Patience is a virtue Ivan! smile
Good on you and I hope he can keep on giving!v

      • AJW, it has been a kind of weird FPL seson so far. Different players sims to do well at some point and then go quiet. Usually around this stage people go for the WC but I find it still so uncertain and could postpone.

        • AJW says:

You might be right Ivan. At least you have a couple of weeks to think about it.
          Good luck! smile

Yes its all about getting the timing right. Not easy this season with so many different options and can’t squeeze everyone. Hard decisions have to be made. Sometimes they pay off very well and sometimes it goes all wrong. There is no real template this season.. it keeps changing every week. Haaland was essential, then nkunku, diaz, palmer, gabriel etc. now none seem essential, now probably saka and mbuemo and brennan johnson.. only for it to change next week after they’ll inevitably blank next gw

Lucky you still having a WC.
I could do with 4 transfers and only have 1 lol.
No Saka has bitten me in the arse this week and not sure if I should bring him in?
Really want to do Semenyo to McNeil and Jackson to Delap.

        • AJW says:

Hey Bees – as they say, ‘the grass is always greener on the other side’! I have Saka, but would dearly love Palmer too! Don’t really want to lose my Pool assets (TAA + Diaz) , but will probs have to at some stage seeing the comparative fixtures. Dunno if this tergiversation helps Ivan’s decision-making, but heck, it’s out there now! Hope everyone is ok. Curiously I’ve found myself with 3 FT! Unheard of in the recent past, where I’ve been a trade addict! Must be getting more reasonable with age! 😉

        • Bees, apart from next week Arsenal have three tough fixtures to follow. I have 2 FT and 1.5 ITB. I might try to leave the WC for the next IB when in GW 12 we have another fixtures swing for Chelsea, Arsenal, Villa etc. Until then, Everton, Spurs and Leicester could do well, but so far, easy fixtures on paper have been misleading.

        • bees393 says:

2 FT Ivan…it’s like a mini WC with 1 hit. Way to go!
AJW…looks like Saka may be injured, so maybe I won’t have to worry about him!

        • AJW says:

Okay Bees – bad news for Saka, or just a knock? Damn it, decisions to be made with 3 FTs on my side!
We’ll see what eventuates – still a week to go on IB, and so much water to flow under those bridges! 😉

G’day all. I’ve activated my wildcard. Feel I could have waited one more week but what’s done is done.

My before and after. What do we think? I would like to get a Forrest defender in just really like their defending and feel there are some cs coming but no idea how. Maybe Pickford but his fixtures are so nice and they look a lot better at the back. Will get raya back in after about 4 game weeks so Forrest keeper could be a punt.

G’day there matie. How’s the Sunny Coast? Isn’t it magpie season at the moment? Maybe you don’t get any so close to the beaches? (I grew up in central NSW – plenty out there!).
Anyway, yep, I like your team, with the wee Wolves option tucked away there for upcoming fixtures (who knows, they might even surprise City!). Only thing that’s missing is a bit more Arsenal, but you’ve got to make compromises I know. Good luck! smile

        • makeya says:

G’day g’day! I’m actually in Sydney now, magpie season well and truely on the swoop here even with the beaches around!

Cheers! Jumped off the Arsenal train for a few weeks but will look to get them back in after their tough run. Good luck to you too!

        • AJW says:

Hahaha – getting swooped is definitely not something I am nostalgic for! European maggies are like currawongs – they’re not dangerous at all (despite their black and white colouring!). How’s the weather in Sydney atm?
I’ve decided to keep my 3 Arsenal assets (WC used the other week!) and just weather the storm of the 3 ‘difficult’ fixtures. Don’t really want to lose value on them (Have Havertz, Saka & Gabriel), unless Saka ends up being really injured – but then again they seem to play him whether he’s busted or not!
I like your choice of the 2 Spurs players – was thinking of getting them in myself (can do DCL + Diaz > Solanke + Johnson for free and still have 0.4m ITB!). Anyway, speak to you soon matie and enjoy your time in Sydney (or maybe you live there and were just up the coast for work or hollies?). Bye for now smile

        • makeya says:

Haha always beware of the swoops boys when in down under, no matter the season I reckon haha!! Sydney weather is so hot and cold you’d think you’re in Melbourne I swear. I live in Sydney but born a QLDer so visit gods country quite often especially when we win in the football haha!

Cheers on the spurs, think big Ange (our lord and saviour as an Aussie no matter who you support) will play all out attack no matter what. No arsenal or pool is scary but you can have them all in the end. Take care mate good to chat!

        • AJW says:

Thanks mate. Keep cool and have a good summer (it’s still spring I guess!).
          😉
