Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW9

Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW9. It feels like GW8 was a lifetime ago, I had to look up the results as, to be honest, I’d completely forgot who won what. It’s fair to say I’ve enjoyed the International Break, this weekend past was the first one in weeks where my mood wasn’t dependent on a series of events that I have no control over. International breaks? I love them, can we have one every other week? I may be on my own here though…

My need for some time away from FPL and football in general was largely in part down to Man Utd’s last-gasp winner against my lot; too much drama for my liking. Similar drama unfolded over at Harry and Lloyd towers. With Perun86 and SomH3i both finishing level with 15 points, it was over to the tiebreaker to decide this weeks winner. Perun86 was ultimately victorious;  his 37th-minute prediction closest to Glenn Murray’s 25th-minute opener, it was a case of close but no cigar for SomH3i and his 44th-minute prediction. Mosc1938 took the bronze with 13 points. A lot of people had Glenn Murray as first goalscorer this week, so well done to those who did!

Congrats to Perun86 on his win, please email us at contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize.

The GW9 Competition –
Scoring couldn’t be simpler:

Correct Score = 3 points
Correct result = 1 point
Correct First Goal scorer of the game-week = 5pts

(Points are awarded on an ‘either or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a Correct Score or 1 point for a Correct Result, these are never added together for a 4 point score.)

Tie-Breaker
In the event that two or more members are tied as winners for the week the overall winner of the t-shirt will be decided by a tie-breaker.

In order to do this we ask that you also post your prediction of the time that the first goal of the week will be scored at. Nearest the pin wins.

The Rules…
They are few; 1 entry per person, and all entries must be submitted prior to the first game of the game-week. Kick-off this week comes on Saturday at 12:30. Once all the games have been played, we’ll count up the scores and the winner(s) will be announced in the following weeks competition article and each week our winner will walk away with a FF247 branded t-shirt! We also have an overall league table which we’ll update on a monthly basis (next update in our GW11 article).

So just to recap all you need to do is;

– Copy and paste the fixtures from below and pop your score prediction on each.
– Tell us who you think will be the first goal scorer of the week (and that can be from any game regardless of your other predictions)
– Add in your time of the first goal of the week for any potential tie-breaker situation.

Here are the fixtures, best of luck to you all!

Deadline is: 20th October 11.30am

Chelsea vs Man Utd
Bournemouth vs Southampton
Cardiff vs Fulham
Man City vs Burnley
Newcastle vs Brighton
West Ham vs Spurs
