FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 33

Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 33. So our first week with our 2nd wildcard was….ok. Which perfectly sums up our recent performance really. We scored 58, the average was 48 and we saw another small green arrow, climbing 8.5k places to 148,105. We still yearn to get inside the top 100k and with the Bench Boost, Free Hit and Triple Captain left to play we hope we have every chance to do and much more if we utilise them properly.

GW32 saw some good – clean sheets from DDG (obviously) and Morgan, goals from Vardy and capo Salah, an assist from Son and a welcome brace from Aubayemang;
and some bad – Murray’s missed penalty and a Bailly no-show;
and some ugly – West Brom scoring vs our pair of Burnley defenders and no returns from Mahrez or William.

Last weeks result…

This week’s transfer – we have held the transfer!
To be honest we always planned to hold the transfer this week in preparation for using 2 for next week’s Bench Boost. It actually feels wrong benching young Ibe for the visit of Palace, but he is there ready to come on if someone doesn’t play at the weekend (probably Salah!!!)

We have also decided to bench DDG for United’s visit to City – so it’s double Brighton as they host Huddersfield who haven’t scored in four matches….oh boy, you can see how this plays out eh?!

The team in full

Our captain is Aubayemang, vice captain is Salah Vardy

Quite surprising maybe but Salah pays the price for only scoring once last week and PEA, Auba, whatever you want to call him, takes up the mantle as we try and gain more than a few thousand places. This could easily come back to bite us, but hey, there’s nothing like chasing last week’s points is there? Plus Southampton at home seems to be a good a fixture as one can get at the moment and of course our skipper has had a few days off while Salah had a date with Man City in midweek. And then of course came off a bit injured, and hence we’ve now even relegated him to ‘player only’ status and promoted Vardy to the vice job. We may well yet reverse this if Klopp comes out and says Salah is both 100% and 100% fit, but he likely won’t do that.

    Anyone got any pearls of wisdom to sort this shite tip out? I was originally thinking of bringing in Ramsey for Mkhi, but rotation worries me with him having played 90 minutes twice in the past week. I’m using the free hit in GW34 so really need someone who plays in GW33 and 35. Best fixtures look like Arsenal, Liverpool (have three though!) and Watford (arguably also City, but United is a bit of an obstacle). Got £0.2m in the bank, 1 FT, but looks like a hit is almost a given unfortunately.

    Could be on for a solid five-a-side team this week with the injuries and likely rotation, so a punt on Ramsey worries me now.

    Another option is to hit the WC button, but done no planning for it, so don’t feel very comfortable reverting to that now at the last minute.

    Thanks in advance.

      I would Wc ideally, as it ends near there will be even more rotation with City having title in bag and West brom also almost relegated, would it be worth it to holding wc for later when there will be even more rotation? Also I think Ramsey should start.

      • AT says:

        Cheers Snookie. I’m not totally convinced City will rotate. If they get knocked out of Europe (which looks fairly likely atm), Pep will only have his sights on beating Chelsea’s 95 points record for the PL, which they are clearly capable of reaching, and even then 100 must surely be an objective. The odd player yes, but I don’t think it will be as much as we are fearing (at least if Liverpool don’t flop in the UCL smile )

        Interesting on Ramsey – what makes you think that? I hope so if I go for it! haha

    Couple of quick questions :
    1- For everyone keeping Salah, are you starting him or sticking him first spot on bench?
    2- Should I play Lowton (Wat, away) or Kenedy (Lei, away)?

    Evening all, not a terrible team but I do have some problems.
    To Kane or not to Kane… which would involve taking a hit… I am afraid of selling Salah just for him to end up playing on Sunday, remember when KdB was “injured” in December and the very next GW there he was playing and banging goals in!!

    Any help here is appreciated.

      We’ve just seen a tweet with the Liverpool team on (it’ll be added and changed on the Team News article shortly) and basically there’s no Salah or Firmino. They’re usually bob on too. VVD does play. In light of that I’d probably be looking at changes and yes Kane would be one for sure.

      I’d personally WC if I were you. Quite a few players I’d swap out (Stan, Mee to cheaper BUR option, Elliott, Zeeg, Mounie etc), downgrade the defence and redistribute funds to your front line. Definitely get Kane in. Just my two cents.

      Lots to think about, didn’t realise both Salah and Firmino would be out sad

      Thanks for the feedback guys!!

    Need some help on this WC team. Idea is to do BB in GW34, but don’t don’t have free hit chip for 35. But at this point I just need a massive boost as I’m not doing well in my leagues.

    Not sure about gudmonsson and kiko, one is doubtful and other doesn’t have DGW. Considering bringing in Ibe and Smalling instead. Ibe though doesn’t have the best games.

    Thoughts?

    So after much deliberation (and input from Matt/Smash; thanks folks) this is where I’ve landed. Kaku to come in for Auba next week. Good to go? Bench order right?
