FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 11

Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 11. It was a poor game-week for many and we were not about to let down the masses. We didn’t even break the average, scoring just 42pts vs an average of 46, which sees our ranking drop down to 348,773. Very disappointing. In a week where a load of teams saw their vice-captain come into play, sadly ours didn’t. Richarlison (c) played, sort of, did nothing, got booked and scored a point. Idiot. Our vice-captain was ironically our highest scorer – good old Firmino, we never doubted you. Gross and Sterling scored 7 each, jeez even Alonso scored 6 with a clean sheet for once and still we fell. We should have known what was to come when we left de Gea on the bench for the early kick off. It wasn’t pretty, but we’ll pick ourselves up and try harder this week!

Last weeks ‘result’…

This weeks transfer…
Selling : Suttner
Buying : Dunk

We are supposed to make this bit sound sexy and exciting aren’t we? We’ve bought some hot prospect with a great fixture and here’s the stats that back it up etc, etc… Hmmm. Ok. Let’s just say that this one was functional at best. We faced the prospect of fielding 10 players as we were, if Davies put in another non-appearance, which is highly likely. We either removed him or dealt with another defender who almost certainly won’t play if recent evidence is anything to go by. We decided it best to replace the lesser and keep Davies for those games that he may bother to turn up in. We were restricted to £4.4m in budget then and as such we looked at who had the best fixtures in the (extreme) short team, knowing that we still have that WC in hand that we keep threatening to break out at some point. Brighton have Swansea and Stoke up next and that was about as good as it got given the budget. So yeah, we aren’t overly excited or indeed optimistic but at least we should now field a full team. To further dampen the spirit we are actually going to bench him this week to begin with! We fully expect he will come on to replace Davies and complete our 11 but on the off chance that Poch surprises us we will take a Davies start against Palace ahead of Dunk.

The team in full
And so this is how we line up ahead of GW11…

Our Captain is Harry Kane
Fairly route one this and it will hardly be a differential this week with the hottest property (possibly) in world football facing up against one of the weakest. This one has either a nice big hat-trick or a big fat blank written all over it. We are happy to take the chance on the former knowing that the latter will sting the majority just as much if it occurs.

So it looks like Coutinho won’t make it. Thankfully Kane will..

Not sure if I should ride out this week as I really want to have the 2 FTs over the international break and my defenders have decent games.

Also Pool have a nice Anfield fixture against Saints so it would be good to have Coutinho in as a nice differential as he’s only owned by 6% or so.

Or If I should sub out Coutinho for Pedro/Mahrez?

Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks guys!

    Afternoon everyone!
My defence is looking a bit of a mess, with Mbemba not getting game time (which led to me only having 10 outfield players last week!), Fonte injured and Jones and Monreal both having tough fixtures. Out of these, Fonte needs to go, really – who would you recommend to replace him with a £5m budget?

    Cheers!

Any recommendations for changes this week. Had 34 pts last GW and think I need a few changes. I changed Lakaku to Kun last week and then he played mid-week and was benched. Am I looking for the same to happen again this week? Should I change him back or maybe bring in a City Mid knowing they may not play every week. Sterling seems to be scoring while coming in late, is he the move. Willing to take a hit to make three moves. I have 2 FT and 1.3 ITB.

I wouldn’t suggest wholesale changes the week before an International break Dizynut. Unless you have Silve/KDBthen any of the Man City forwards and midfielders are liable to be rotated, so generally just pick one or two and stick with them.

You’ll need to change Cedric after this GW as Soton’s fixtures turn awful, so maybe just use one transfer and keep two for after the IB? Is there one of Erik/Salah you would sell to bring in Man City? If not, then possibly just change Fellaini to a playing midfielder for now.

A late comment for the site team. I would worry about starting Davies. Rose is short of game fitness (maybe Aurier starts?), and can see Davies logging a last 15 minutes for a glorious point. I’d be inclined to go with Suttner as a starter. Good luck, whichever way.

Good evening all, as u can see I dont have kane in my team but want to take him again in my team. Confused about the following transfer decisions:

    1. Lukaku/Aguero + Davies to Kane + Mee/Duffy/Daniels (-4hit)
    2. Morata + Davies + Choupo-Moting to Kane + Mee/Duffy + RLC (-8hit)

Any other suggestion would be very much appreciated.
