Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2018-19

International break time can only mean one thing, it is ‘Bore off’ time. The old guard is back in place for this one.

Thanks to Cookie, Init and Kop for once again jumping on here and providing some answers to some of the questions that many have on their mind and some questions that apparently only I would have on my mind. What are the fellas thinking about Kun’s minutes, Salah’s form and Giroud’s looks all that and much more…

Ok, let’s get it on!

I’m fairly new to the site and therefore this format. Do you ever open up the forum to user submitted questions? Imagine it’s done on Twitter which I don’t use anyway!

I don’t think we ever have AK but there’s absolutely no reason why we shouldn’t, it’s a great idea for the next one.

Likewise if anyone ever wants to actually answer them on the article itself as a guest we are always up for that, they just need to shout. Kop did comment privately the other day that we do all tend to end up giving similar answers, albeit independently, on the FPL related ones so new voices are always welcomed. We often ask the (wider) writing team to do them but they sometimes need a break also.

In the past and it has been a while, I have asked on here if there are any questions people want asked. So yes, but it has been a bit. And yeah, we are willing to throw in someone from the boards and there has been several. Smash, Kralin and a couple of others have participated.

Will ask on here if anyone has any questions they want asked.

Not been updated on the FPL site yet.

I tend to base any transfer on a player with a run of decent fixtures rather than a one week punt.

Which transfer seems best in your opinion….

Alli to mane or deeney to mitrovic.

I have 1m in the bank so could do either transfer.

    Thanks in advance.

Is Kane to Firmino for an FT a decent shout? Can use the spare money to upgrade my 4th MF Neves( who can then become my second or third MF). Or other option is to get Arnie/Mitrovic for Kane and upgrade Neves to KDB..

      Kralin says:

Not a bad shout at all, given the fixtures. None of those three are to be sniffed at. Mitrovic has the fixtures but given Fulham’s woes in defence (I was seriously thinking of recommending a Cardiff player for captain this week) he may spend the next 270 minutes gathering cobwebs.

Who are we thinking for best Kane replacement?

I’m teetering on Kim but I feel Lacazette might be the lad to go for value wise

        • roccerfeller says:

          **Kun

        • Bry says:

The good thing about teetering on Kim is there isn’t far to fall.

        • roccerfeller says:

          ^LOL

        • Kralin says:

Maybe the best Kane replacement is Kane. Just keep him for the GW and review after. Seriously. I think in week 9 he’s a better choice than Lacazette.

          I’ve gone for Kun, however.

        • roccerfeller says:

I thought about that too Kralin, especially given how he historically plays vs West Ham. However I just don’t like the look of the Spurs right now. After that last match I couldn’t help but feel something is wrong with them. But perhaps I am being too hasty. He is still getting in the box and getting shots. However I do worry about Kun ownership, especially if he lights it up vs Burnley.

I think I am just worried about my rival who has now caught up to me and surpassed me by a few points when I had a comfy 30 point lead not too long ago

        • Kralin says:

Have you got Salah? If so, you may well end up keeping. Kane’s not such a bad option. At least you know he’ll get 90 minutes. But in terms of value, hmm.
