Fantasy Premier League £500 Regulars League 2019/20

Hello everyone and welcome back to the FF247 Regulars League(s).

The purpose of this article is so that our Regulars League has a permanent home for reference points throughout the season such as cup draws and the like. It is permanently linked on our Hot Topics just above the latest comments.

As usual we will have a Regulars Classic League and we also have H2H leagues with promotion and relegation as well as a Regulars Cup starting in January.

We do have a main FF247 league and that is open to every man/woman and their dog. There is no autolink facility available from FPL yet but if you wish to join that one, for which there will also be a prize, the code is;

FF247 Main Site League – ikkny1 Which is almost kinky…

The Regulars League is a bit more selective. You have to be a member of FF247 and you have to post comments in the community here on a regular enough basis to be easily recognisable, and posting is monitored by the way.

Its not hard to join, e-mail me (Elle) at the address below and leave these details for me.
1- Your site user name.
2- Your real name.
3- Your team name from last season and new team name if it has changed. New members, just your team name.

These leagues are free to join but you do need to mail me. Deadline is midnight on the 6th August for the H2H leagues as I’ll need time to promote people if we have drop-outs. The Classic Regulars League can remain open for longer. Get mailing folks :- elleffcee@gmail.com

All we ask is that if you enter the league please keep the league code to yourself and don’t share it with friends and family who don’t frequent the site. It’s a community only league and we would like to keep it that way.

    This is my current draft.
Am considering Perez after spotting he is a midfielder now.
At 6.5m, I need to somehow get 1.5m from somewhere if I am to maybe get him in, if its worth it.
I can do Diop to Kelly, and Digne to Coleman and Duffy to Dunk, to give me the 1.5m.
    Is it worth it?

The £4m DEF question. Kelly is a popular choice, but what about Reid?

Did he play this past season?

I will just play 4 at the back from the start with any 4.0m def as the last bench player, or second to last, and see how the season unfolds and whether there’s a nailed 4.0m def, I can then get that nailed def on a WC, or not, it’s not very important imo…

      • Zed Leppelin says:

I think you never have a situation in which you’d have 5 at the back, the only way a nailed 4.0m is important is if you play him as a third or fourth def in a rotation, if he’s just nailed on the bench then it’s irrelevant imo

        • Kralin says:

Yes I agree. Most if not all of us who went with Peltier last season got away with his very limited minutes. Other members of the bench absorbed non-starters in the first XI. He (Peltier) sat shivering at the end of people’s benches, neglected but useful.

Whether we’ll ever have another 4m player as rewarding as W-B is moot, though. But hope springs eternal.

What about Reid, analyst. Tell us what you know. A community holds its breath in anticipation.

Where has your research led you?

      • analyst says:

Kelly over Reid at this stage. Both teams focussed on boltering their MID and FWD options, either could find themselves with a good run, depending on injuries. Definitely worth placing on the watchlist.

Latest draft below. Tielmans or Perez, should make the final draft, bot not both.

Dwight McNeil (6.0) will be the bargain of the season.

Rohit Sharma(VC) doing some good damage here. Don’t think Dhoni will get any play time today..

    OK> Coleman+ Mendy+Salah OR Digne+Laporte+Mane?

Something is wrong, when you end up with Ryan as your goalie.
Thank god gw1 is a long way to go

Maddison to Perez, who has just joined Leicester, could allow Button up to a 4.5 who rotates well with Ryan.

Join the club – so yes, time to be very worried. But there’s not a lot of choice down at the bottom of the bargain bins.

I keep thinking (or at least do every now and then): shall I just pick Ederson and be done with it? Or Pickford.

      • Wafflez says:

Ederson or Lloris if I’m gonna go with set and forget goalie

        • Wafflez says:

Something like this in that case

        • Kralin says:

Thanks for sharing your side. All looks fine. I was thinking more Pickford myself (those fixtures until the wildcard) if I go down that route.

Are you not enamoured of Everton players? Outside the top 3 they have tasty fixtures so seem less risky to me. I know that can all backfire, however, but not the worst of punts.

For me I’m thinking one of Perez / Vardy depending on who I go for from Spurs.

To be frank I haven’t even decided on which formation I’m going to use.

        • Wafflez says:

I will probably get Digne or Coleman and if I can afford him Siggy
