Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2

None of that Friday night nonsense this week. Our game-week kicks off at lunchtime on Saturday with Cardiff hosting Newcastle, a game that has relegation 6 pointer written all over it. We then have four games at the traditional kick off time of 3pm. Everton entertain Southampton. It’s a battle of the animals at The King Power stadium as the Foxes host Wolves. It’s an all London affair with Spurs playing host to Fulham, while Bournemouth travel to West Ham. Saturday is brought to a conclusion with the game of the weekend when Chelsea host Arsenal at 5:30pm.

Sunday brings us another three games. Burnley host Watford in a game that is unlikely to cure any hangovers. Huddersfield will be hoping to improve on their opening day result but that’s unlikely as they entertain Manchester City. If you’re still hungover come 4pm you might as well switch off the TV as Brighton host Jose and his merry men.

Our game-week is brought to an end with the first Monday Night Football of the season and it has the potential to be a cracker as Liverpool travel to London to face Crystal Palace.

    Hey guys,
Poor week for me until now 23pts with 5 to go and Aguero (c)
Think I’ll have to transfer out Jota tonight due to price rises. I’m open to a hit with 2FTs.
    Any suggestions?

Not happy with Jota & King. I am thinking of Mkhi & Wilson. Who else I should be looking at?

Rest of my team is :

    Ederson Fabianski
    Robertson Coleman PVA Daniels Peltier
    Salah Mahrez Jota Richarlison Cairney
    Aguero King Zaha.

    I am broke lol

site team what are your thoughts with 2 FT. how about eriksen to b.silva and cairney to mkhi?

So I told myself I’d be more sensible this year. No early transfers. No unnecessary hits.

Not even out of GW2 and I’ve just used 2 FT’s and taken a hit before this weeks games have even been played.

As I’m sure a lot are on the same path:

    Pickford/Foster
    Bailly/Mendy/Robertson/Peltier/Wan
    B. Silva/ Salah/ Richarlison/ Jota / Stephens
    Aguero/ Firmino / King

A: Jota & King to Mkhi and Wilson
B: Jota & King to Mkhi and Ings with 0.5 itb to upgrade a defender or Stephens later.

If Ings and Wilson are going to be close on points then Ings is obviously the better option. However, I have a feeling that Wilson will outscore Ings by a lot.

      Bxe2 25. bxa6 Qd3!! 26. Kf2 um I agree that Bournemouth strikers will do better than Ings, Z.

In the unlikely event you have .5 in the bank, can you not just remove Jota from the board, for Mkhi?

        ̶I̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶K̶r̶a̶m̶n̶i̶k̶’̶s̶ ̶g̶a̶m̶e̶?̶ ̶T̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶Q̶d̶3̶!̶!̶ ̶M̶a̶y̶b̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶f̶u̶t̶u̶r̶e̶ ̶d̶o̶e̶s̶ ̶h̶o̶l̶d̶ ̶a̶ ̶g̶a̶m̶e̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶c̶h̶e̶s̶s̶!̶ ̶ ̶(̶I̶ ̶h̶o̶p̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶c̶o̶d̶e̶ ̶w̶o̶r̶k̶s̶)

Oh, I would love to have .5 in the bank. The straight swap would solve GW4’s puzzle but that would ruin the fun.

The resilience towards side moves is inexplicable to me. Mkhi and Wilson it is.

        • Kralin says:

          Wilson’s the man in form.

I’ve gone slightly supine this season, Z. I’m only making transfers if it’s really necessary. I’m giving players three match runs, if possible. So King’ll get another game.

I have the great Hughes of Watford and an extravagant 3.5 in the bank. So will be bringing Mkhi in for him to beef up the midfield providing there are no fallen tomorrow or Monday. Maybe Watford’s manager will read these words and use them to not only inspire Hughes, but the entre team.

          Kramnik yes.

I dont agree that Wilson will outscore Ings.

I don’t think Wilson will outscore King to be honest.

      • Kralin says:

Personally I may well keep King for what may be his swansong versus Everton. Then will have a ponder.

My hurried analysis of Ings versus Wilson was based on their (next 5 or 6) respective fixtures. I would argue, not too strongly but with some conviction, that Southampton’s are more difficult. What are your thoughts – even stevens?

      banjomaker says:

I very nearly did option A, then I realized something similar to option B would mean I could get Alonso too, so I went for that.

Depends on how you plan to use the 0.5, but I do not think there’s a lot between the strikers at that price.

Which combination do people like more based on game time and fixtures?

    Davies (Spurs), Pereyra (Watford), Zaha
    Alonso, Mkhitaryan, Ings
