Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017-18 Brutal Honesty

BRUTAL. HONESTY. We are past the half way stage, and have a bit of of a break now, so we thought it pertinent to check back in with a few old hands to see how their seasons are going and what their thoughts are on both the fare so far and how they think things will pan out ahead. Given the title, we have chosen them carefully –

In trap No.1 is Mr Brutal himself. Mito. It’s practically his middle name. If anyone ever needs a ‘pick me up’ during a particularly dire GW then be sure to follow us on twitter… Mito will be on hand to drive that stake right the way through. And then twist it.

In trap No.2 is Mr Honesty. You get what you see with Cookie. He’s been there, seen it and done it all. And fell asleep at most points along the way.

In trap No.3… Oh, hang on, there were only two words in the title. We probably require some insignificant blandness then. Maybe A Lump Of Coal?! Poor old Kop. Once christened, and never twice shy. He accepted the nickname without a blink of an eye, which probably says it all!

And so without any further ado, they are all seated and ready to answer our probing questions. We warmly welcome our guest stars. And a Lump Of Coal.

HEALTH WARNING – The questions are brutal, hopefully the answers will be honest….

Mahrez apparently set for Liverpool medical tomorrow, £49m. If this actually goes through, does that make Mahrez more or less appealing as an FPL player? And what of other Leicester players like Vardy, Albrighton, etc?

      Kop Warrior says:

I’m not sure Red. When Klopp fielded his strongest XI Coutinho was playing in a midfield 3. I can’t see Mahrez playing in a midfield 3 and therefore I see him starting more games from the bench.

      • RedVT says:

Hmm, that’s interesting Kop. Bound to be some pissed off Mahrez owners (10.8% tsb) who’ve been enjoying his points and liking his upcoming fixtures! I’m actually more interested in what it’ll mean to Albrighton’s points potential as he’s a decent option (as you noted in GABO) for 5.5 and will free up some money for other moves. Arrrgh, freakin’ January transfer window!

Understand #lfc NOT interested in signing #lcfc forward Riyad Mahrez. No contact between clubs, £50m fee suggested elsewhere is well below what Leic want, and Klopp has other targets. Mahrez and Coutinho both represented by Kia Joorabchien.

I saw some earlier reports denying it as well, Dreamers. Not sure what to believe, I wouldn’t have posted anything about it except 3 or 4 reputable (not the S*n or Mirror) sources all started running with it. Guess we’ll find out more tomorrow, it is the silly season after all!

      Hahahaha ))))) !!!

My wife asked me to spend “at least one normal NYE” and forget about FF for at least 48hrs !
I woke up on 01.01 half an hour after the deadline having only Kane in my squad before the DGW laugh !
Suffice to say I was hiding behind the sofa the next few days : ))))))))) ….

      Luckily, somehow I survived…
Ended up just 8pts below the average score and went down “only” 50k places…

No more! I say – no more smile

Anyone still having Richarlison? And is Shaw’s place in the starting XI pretty nailed on now?

      The Padster says:

i think Lingard is the flavour of the month instead of Richarlison and Young is back from suspension Jan 20th GW 24 so either Lindelof or Shaw could face the axe!
