  • According to Unai “Only Sokratis had one problem, one small injury. Maybe for Monday it’s difficult [for him to play]. The others are OK”
  • Welbeck is back to full training after a minor hammy issue. Ozil is also back as is Mailand-Niles.
  • After a resounding win over Fulham, Emery could be tempted to trot out a similar xi. With perhaps one lazy attacking mid for the other (Ozil in for Mkhi) being the only change. However, Auba and Ramsey will be wanting to start also after their displays off the bench last time out.
  • Emery danced around all questions on Ramsey. Basically saying he only worries about the next match and being ready for that.
  • On Cech the boss had this to say “Petr Cech is getting better from his injury but he’s not training with the group. But I think he’s very close to start with us.”
  • Koscielny and Mavropanos should be back to full training in November.

  • Eddie Howe had this to say on Fraser “He’s been carrying a hamstring injury for a few weeks, we’ll have to see and make a late decision on him, but he’s certainly a doubt.” ahhh, wonderful.
  • Howe also had some fantastic news for King owners “I wouldn’t say he’s 100%, he’s picked up an ankle injury and he’s not trained with us. We’ll see if he goes out [on Friday] and then we’ll make a decision on him.”
  • If Fraser or King or both can’t make it, Eddie could turn to players like Stanislas or Ibe or both. The Cherries are the 4th highest scoring team in the league, one goal ahead of LFC and Spurs so far.

  • Coming back after such a solid 1-0 home win against West Ham we don’t envisage too many unenforced changes for Brighton, but there will be at least one…
  • Davy Propper picked up an ankle injury in said game and so will be out for “a period of weeks”. Dale Stephens seems the most likely to deputise for him.
  • Pascal Gross has returned to training and so is in contention again should Hughton wish to go more adventurous from the off, but this is not a likely scenario.

  • Burnley travel to City this week so there will only be one winner right…. However the Clarets boast an impressive record in matches against the reigning English champions, beating the title winners in each of their last four Premier League campaigns – Manchester United in 2009-10, Man City in 2014-15, Leicester City in 2016-17 and Chelsea in 2017-18.
  • One or both of Robbie Brady and Steven Defour could make the starting lineup, having got 90 minutes under their belts in a friendly during the international break.
  • Stephen Ward recently underwent knee surgery so will have a spell on the sidelines. Charlie Taylor will start at LB.
  • Joe Hart will be hoping not to embarrass himself when he returns to his former club. “He’s very experienced now, he’s played in enough big games. I think he will just want to get on with it,” Dyche said. Tom Heaton has been talking about leaving so Hart looks to be safe for now.
  • Sean Dyche has given his view on Ben Mee and calls on the defender to earn a first England call-up. “On the international thing, I think there have been noises. Why shouldn’t he be considered? I think he should be. He has been somewhat, but I think he should be considered a bit more seriously,” Dyche said.

  • Colin is beginning to grow on me. His delusional comments brighten up my Fridays! This week’s beauty… “If we were playing poorly, I could grasp it, but we’re not. We’re playing quite well”.
  • He then went on to say that if he was a betting man he wouldn’t back Cardiff to stay up!!
  • Bruno Manga will be assessed on his return from international duty today.
  • Joe Ralls chipped a bone in his knee prior to being sent off at Spurs. He’ll miss a few weeks due to that injury. Good thing he’s suspended for three games!
  • Aaron Gunnarsson will be involved but a decision on whether he starts won’t be made until tomorrow.
  • Colin will be short of strikers as Gary Madine is struggling with a virus, while Danny Ward and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing are also out.
  • Colin on Kenneth Zohore, “His training has been good and as a manager you try everything you can to get someone firing on all cylinders. Apart from cooking him a meal I don’t know what else to do with Ken. He’s got to stand up and say ‘I want that shirt’. He’s got every attribute but it’s disappointing he’s not got to that level.” Expect Zohore to start.

  • Chelsea are level on points with Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table after an unbeaten start under Maurizio Sarri. Performances have certainly been impressive despite the Italian only arriving four weeks before the season started. Moaninho has lost his last four visits to Stamford Bridge with United.
  • Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger could miss his first Premier League game of the season because of a groin problem. This is after withdrawing from Germany’s squad during the international break. Conte “Rudiger has done better in the last two days, like Kovacic, I think they will be okay to play”
  • Barkley and Odoi are doubts. Sarri “Then we have a little problem with Odoi and Barkley”
  • Hazard is currently producing more than ever before in a Premier League season, averaging a goal or an assist every 58 minutes – by far the best ratio of his top-flight career. If you don’t have Hazard, Selling Hazard??? Current form If he carries on at this rate, he would finish the season with 33 goals and 14 assists in the league, which would equal a Premier League record for goal involvement.
  • On Madrid claims that Hazard might be a slave at Chelsea. A very well paid slave that is “I don’t know what to say (laughs). I don’t think so. in the last three months he has been very happy, so I don’t think so”.

