Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2018-19

Having heard from the positive bunch, we now move onto the ones who are not so much, which should be fun… To be fair, we’ve been massively judgemental and quick to conclude based on a one line response. We shall let you judge for yourselves whether we were right or not… #wewere 😉

Welcome to all, from the Glass is half empty club….

    I am going with Kane as could be great differential, especially with new ground game so here it is:
    Ederson ( Hamer)
    Luiz, WB, Duffy ( Simpson Connolly)
    Sterling, Hazard, Pogba, Camarasa ( Dendoncker)
    Aguero, Kane, Rashford – if not fit either Batshuayi or Jimenez

      Kralin says:

      Key thing is: are you captaining him? If so, the rewards could and I hope will be enormous for you. But given that a lot of TC will be going for Kun or Sterling (one would have thought) plus the volume of FHitters going for a City captain, the decision is quite a tough one (OR could take a battering if it backfires).

      If you’re not thinking of captaining him then have you thought of Higuaín, then spreading the change and boosting your weaker defender and midfielder?

      I started with Kane, took him out, tried again, but whenever I add him it unbalances my side.

      If his fixtures were Fulham(H), Bournemouth(H) I’d have him in like a shot, and captain him, but there’s not enough there for me and that, plus the price, is currently torpedoing him as an option for me.

      However, as mentioned – go for it, he’s absolutely ace, will play 180 mins (doesn’t play in 33 either I think) and is in no way a bad pick.

      • Smash says:

        Yeah I agree. Fixtures are not good enough for me. Just prefer the balance of having a stronger defender and midfielder instead.

        • Kralin says:

          I’m going to have a look at the 4/3/3 later, to cut out the cheaper 4th mid options. But I daresay I’ll end up on 3/4/3.

          A Man U injury update would be handy, so anyone in the Manchester area with high-powered binoculars, plus keep us posted.

        • Smash says:

          I just had a quick look. It don’t look that good. Might be the way to go if Rashford is out though. Seem to sacrifice a Chelsea or United player

      • Stone Frog says:

        Beyond Sterling Hazard and Pogba I don’t see another mid (Premeim or cheap) who are that attractive. So may as well go 433 with Kane.

        • GentleBenAKA says:

          Milivojevic? On directs and pens. First game in his DGW is HUD(H)…

        • Stone Frog says:

          Milli is a fair point. It dies say something when a palace mid is the most exciting option. It probably comes down to Milli vs Bats/Zaha on whether to 442 or 433.

      Elleffcee says:

      What about Kane + Kun in a 4-4-2 ?

        • Zed Leppelin says:

          Boils down to whether a 6m City or Chelsea def is better than a Milivojevic…

        • Stone Frog says:

          True Zed with a lower TV it’s tempting to not play Kane. Something like Bats with Laporte Smalling Rudiger Luiz and Sclupp?

        • Zed Leppelin says:

          I quite like Bats, he’s proven in the prem already, remember a season or two ago when Chelsea had a DGW and everyone loaded up on Hazard and Costa, but it was Bats who did the business !

      • Zed Leppelin says:

        Or Kane+Kun in a 5-3-2… Hmmm… I’ll have to check whether I can afford that…

        • Zed Leppelin says:

          Well I can afford that with a horrendous defense, think it’s just not worth it… Kane I mean…

        • Elleffcee says:

          :thumbup:
          Post your squad Zed, just to see how it looks.

        • Stone Frog says:

          Formation wise it reduces to something like Luiz/Rudiger (532) vs Milli (442) vs Bats/Zaha (433).

        • Stone Frog says:

          I’m not inclind to 532 but if I did I could do:
          Edenson
          Rudiger Smalling Luiz Wan-B Sclupp;
          Pogba Sterling Hazard;
          Kun Kane;
          (Hamer Stephen Romeu Conolly)

        • Zed Leppelin says:

          Elle, it would look something like this, don’t like the defense at all to be honest…

        • Zed Leppelin says:

          Stone Frog you have a lot better TV than I have, with such a TV I like it a lot, unlike me who has a horrendous defense with those 5 attackers, you’d actually have a decent defense! It makes a huge difference to have Smalling instead of Lindelöf who’s wife is about to give birth and a City defender in there as well, instead of Dunk smile

        • Stone Frog says:

          True Zed with lower TV it’s tempting to not play Kane.Something like Bats with Laporte Smalling Rudiger Luiz and Sclupp.
