Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017-18 Brutal Honesty

BRUTAL. HONESTY. We are past the half way stage, and have a bit of of a break now, so we thought it pertinent to check back in with a few old hands to see how their seasons are going and what their thoughts are on both the fare so far and how they think things will pan out ahead. Given the title, we have chosen them carefully –

In trap No.1 is Mr Brutal himself. Mito. It’s practically his middle name. If anyone ever needs a ‘pick me up’ during a particularly dire GW then be sure to follow us on twitter… Mito will be on hand to drive that stake right the way through. And then twist it.

In trap No.2 is Mr Honesty. You get what you see with Cookie. He’s been there, seen it and done it all. And fell asleep at most points along the way.

In trap No.3… Oh, hang on, there were only two words in the title. We probably require some insignificant blandness then. Maybe A Lump Of Coal?! Poor old Kop. Once christened, and never twice shy. He accepted the nickname without a blink of an eye, which probably says it all!

And so without any further ado, they are all seated and ready to answer our probing questions. We warmly welcome our guest stars. And a Lump Of Coal.

HEALTH WARNING – The questions are brutal, hopefully the answers will be honest….

The FA Cup Quarter Finals are scheduled for 17th March 18 which is the same weekend as Game Week 31.

I don’t know if anyone is interested or whether the FPL247 guys can pin this somewhere on the website.

There will be some of the below games cancelled but as of today:-

AFC Bournemouth vs West Bromwich Albion
    BURNLEY vs Chelsea
    Huddersfield Town vs Crystal Palace
    Leicester City vs ARSENAL
    Liverpool vs Watford
Manchester City vs Brighton & Hove Albion
    STOKE CITY vs EVERTON
    Swansea City vs Southampton
    Tottenham Hotspur vs Newcastle United
West Ham United vs Manchester United

Brighton play Palace tomorrow so another Premier League team will be knocked out.

If updated as each FA Cup round progresses then should help managers plan their transfers / Free Hit Chip / Wildcard.

Teams in CAPS are out of FA Cup.

Worth keeping an eye on Jamie and if you want to keep updating it as we go along then that’d be great. It is still 3 cup rounds away though.

I know that Crellin bloke on twitter gets a hard on about now every year but in all honesty it doesn’t matter a jot until it is all confirmed. I don’t know about you but I’ve never once made a transfer on the basis of future speculation.

Afternoon lads and lasses, I gave a shout out to you fine bunch on the Who Got the Assist pod tonight! I’m not around as often as I’d like but still count this as FPL home smile

Thanks Alex! You podcast whore, you! laugh

Never actually listened to this one but will do this time. I think they’re ex-Scout members these days? May still be, I’m not sure.

Good to hear that you never forget where your home is. Despite flitting around so much! Funny that, from someone who emigrated literally half way around the world smile

Nice article fellas. Interesting to think about the ideal core in a WC team. Getting Kane, Kun, Salah, Alonso and Otamendi (+Sterling?!) is going to be bank-busting for many– thought I had reasonable TV and I’d struggle I think.

Is Kun instead of Kane a decent shout in the coming weeks? #BudgetFriendly
