MLS Chat Room 2015

wp_ss_20150324_0005“With the Red Bulls nearing a shut out, Keane receives the ball just inside the 18 and plays a neat wall pass with Zardes to put him into the 6, his shot on frame is rejected out of bounds by the goal tender but the referee seems to have blown for a PK to the offense for an alleged double team”…

Welcome to the FF247 MLS Chat Room for the 2015 season. A hidden gem within the site if you will, for those fantasy managers who just love to play whatever games they can get their mitts on and specifically in this case MLS. Most of us started playing fantasy MLS back in 2013 and were soon hooked. The aim of the Chat Room is to allow a space for those that play it to come on and post and chat whatever they want about MLS – be it a traditional RMT, some team news, a helpful link to some relevant information or site, info about the many DGW’s, info about the many blank game weeks, info about the many international call up weeks (!).

Whatever is on your mind that is MLS related you can post in the Chat Room and know that it won’t be lost and confused on the FPL chat boards and you can easily access it at any time by simply clicking on the MLS tab at the top of the FF247 home page.

Good Afternoon everyone – something of interest.

Our own Captain America, Mito, is currently 4th in the World for MLS Fantasy. OK this is ‘mid-gameweek’ but nonetheless remarkable. Best of luck for the season Mito. Go win the thing!

For any MLS fans out there. Want to say congrats to Lawdogg and Chins two of our fpl captaincy writers. They managed the number 1 and 2 scores for the GW. #ExtremelyImpressive

On top of that, the FF247 writers have 4 teams in the top 8 overall.
With the official FF247 team in 3rd, I am in 5th, Potty and Morbid have a joint team in 6th and Chins used his massive score to catapult himself into 12th.

Well done lads! Hopefully one of the teams will win so we can claim a fantasy title for the trophy case.

Absolutely brilliant! Although that’s not quite how you put it on the MLS site itself! laugh

Well done to both Chins and Law this week. They may have cheated a bit with Maidana but hey it’s great anyway 😉

Well done to the others who are all up there in the overall too. Reckon we’ve got a great chance of doing something special this season.

I may have sourced us a great weekly MLS article too. More news to follow…

      • errr, I think someone stole my log-in over there.

The article sounds great, hopefully that will help any future MLS lurkers.

I didn’t know Rich was playing. I’d like to thank him anyway, just in case smile

        • I doubt he is lurking right now, surely he is working on that laundry list you gave him or just laundry. Probably using cloth diapers.

        • inittowinit says:

Whatever he’s doing I’d like to officially thank him for doing it.

        • Lawdogg says:

Thanks Mito and Innit. I’ll have to take Mito’s word that someone stole his log-in… I know you secretly don’t hate me but, don’t worry, you’re secret is safe with, erm… me? We’ll work that out later.

A great accomplishment for this site two have two guys at the top for the week and another group at the top overall. Great publicity for the site.

Excited we may be getting a weekly MLS blog on here. Unless there’s an email in my inbox asking me to write it. Then i’m not so excited!

Why do you think Bry had to do last seasons?! That’s your prize when you come 1st. It’s due in an hour, you’d best get to work…

        • Lawdogg?! Lawdogg?! That figures, oh well might as well get Bry to write it.

Thanks Mito, and very well done to you too sir. – Fantastic season so far.

Now, if we can get the Ninja Skertls team manager to convert from lurker to poster, we’ll have even more to boast about! hint… hint….

Hmm, these next three weeks are awfully tough to prepare for. Any tips anyone? laugh

      Lawdogg says:

      Hiya NIN,

I’m using this WC to plan for GW 17 when it seems like everyone has a DGW. I’d start by drafting the team you want in that week (17). Then figure out how to get there using your free transfers.

For example, I know I want Jorales and Gio but they don’t play in GW 15. I’m thinking of playing The Kakas and Pappas (folk music anyone?) in GW 15 and then using my 2 FT in GW 16 to bring in Jorales and Gio, who will then anchor my GW 17 team.

      Hope this helps. Good luck!

      inittowinit says:

Hi NIN, I’m not sure yet. Got 2 options here. Hell for leather in this one (15) and then WC in 16 or 17 or plan ahead as per LawDogg and take a considered view over the 3. Do that and I’ll still have a WC for another week. Depends how the team looks once formed this week in relation to an ideal team for 17. Edging toward the LawDogg plan right now as most teams will look the same this week and with a few transfers probably still look the same come 17.

NIN – don’t make any transfers now, mate – Wait for Pirlo :hippo: –> he is packing his bags to join Frankie & David (Villa) in New York !!

      Zizou says:

Not that tough, keep it simple. Create a team for GW17, add some bench fodders who’ll play this week(Polster/Boden/Ramos), make couple of changes to this team bringing players who play this week and switch to your main targets later on.
