Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 31

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 31. Blink and you’ll miss it, is probably the best way to describe GW31. Or blank GW31 as it is more commonly known. Just four fixtures survive the week due to the FA Cup quarter finals which are also taking place this week.

Three of our games take place at 3pm on Saturday as Bournemouth are the next to have shooting practice vs West Brom, Huddersfield welcome Crystal Palace and Everton get a chance to improve their away record as they go to Stoke.

Of more interest to most will be the evening kick off and the end of our game-week as Liverpool host Watford at Anfield. And that’s it!

    Afternoon all.
Do u think my team needs to wc now?

I’ve been trying to do a draft for a wc team with a “big 3” forward, what do you think?
Looks a bit similar to Rosco’s team, I guess.
The other option would be to downgrade Lukaku or Vardy, and reinforce midfield/defense. Not sure which way to go.

Hi Frenchie, looks ok to me on the face of it but I haven’t looked at all the others properly yet. Who would come in if you were to do the downgrade / upgrade?

Also I’d be wary on having Hart. Not just because they are conceding tons but also there’s no guarantee he will stay in there, especially as he made a(nother) howler last week. That’s assuming you are using BB and actually need him.

Hi guys, I know you are swamped with WC teams but I’m not sure if to keep my team this week and maybe take a -4 for walcott and Mounie to d.silva and lukaku or to WC to this team (open to criticism and advice smile ) I’m in a bit of a pickle as to when to play what, I have all my chips left.
    Thank you x

Or even just use my free hit for Walcott to Sanchez for 1 week before WC

Save the free hit. I’m favouring using the wild card this week. Seems a split on the site and it’s always a personal choice. Guessing it will be either this week or next. I like the wild card team it looks good

Hi Joanne, the scenario is different for everyone and I think that if it’s a choice between this week or next then it depends on 2 things – what your current team looks like this week vs what it could look like with a WC and secondly how close to 34 you want to be before playing it.

The second one there (being close) is more precautionary with regards to injuries and suspensions so as to make sure, as best you can, that you can maximise the BB.

And I think you’ve done exactly the right thing in terms of number 1 and posting up both and looking at it I’d fancy your WC team to score better this week and as such I’d play it this week.

Pretty certain I’m going to press the button. Which is the better draft?

      joanne says:

I don’t like Murrays fixtures at all from week 34 (other than palace) so because of that the 2nd

      • Smash10 says:

Thanks Joanne. With Murray I was thinking of the next 3 games which are decent. and then I’d have Austin in mind. Similar price and for Saints to stand any hope of staying up he will have to score the goals

      hi Smash

Jones is due back. Wont he take Smallings place? Why Karius? 2 Other Swansea defenders are 0.2 less but much the same likely output.
Does Auba deserve to be in?

      • Smash10 says:

I think Smalling keeps his place. He’s played a lot of games in a row . Mourinho weren’t impressed by Jones before he got injured again. Plus I think Bailly is more likely to lose place but could be wrong. With the Swansea defenders if Swansea go to 4 at the back Van der Horn loses his place. Could possibly be Fernandez. Otherwise Naughton is playing wing back. Karius is because Liverpool still have good fixtures and he’s only 4.8. Auba not sure prob fall guy for Kane easy fixtures and guaranteed to play in league