  • Jokanovic amusingly said: ‘We have a plan for the game. It’s important for us we stick to the plan…put the ball on the field and find a way to score the goals.’ Bet Warnock will be quaking in his boots now.
  • Joe Bryan and Tom Cairney remain side-lined whilst Timothy Fosu-Mensah has been working with the group after sustaining a shoulder injury and will face a late fitness test as he is ‘still not 100% fit’. The manager did say though that he is pleased with how the right-back has been performing in training and that ‘you don’t need to be 100 per cent ready’ in order to play, adding that ‘he is available’.
  • That was all he said from an injuries point of view. Other than that, he talked about ‘weapons’ for the umpteenth time in relation to the qualities of the opposition. Someone buy the man a thesaurus.
  • After their 5-1 thumping againt Arsenal, it will be interesting to see if the manager keeps his faith in Bettinelli, who only managed two saves in the game, or opts for summer-signing Fabri.

  • Klopp on Van Dijk: “Football players play very often with some kind of pain. He has no problems with that (his ribs) anymore.”
  • Should Milner miss out there is the possibility pf Shaqiri dropping into the midfield three. This would see Firmino move out to the left and Sturridge play through the middle.
  • Adam Lallana is also a possibility to start in midfield. Klopp on Lallana, “Hopefully nobody forgot how good he was before his injury. He is extremely close to the team. Whether he will start, we will see. He’s a proper option again.”

  • Jose wasn’t exactly overly helpful in his presser with injury updates and instead simply talked in riddles such as “everybody available is selected” and said that some players returned from international duty with ‘surprise’ injuries, but didn’t say who.
  • Left to our own devices then we do know that Matic, Shaw, Dalot, Fellaini and McTominay all had various issues during the break but whether any are serious enough to keep them out of the game we will just have to wait until Saturday to find out.
  • Sanchez will be hoping for a recall at the expense of either Rashford or Martial and Juan Mata could well feature somewhere having come on to good effect against Newcastle. If you’re sweating on either of these playing though you are probably a bit off the pace in FPL anyway!
  • One thing we do know is that Jose will be on the bench having been granted an extention until Wednesday to appeal his touchline ban. In which case we’d lay good money on there being another charge to answer before the first one is even dealt with!

  • Southampton haven’t earned a Premier League win since early September and the saints attack is struggling. They failed to find the net in clashes against Liverpool (3-0), Wolverhampton (2-0) and Chelsea (0-3) since mid-September and just once against Everton (1-1) in League Cup. Hughes disagrees “I think you’re painting a picture that’s a little bit darker than it needs to be”. Hughes likes losing. More wisdom from Sparky “If we convert more of them (chances) we’ll score more goals and win more games”. Genius!
  • Hughes said: “Alex McCarthy came back early from the England squad, only because he’d had a little bit of tightness for a couple of weeks in his hamstrings. So he’s expected to be fit.
  • Mark Hughes confirmed that he’ll have a full complement of players to chose from ahead of this weekend’s Premier League trip to Bournemouth. “Thankfully everybody seems to have come through their international games fit and well,” Hughes said.

  • The Hornets seem to have lost their sting! They were off to a flyer with maximum points from their first four games with wins over Brighton, Burnley, Palace and Tottenham. Since then they have gained just one point. However, Gracia is still loving life. “I feel very happy here,” said Gracia. “I feel the love by the supporters and by the club”.
  • Watford will be forced to change their defence as regular bad boys Christian Kabasele and José Holebas are both suspended. Summer signing Adam Masina could make his first PL start while Prödl, Britos and Mariappa will compete against each other to play alongside Cathcart in defence.
  • Watford winger Gerard Deulofeu could start against Wolves on Saturday – after returning to action from the bench against Bournemouth. Hornets boss Javi Gracia said: “I think he is ready. “He has been working hard in these last two weeks and he is in his best condition. “I don’t know if he is able to play 90 minutes at his best level, but I think he is in good condition to play.”
  • Roberto Pereyra scored his first goal for Argentina last week, in their 4-0 win over Iraq in Saudi Arabia. He was the only Watford attacking player away on international break so Watford should be pretty fresh.
  • Meanwhile Chalobah and Navarro are doubts. “Tom Cleverley and Daryl Janmaat are definitely out” said Gracia.

  • Wolves host Watford on the back of four wins from their last five games. They have conceded just six goals from their opening eight league games. The Championship champions have only lost once so far and currently find themselves in seventh spot, above Manchester United. They’ve lost just two of 27 home league games under Nuno, both of which came last season! Is that enough praise for Wolves.
  • Wolves’ team has been the easiest to predict of any team so far. So you probably are not even bothering to read this. That’s because they’ve named the same Starting eleven for all 8 matches so far.

    Evening folks.

Team is below, I could afford to do Mane to Sterling and Kane to Aguero for a -4. Sound like a good idea? I know Mane hasn’t been completely ruled out and Pep’s rotation means Sterling could be sidelined (nothing surprises me with him), but your thoughts would be much appreciated!

Help please, 2ft and .3 in the bank.
I was going to just change Walker to Mendy this week.
Now the Mane injury is a little concerning, so I thought about Walker to Doherty and Mane to Sterling, but of course that could be a waste cause Sterling might not play with Pep being Pep, I am making myself dizzy!
