Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1
And we are off!! Another season of bitter FPL disappointment for most gets rolling when Leicester travels to Old Trafford to take on Jose’s happy warriors. That Friday night fixture is followed by six more on Saturday.
A lunch time affair sees Newcastle and Spurs face off in the battle of who spent the least this transfer window. That is followed by The Cherries vs newcomers Cardiff. Fulham who is also recently promoted, tangle with Palace, Huddersfield plays host to Sarri-ball, Watford dukes it out with Brighton and in the late game we get a first look at the much talked about Wolves side when they face off vs Everton.
Sunday brings us the last three fixtures. Liverpool begin what promises to be an exciting season that is likely to end the same as most, not good enough to win anything. They will take on a new look Hammers team, that 1:30 game is accompanied by a match only a mother could love when Saints take on Burnley. The gameweek is closed out by the best game on paper. When the champions travel to the Emirates to clash with the Wenger-less Gunners.

Don’t know wether this got read over on the regulars thread last night.
Righty-Hoot, morning everyone and welcome to a new season. Bit late i know writing this.I would like to thank the admin 5, Rich, Kop, Cookie, Mito and ‘Boss Hogg’ Init for doing a cracking job with this site not only during the season but throughout the summer changing the site around and us all having a World Cup thrown in aswell.
Not only thanks to them but also the writing mob who churn out article after article for all you fantasy nuts to enjoy. In no particular order, Matt, Swirly, Rosco, Simmo, GP, AT and all the guest writers that post now and again. Lastly a special welcome to the ‘newbie’ on the team, threw that in for you AT, Smash, great to have you on board mate, especially after your recent ills, hope you can put up with us all. Heres to a great season for everyone. Enjoy.
That’s brilliant Elle. Very well said.
Cheers to you too mate.
Great post.
Well said Elle
Happy that Shaw scored last night; gives me hope for the rest of the GW. The leader in FPL triple-captained Shaw :oogle: .
Read Brys comment on page 12, post 72.2.
Bloody hell!!! That’s bold
That team is set up in a deliberate attempt at fifteen minutes of fame.
Ignored.
Really? I’ve just wildcarded and changed my team to match it exactly*
*you can make up your mind whether or not I’m telling the truth
Haha.
Nice jest. Some poor sap probably has thinking that this guy is a visionary.
Maybe they are. The rest of their side, if we were rating it, isn’t too bad.
KDB will probably get loads of points this weekend as well.
Wow, this is insane
I have no one in the Newcastle/Spurs match at lunchtime either.
I feel like one of those players in the snooker whose first round match at the World Championship doesn’t take place until the Thursday!
I know how you feel GP
Yes, similar. Hopefully King or Richarlison can scrounge me an assist or a bonus point later. I’ll be pleasantly surprised to be in double figures by the close of play.
But 7 out tomorrow.
That’s part of the reason I went with Davies
another match like this and his price will be going up
Luke Shaw I mean
Top of the pops so far but a bit of a way to go before a rise.
And later will be dropped or rotated
Had a good peruse of my work ml. There are some good teams in there, suggests I’ll have my work cut out (which is how it should be).
But the one thing I always notice though is how much money people are prepared to leave on the bench, 5m defenders and the like. But, it’s easy when you know how, etc, and many a team like that has tripped me up in a H2H, etc.
Any Shaws on the bench yet?
I just checked the one or two managers who I know pose a serious threat. No Shaws (on the bench), but a lot of money thrown at goalkeepers.
Morning guys no Shaw it was a toss up between Shaw & Luiz & Luiz won crap let’s hope they can keep a CS at least
I didn’t even think about Shaw cause I thought it’s a transfer waiting to happen, which it is, but still Shaw owners can now just cash in the points and sell him soon… Jammy that is, though, you can’t count on him scoring a goal in the one or two games he plays before you move on…
I was determined to have Man Utd defensive coverage, so thought I’d treat myself to DDG as the only one I could count on playing every week.
FPL. Yay. :/
Your logic still holds, DDG will play every week, Shaw will not, but it’s a game of transfers, not a draft league…
