Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 23

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 23. We’ve gone from feast to famine in terms of a hectic Christmas and NY period to the lull of FA Cup weekend. However we return to normality this week – a 3-day gameweek! We kick off with six 3pm matches – Danny Drinkwater gets a chance to show his old employers how far he has come as he watches Chelsea host Leicester. From the bench presumably. Palace welcome Burnley, West Ham go to Huddersfield, basement dwellers Swansea travel to Newcastle, Watford and Saints meet at Vicarage Road and Lord Pardew looks to continue West Brom’s brilliant run as they host Brighton. The evening match sees bus driver Big Sam drive down to Spurs.

Sunday sees two matches – first up is Wilshere’s journey back to his best days as Arsenal go to Bournemouth before the highlight of the gameweek as Raheem is another to make a return as Man City take the short trip across to Liverpool.

Our gameweek concludes with a Monday night special as under fire Mark Hughes continues the themes of returns as he takes his relegation threatened Stoke lot to Man United.

Good evening! Just logged on and saw the Spurs result. I’m an Arsenal fan, sure, but I’ve never been so pleased with a 4-0 win for them. The trifecta of bonus points there: Kane (c) with 3 was accompanied by Son with 2 and Eriksen with 1 too.

I’ve finally broken into the top 100k in this turblent 2017–18 season! Perhaps it’s too soon to celebrate. I’m glad to see it’s been a successful Saturday for many here.

My 3 yo son’s team. AKA my second team.
This puts him at 1424 points and 816 overall.
I think my second team should be my first team…

Worst part of this game week was my old roommate from University texting me to brag about his “brilliant” transfer of Doucoure. That was such a garbage goal, he practically carried it in the net with his hands. I’m sure the VAR proponents will be talking about that one!

    Hi guys!

How is everyone else gw. I am on 57 points with Jones,Sterling, Firmino, Salah (Captain) to go.

My league leader is 111 points ahead of me and has 6 players to play for this gw (He captained Kane)

Any thoughts on what i should do this GW?
Am thinking of Eriksen to Mahrez

Any thoughts on Fab to Ederson for a hit and for some City exposure?

      Mr Bean says:

WHat’s the rest of your team and what move have you made already?

      • lsd1980s says:

        No moves done yet.

But thinking of the Eriksen to Mahrez move.

I am in a dilemma. 111 points behind League leader…and his team is fairly similar to mine..cept he has the scourge of my existence Alonso and Otamendi…

My christiansen was suppose to “match” alonso..but thats clearly not working…

And i dont have a city defensive cover…

      • Mr Bean says:

Didn’t even click that you were the same as the post above, my bad 😀

I don’t think it’s worth a -4 despite Swansea playing Pool, always the chance for save points there. If Elliot regains his place, and he really should, he’s a good option for a few weeks after GW24.

Tough though with City’s nice looking fixtures.

        • lsd1980s says:

          On slightly separate note.

I just realised, albeit too late , that My league leader has 8 similar players to me.

Given the fact he is 111 points ahead of me and I need to find “differentials”

Do you think it makes sense to play a wildcard now and get diff players to attempt to make up the diff?

        • Red Robbo says:

No point wasting a WC – just pick up differentials over your next few transfers. You only need a few different, not a whole team.

Nope a hit for a GK can’t be worth it
