Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 31. Blink and you’ll miss it, is probably the best way to describe GW31. Or blank GW31 as it is more commonly known. Just four fixtures survive the week due to the FA Cup quarter finals which are also taking place this week.
Three of our games take place at 3pm on Saturday as Bournemouth are the next to have shooting practice vs West Brom, Huddersfield welcome Crystal Palace and Everton get a chance to improve their away record as they go to Stoke.
Of more interest to most will be the evening kick off and the end of our game-week as Liverpool host Watford at Anfield. And that’s it!

Gameweek Tracker GW31-38
Got 89 points and still dropped rank. Just a little outside Top 1K now. I guess rest of the party did better. Anyway, im just happy i didnt use the free hit chip because apart from Liverpool, it was not an exciting GW.

I really can’t decide whether to wildcard this week or next. Just did a quick draft
Smash, show us your current team line up for next week and also what chips do you have left.
My current thinking is to WC in 33, BB and hold transfer in 34, use 2fts for 35 and then prob FH in 37.
I have wasted TC long ago on that loser Kane.
Here it is. I would bring in Lukaku or Auba in for Wilson. More I think about it I might hit the button. Was going to do it next week but a lot of the players I’m going to want are going up. Kane injury is a bit of an issue as will want him back. Yeah I have bench boost and free hit left and wasted triple on bloody Kane

I was thinking about this – wouldn’t you want Spurs and Chelsea players for the two doubles (assuming Chelsea go through)? I wouldn’t want to field them all against each other this week, which is why I’m leaning towards a 33 one. Hadn’t, and still haven’t, looked at price rises mind. Also haven’t really looked at who I want to bring in! I’m thinking Auba and a United player for a hit this week. Can’t afford any nailed on United midfielders unfortunately (unless Lingard is nailed…), so might have to be Young -_-
Yeah this is a really good point I have been thinking about. With Spurs Kane is going to be one you want and probably Son. Maybe Lloris. With the defenders the full backs will be rotated and prob won’t play both games. That leaves the CBS who are expensive. Similar thing with Chelsea Hazard is expensive for what he produces. Willian is good value but could be rotated and you won’t want Giroud or Morata. Leicester could go through though. So which players would you take
The more I think about it, the more I want to use my FH in DGW37! Chelsea have a nice run, but, like you say, I really don’t see any value in most of their players (probably including Willian if he isn’t nailed!)
Let’s hope for Leicester to go through; all aboard the Mahrez and Vardy train!

The idea of using the FH chip in GW37 is very appealing but I’ve got the TC chip to use and having held onto it for this long I feel as though I have to use it on a DGW player!!
Am I able to use my triple captain retrospectively, i.e. on Salah yesterday?
Of course. In the same manner you can use your AoA chip! 😉

Those who used there FH chip this GW, what gains did you make compared to your original team?
Probably impossible to say as they’d have made different moves before it to plan for it. That said, and by way of an example, my nearest ML rival played his and got 109. With his exact team prior to it he’d have got 75 but it’s reasonable to expect that he’d have made 1 or 2 more transfers for it had he not been playing it. Given that playing it seemed to centre around going for 3 Liverpool attackers then let’s assume he’d have accommodated Firmino and Mane regardless then he’d have got 91 in total. So an 18 point gain for playing it.
Not bad. But I’m expecting slightly more than an 18 point advantage when I play mine in DGW37 and have 22 players on show
A few in my main league used it and got scores of around the 100 mark which is what I got without using it so I’m pretty happy
I managed to get 110 (-8) this GW, I used my FH chip back in GW22 and managed to have a gain of 42 points compared to my original team, based on past seasons when I have used my chips I have to admit the FH has been the most effective in points.
Deliberately never chased game week 31 players with my transfers in the run up to the blank game week.
Renfrew Rangers only had four players (five in you include Depoitre who scored 0 points) in Captain Salah, Firmino, Robertson and Walcott so well chuffed with 81 points.
Red arrows with an overall ranking of 2095 but still 4 points ahead of Init in the FF247 Regulars League.
Why oh why did I bottle the triple captain Salah at 1.55pm yesterday afternoon.

Need some advice on what to do with my squad – Ive 1FT and 5m ITB and all of my chips.
The squad is clearly weak – is it best to WC now? Would also appreciate some advice on order of using the other chips – season has went well upto now and would like to see it out.
Where is this so called squad of yours that you are continuously referring to?
