Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18. And we are back. Again! Get used to the quick turnaround as it is exciting times right now. Presents to buy? Turkeys to prepare? Nah, screw that, it’s football time! Leicester and Palace kick off a bumper weekend that goes all the way through until Monday night this time. They get going at lunch-time on Saturday and are followed by five 3pm games. Saturday evening sees possibly the game of the week as Man City host Spurs in what is a truly mouth-watering clash.

Sunday has two games with Man united visiting Pardew and his West Brom team first, followed by Bournemouth hosting Liverpool. Or at least whichever version of Liverpool Klopp chooses to actually place on the field this time.

We continue through to Monday with Allardyce faced with a home game he is expected to win. Grinding out away draws are more his speciality so this one could be testing as Swansea roll up, legs akimbo.

    Any comment on Kane?
Should we keep hold him just cause he got dgw? Else i am already planning to get kdb or silva and still i will have 9.6 itb for striker!

I’m keeping Kane. There just ain’t any alternatives with the strikers. Lukaku don’t seem to move and is out of form, Morata just coming back and has an injury, Lacazette can’t seem to complete 90. Aguero and Jesus are on a job share and don’t get the minutes. So there is Firmino but not everyone is a fan. At least Kane is banging in the odd goal now and again though not justifying the price

        • Red Robbo says:

Kane is in danger of going down in price so I used that to justify me getting rid of him in the wee small hours last night, and replaced him with Rooney. I now have £7.8m ITB and plan on playing 3-5-2 with an all premium midfield, as that’s where all the points have been coming from lately.

Could work, could turn out to be a terrible mistake but it’s easy enough to bring him back in for the DGW and over the next 3 GW’s I’m comfortable not having him.

What happened to Docoure? Lad got me points first time in 4 GWs and got red flagged.

Lanzini a decent replacement? Got 7.2M

Thoughts on what to do here. My initial thinking is taking a hit. I have 2 free transfers and 2.2 in the bank.

    1) Sterling, Pogba and Jones in for Hazard, RLC and Kiko
    2) Coutinho and Sterling in for Hazard and RLC
    3) Jones and Christenson in for Kiko and Moreno
    4) Smalling and Jones in for a Kiko and Moreno
    5) Anything else

Thoughts on West Ham and in particular cresswell and Lanzini?

Hey guys, bit early to ask for RMT but what do you guys think of the idea of triple city attack? To counter possible rotation I guess I have DCL.

    Hazard + RLC —> KDB + Sterling

I may not afford it if the prices increase.

I see a lot of people raving about Lanzini, but isn’t Arnie a better shout? He seems to be playing centre forward and is finding a bit of form again. Lanzini does seem to be the heart and soul of their attack, and will undoubtably get more assists, but won’t Arnie be the one putting the ball in the net more often than not?
