Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1. As the great Bruce Buffer would say “IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTSSS TTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMEE!” Here we go, the planning stage is over and the moment has come to test all your pre-season theories. This season we don’t even have to wait until the weekend either, as the season kicks off on a Friday night. The invincible Arsene Wenger and his boys take on the now “back where they belong” Leicester.
Saturday hits us with a lunch time feast as Watford welcome in Liverpool and their high octane attack. Three o’clock has five fixtures on the slate. The Champs grab their first 3 points when they face Burnley, Palace host newcomer Huddersfield, The Toffees tangle with Stoke, Saints pummel Swansea and The Baggies back from vacation finally after leaving in February mix it up with The Cherries. The Saturday fixtures finish up when recently promoted Brighton tries their hand at figuring out why City paid that much for that defence.
Sunday hits us with the last two fixtures. Newcastle reacquaints themselves with the Premier League when they face Harry Kane and company, geez, what a welcome back. The late game pairs up Man United side versus a Hammers team whose big acquisitions were in part, three old Manchester leftovers, Chicha, Zaba and Hart.

Decent first week, not sure if I need to make a transfer. Itching to get Eriksen somehow, but am doing what is can from taking an 8 point hit. ?
Hi Shriz, just monitor Zaha and replace him with say Ince if need be. I certainly wouldn’t be taking a -8 at this stage.
Wait until tomorrow to make sure salah doesn’t get injured. He’s be your own out to get Eriksen in

Not sure what to do here. I’m thinking of a hit. Yeah I know already. Salah and Mikhi in for Fabregas and KDB. Might just be a bit trigger happy . I’m worried about Fabregas I could just bench him but not sure if he will come back into the team. KDB could easily perform against Everton so maybe I should just leave it. Looks like Salah is going up tonight.
I think KDB looked very good, but I do like the sound of your team after those moves. Liverpool and United have favourable fixtures, so you could get an immediate ROI.
Yeah I know but a -4 to ditch KDB don’t seem right but I like the look of Salah
Would getting for Vardy for Jesus be to much? Away to Brighton could see him score well. 2.0 would get you salah too. KDB is city’s BMP I think you’d be mad to lose him
Yeah I can do that. Vardy has some nasty fixtures. Jesus could easily have had a couple of goals though

That’s a tough spot Fabregas has put you in, Smash. I have KDB as well and was disappointed with his gw1 return, but I think it’s still too early to let him go. I’d give it another week if you can hold off and see what he does at home against Everton. If you do decide to take a hit and bring in Salah, at least wait until after the CL match tomorrow in case there are any injuries.
Yeah sound advice. Salah is probably going up in price tonight. I think I probably should hold tight. I don’t think Fabregas is going down just yet.

Salah looks a threat, but in the long term will Salah + Miki > Fab/Other + KDB? I wouldn’t have thought so. I’ve got the same Fab problem and have KDB, but wouldn’t consider getting rid of both at this stage. Just swap out Fab and hold fire. If KDB isn’t delivering the goods after 6 games, I might swap him out for Eriksen or Mane or something, but too early to ditch right now. Liverpool could implode like Chelsea if they sell Coutinho and it upsets the apple cart.

Conscience says take a -8 so probably ain’t wise. Though if I take a leaf out of waxys book if I take a -12 I’d be on my way to becoming the best
On a serious note I would just do fabregas to Rambo! Your team is solid and will pick up some big points over the coming weeks! The only real issue you have is lack of pool coverage but I’m sure you can sort that out!

Innit – As you know, I’m from Belize. Last weekend i took the pic while I was still on vacation. This pic was taken at a beach place called Mahahual along the coastal shores of Mexico. Had an awesome time with my family.

Thanks Cookie! This is the start of my 6th season in FPL so I know 5 years have passed and I have been following the site ever since. Probably it was still FFCheat at the time so FF247 is around 4 to 5 years. Maybe some of the other folks can confirm.
Think it’s 4 years in November so yeah it’ll have been FFC initially.

Walking down memory lane it seems.
The biggest shame was that we had to get plants to post those links on there in the comments as he wasn’t very happy that we’d started our own site up. All a bit odd as he was shutting that one regardless and we simply didn’t want the community to splinter and be lost. Ironically it was Bench who did it. Who we’ve since banned! All is good with him now though, we speak occasionally offline.

Ha! I’ve said exactly that a dozen times! This week it’s my older son who just went through a surgery and a rough recovery, and our little guy deciding he wants to be up in the middle of the night too! It’s always something…

Evening everyone. Does anyone know when Zaha is scheduled for a doctor’s appointment for this knee injury? Hoping it isn’t serious but the quicker we know the extent the better.

Dummett looked like hamstring so probably a few weeks. He might need replacing
