hit for DDG and Rashford and possibly even capping DDG.

Afternoon all, I’ve already used my 2 ft and brought in Zaha and Negredo for soggy and llorente. Should I bring in de gea for foster and relegate jaku to the bench?

      You can try. smile

Damn, saw Spurs last game. Kane could have scored like 5 and maybe should have scored 4 at the very least. A lot of chances missed. On that note, I haven’t seen a team defending as dreadful as Bourn that game.

One for the United fans………………are you confident Blind will be a regular starter at centre back for the next few weeks? Rojo, Smalling and Jones all out

    • 41.1
      BarcaFan99 says:

Hell no, Jose does what he wants only guranteed starters are Pogba and De Gea

I would say blind would start but Jose mentioned he may use Axel and Shaw is in contention too. Jones will be returning from injury soon too. I would stick with Bailey or Valencia to be safe.

One more time my team. People complain I always show my team last minute. Now I was 2 hours early and one hour early. What to do with this team?

Just Foster to Hennessey? Or Foster to DDG and ummm Costa to Rashford/Negredo?

    • 42.1
      BarcaFan99 says:

Siggurdson to Herrera? I’m sure Herrera will start every game

      • colonial says:

Foster to hennessy and then with the wild card change in GW36

        • Raziel says:

Yeah, that was the plan. I wonder if letting go of Costa is worth a punt though. If I let go of Costa for a ahit I can also get DDG which means I have a better goalie with better fixtures.

      • Raziel says:

Siggy is on penalties, free kicks and corneres plus he’s playing Stoke at home. Would not make much sense. It could work out, but that would be chasing a DGW player that plays central midfield.

      Raziel says:

Oops, just dropped my laptop. Hehe. sad

      Raz

I actually think I would prefer Sigurdsson to Zaha if you were going to do anything for a hit.

I have Sigurdsson but his form has been poor despite him having fair fixtures. I don’t know if today will be any different. I fear for Swansea going down.

      • Raziel says:

I was not considering that move. Someone proposed it, that I get Herrerra for Siggy.

I am just thinking about doing Foster to Hennessy with ft or Foster to DDG and Costa to Rashford/Negredo.

And I really don’t know who to cappo. sad

        • BarcaFan99 says:

Siggy has been in poor form he can be on set pieces all he wants but he hasn’t scored in a good while despite that. The moves you proposed are good punts but not for the long term, keep Costa.

Up to you of course if you think siggy’s form will improve keep him but Herrera I think has great returns and with the injuries piling up hes a starter with great value you can use the funds to upgrade your team for the coming gameweeks.
