The Sportsman’s Perfect 10 Competition – Win £10k! GW31
Following the success of our first ever Perfect 10 winner Adrian Bolger, who bagged the 10K jackpot earlier this month, we’re on the hunt for another victor this weekend.
If you’ve played before then you know the drill, but if you’re new to the game then where on earth have you been hiding?
It’s ever so simple, all you need to do is follow this link and guess 10 results from Saturday’s scheduled 3pm games – if you get them all right you’ll bag yourself a tasty 10K!
This week’s round features clashes from the Premier League, Championship and League One. We’ve had our say on the selections below, so now it’s your turn. Best of Luck!
Huddersfield v Crystal Palace
Relegation rivals Huddersfield and Crystal Palace clash at the John Smith’s Stadium in a crunch six-pointer. With eight games to go the Terriers, 15th, sit four points above the relegation zone and Palace, 18th, who have been dragged back into the bottom three following a wretched run of form, during which they’ve notched only two points from their last seven games.
Meanwhile, Huddersfield have enjoyed a decent pocket of form, bagging wins against Bournemouth and West Brom, plus a draw against Swansea in their last four games. Five of the club’s eight league wins have come on home soil and we’re backing David Wagner’s men to grab the spoils over struggling Palace.
HOME WIN
Stoke v Everton
Stoke are void of confidence and form down in 19th in the table. The Potters have only recorded one win since boss Paul Lambert took over two months ago, with that sole victory over Huddersfield the club’s only triumph of any sort since Christmas.
On Saturday Stoke welcome Everton to the Britannia. Everton boss Sam Allardyce has come under pressure of late following a mixed run of form, with the club losing their last six away games on the spin. While we don’t think the Toffees will suffer a seventh successive defeat on the road, we don’t think they’ll end that sorry streak with a win either.
DRAW
Birmingham v Hull
New Birmingham boss Garry Monk will be hoping it’s third time lucky this weekend following defeats in his opening two games in charge. There were improvements in a 3-2 defeat at high-flying Cardiff, but on the whole the club’s form has been horrific as they head into Saturday’s match on the back of eight consecutive league and cup defeats.
Hull were previously battling it out with the Blues, but their survival hopes have been significantly boosted following back-to-back wins over Norwich and Ipswich. The Tigers are roaring at the moment as they look to register a third win on the spin for the first time since August 2016.
AWAY WIN
Brentford v Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough are firing under Tony Pulis as they bid to orchestrate an instant return to the Premier League. 6th-placed Boro are currently enjoying a three game winning run, while they’ve accumulated 13 points from their last five matches.
Meanwhile, consecutive defeats have taken the wind out of Brentford’s play-off hopes, with the club now eight points adrift of Boro, who we’re tipping to return to the North East clutching a prized three points.
AWAY WIN
Blackpool v Southend
Both teams are likely to miss out on the League One play-offs this season, but you never know, a win on Saturday would keep their faint hopes alive. Only league leaders Blackburn have got the better of Blackpool in their last seven games, but the Seasiders will face a tough task against a stubborn Southend side who are unbeaten on the road under Chris Powell.

MK Dons v Bury
It took a while, nine games to be precise, but MK Dons boss Dan Micciche finally bagged his first win last weekend, just under two months after taking charge of the club. The victory was a surprise 3-2 win over Rotherham, which narrowed the gap between the Dons and safety to four points.
Micciche now turns his attention to rock-bottom Bury, who are one of only two clubs that sit below his troops in the table. The Shakers lost on their last outing but their form on the whole is decent, having only suffered the one defeat in eight games before Tuesday’s heartbreaking last-gasp defeat to Peterborough.
It’s going to be tight, it’s going to be tense, and it’s going to end all even.

Oldham v Portsmouth
Two teams in contrasting form clash in Greater Manchester this weekend as Oldham host Portsmouth at Boundary Park.
From mid-December through to the end of January Oldham failed to win any of their nine league games, however since February they’ve recorded 11 points from five unbeaten games.
Opponents Portsmouth have only collected two wins from 12 league and cup games, losing four of the last five, and are likely to find life tough against a resurgent Oldham.
HOME WIN
Oxford v Peterborough
Earlier this week Oxford’s search for a new manager passed the 50 day mark, and it’s fair to say that the uncertainty surrounding their future boss has had a negative effect on their performances. The Yellows have one point in five matches, and in truth are likely to trouble a resurgent Peterborough under Steve Evans who will look to bolster their promotion homes with a win at the Kassam.
AWAY WIN
Plymouth v Bristol Rovers
Plymouth’s stunning six game winning run came to an end last Saturday, but they still avoided defeat, with a hard-fought draw away to Fleetwood. However, the Green Army will now be gunning to return to winning ways as they look to break back into the top-6.
Standing in their way this weekend is Bristol Rovers, two places and three points behind them in the table. Rovers are difficult to beat, having suffered just the two defeats since Christmas, and with this in mind we fancy Darrell Clarke’s men to return home with an extra point to their name.
DRAW
Scunthorpe v Shrewsbury
The three-team fight for the two League One automatic promotion spots is proving to be an engrossing contest between Blackburn, Wigan and Shrewsbury. It’s the Shrews who are currently missing out, but Paul Hurst’s men will fancy their chances of carving out a third straight win away to 5th-placed Scunthorpe whose own place in the top-6 doesn’t look so secure following a run of six games without a win.
