Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 5 – Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Photo 23-11-2013 11 44 40The deadline bell has rung and your decisions are now final! This could actually be a tough week for fantasy managers. A lot of the usual, ‘obvious’ candidates are away from home and even those that aren’t have difficult games on paper. Arsenal, Liverpool, Southampton, Man Utd and Chelsea are all on the road while Swansea and Man City are at home but are by no means guaranteed anything, facing Southampton and Chelsea respectively. QPR and Stoke kick us off at 12.45pm in the early Saturday game and even that ones hard to call given the inconsistencies of both. We then have five 3pm kick offs and the day is rounded off as West ham host Liverpool in the evening game at 5.30pm. Sunday sees Leicester vs Man Utd and Spurs vs West Brom, both at 1.30pm followed by two 4pm games as Everton host Palace and the big one of the weekend that sees Man City square up to Chelsea.

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck for GW5 from all at FF247!

Thinking of playing my WC might go for 1 goalkeeper if so

    Hart or Courtois ?

If its a straight pick and not persuaded by and other Chelsea or City you might have in defence, I’d go Courtois in preference BUT I have a feeling that Cech will play in the league at some point. I also think Caballero will too so I would maybe have a playing back-up or veer towards Lloris, Szeczesny or Forster.

    Current team:
    Heaton (McGregor)
    Clyne Taylor Pieters (Moore Moreno)
Siggy Sterling Di Maria Silva (Zaha)
    Costa Balotelli Welbeck

    Balotelli -> Pelle

With £2.5m to upgrade…worth taking a point hit?

    OR keep the FT?

      AT,

      A good squad there.

I would do the Bal – Pelle switch this week with Southampton playing QPR at home and Liverpool it seems, struggling for form. I don’t see anywhere else, you could use the FT.

        GP,

Thanks GP. And then save the £2.5m for next week? My dilemma is that I want to bring in Hazard but don’t want to replace Sterling (form), ADM (form), Silva (City coverage with good fixtures) and Siggy is an excellent cheap option so it would be a waste to replace him for Hazard. Thoughts?

        • AT,

Your midfield is sound as you say. I wouldn’t rush to bring in Hazard for a hit. If you decide you want him then you could use the £2.5M and see who is going to make way next week or the week after. But you have the main man from Chelsea already in Costa so that may be just enough and maintain that strong midfield.

Well the £2.5m will have to wait then! Always hate having so much out of the team but not too keen on taking a point hit after a pretty strong week anyway..just annoyed I captained that main man from Chelsea and not my Argentinian vice from United..;)

        • AT,

Money in the bank is OK if there is a grand plan for its use though.

Well I’ll make you feel worse by saying that I did have the armband on ADM yesterday. I had Sterling instead of Costa the week before so what you get in one hand is taken away from the other :cuss:

    Hey lads.

How did everyone score on the weekend?? I have been on a captain the 1point scoters for a few weeks now and it is killing me!!

I did a quick double transfer after the last game as I had 2 ft. I brought in Ulloa and Wisdom for Naismith and Wilson. Decent decision??
