Our games this week come from the FA Cup fourth round, with a few from League 1, and we’ve drawn up our own list of selections for Round 25 to give you a helping hand, have a read below.

Huddersfield V Birmingham
David Wagner’s punchy overachievers have looked bereft of ideas of late and he might well take this as an opportunity to rest some of his small and weary band of first team players.

Birmingham City, for their part, haven’t been having the smoothest of runs in the second tier and Steve Cotterill will hope a morale-boosting win can give his players a bit of lift as the season moves into its final stages.

It’s hard to know what to expect from this pairing, so we’re going with a draw.

DRAW

Hull V Nottingham Forest
The Tigers have struggled to readjust to life in the Championship somewhat and have a battle on their hands just to stay in it this season.

Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, look comfortable under Aitor Karanka and you feel they might be more interested in earning themselves the chance to show off some of their pricey purchases during a cup run.

We’re going with an away win.

AWAY WIN

MK Dons V Coventry
League One strugglers Milton Keynes Dons host upwardly mobile League Two outfit Coventry.

We’re sticking with the side with the strongest recent form on the book.

AWAY WIN

Middlesbrough V Brighton
Tony Pulis has quickly put his stamp on his new side Middlesbrough and they’ll be difficult opponents for Brighton, who took a stuffing from Chelsea in the league last time out.

Again, this one’s tricky. We’re going for a low-scoring affair that ends all square.

DRAW

Sheffield Utd V Preston
Sheffield United’s progress in recent seasons has been marked and, with home advantage, they can account for a Preston North End side who you’d fancy them to just shade in any case.

We’re predicting a lot of happy faces leaving Bramall Lane after this one.

HOME WIN

Southampton V Watford
Southampton’s fans have been served up some shockingly dull fare so far this season and their side is bang in trouble near the foot of the Premier League table. Back in FA Cup action this week after earning a draw against Tottenham last time, they at least have something to build from.

Watford, meanwhile, will have been adjusting to life without Marco Silva this week after the Portuguese was relieved of his duties and replaced by Javi Gracia.

Their levels of performances have varied wildly this season but they still have talent in their ranks. With the traditional new manager bounce forthcoming, we’re siding with them to grind out a win.

AWAY WIN

Wigan V West Ham
Wigan Athletic have been League One’s standout team this campaign and top the table by five points. That gives Paul Cook’s side a bit of scope for focusing on the cup and they could put it up to their Premier League visitors. They tend to keep things tight at the back at home and haven’t conceded at the DW Stadium in their last four games there.

David Moyes’ West Ham made hard work of getting by Shrewsbury Town in the last round, looking wholly unimpressive before a late Reece Burke goal bailed them out deep into extra time in their third round replay.

The home side should be up to giving the visitors a stern examination and we’re siding with them to gain a famous fourth round scalp.

HOME WIN

Blackpool V Charlton
Blackpool have been putrid of late and it’s not likely to get better when Charlton come to Bloomfield Road. They away side can coast to a win and into the fifth round.

AWAY WIN

Gillingham V Fleetwood
An all-League One tie here at Priestfield stadium.

The home side sit just one place above the visitors and so the pair are closely matched.

Fleetwood were unimpressive when scraping by non-league Chorley earlier in the competition visit a side on an upswing in Gillingham. We fancy The Gills to narrowly come out on top.

HOME WIN

Southend V Scunthorpe
Southend have just appointed Chris Powell as manager having relieved Phil Brown of his duties. They take on a nominally better side in Scunthorpe United but, again, we think the new manager bounce can come into play. We reckon the home side can nab a draw against their better-fancied visitors.

DRAW

Tiebreaker
Our tiebreaker question this week is: how many goals will be scored across the ten games? We’re taking a stab in the dark at 28.

So, they’re our picks. What’re yours? Get playing to be in with a chance of scooping the prize money this week!

HL…. Just for you mate 😉

Seriously though, there’s money to be won here. Like big money, for nowt. May as well give it a stab. Apparently nobody has won it this season and yet it seems so easy! Not even correct scores – just correct results.

Give it a go folks. You are supporting FF247 in the process too, just by playing for free. Go figure! smile
