World Cup 1st Group Phase Live Match Chat

Welcome to World Cup 1st Group Phase Live Match Chat. The long four year wait is over and so is the tinkering for the first set of matches. We hope that you are happy with the 15 players you ended up with, but even if you decided against playing the fantasy version we still encourage you to partake in the chat below. We are sure there will be plenty to discuss that doesn’t always involve whether you should get assist points for a shot that was blocked or your striker really did touch the ball a la Kane before it went in. Predictor games, brackets, bets on the golden boot are all welcomed here. And yeah, even old school footy chat for those that who are just watching the games for fun and just want to talk about the Joga Bonito.

So that you have them to hand, we will post a screenshot of the substitution rules, transfer allotment, wildcard, boosters and of course we will have times and dates for all matches in this, the first of three group phases/rounds/fixtures or whatever you want to call it.

Changes made. Do we think Mojica will start, so I can swap him for Mueller?

I agree with you on Portugal having the best player and Spain the best team based on what I’ve seen so far.

I think England are in for a though gave tomorrow. Watched Tunisia in recent friendlies and they aren’t half tough.

    Quick question guys.
If you don’t use your FT for round two will you have 2 FT after that?

That’s quality. I clicked the link with a preconception that it’d be naff but it was really, really good. Started slow but got me at Vardy Party and £10 Sterling and got stronger from there on. The Queen / Usain Bolt thing was the only poor bit after that.

Total car crash! I picked Lloris, Hegazi, Mercado, Otamendi, Miranda, Isco, JMario, Kroos, Messi, Neymar, Arrasceto. My ML opponents were envious now they’re really taking the piss.

Don’t worry that much. We all jumped on the bandwagon as usual.
After the next round the picture will be clearer.

Panic not. In FPL terms we are at about GW4 right now of a 38 week season.

(We are roughly about 68.75% of the way through phase 1 of 7. Each phase represents roughly 5.43 FPL GW’s.)

In other words it’s early days. And as Ivan sort of said, loads of time to pick upon who the new bandwagons are.
