FPL Live Match Chat DGW36

FPL Live Match Chat DGW36 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat DGW36 We have 16 games in total this week spanning from Saturday until Thursday with (televised) games on 5 of the next 6 days with only Monday left to take a breather (aka a quick run to the supermarket to replen on crisps and beer, and maybe also say a quick hello to the family, maybe…). We have some strange game times too with Saturday beginning at 3pm and ending up with an 7.45pm’er. Sunday is more normal with the usual raft of 2pm games followed by a tea-time one. Tuesday sees just the one, Wednesday is the busiest midweek affair with four before the NLD sees us out on Thursday. We do then get a slight break as the GW37 deadline is not until Sunday morning. The games in full… Keep track of all the action, the goals, the ta...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 35

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 35 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 35 A normal GW! 10 games, 20 teams, all playing once, begins on a Saturday and ends on a Monday and gives us space to breathe before the following one. Back to the halycon days of normality, although something catastrophic will probably happen before or during it all no doubt to disrupt our false sense of norm. In theory then Newcastle welcome Liverpool for a spanking at lunchtime on Saturday and we then have 4 games at 3pm as Palace go to Saints and Wolves entertain Brighton in two dead rubbers, Watford & Burnley discuss relegation matters, whilst Villa look to seal Norwich’s fate. We reconvene at 5.30pm to resume the title race as Man City go to Leeds. Sunday is sparse but meaningful as Everton face Chelse...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek DGW34

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek DGW34 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek DGW34 What should have been a normal GW is now another protracted one with the addition of a DGW for both Chelsea and Man Utd meaning that we go all the way through until Thursday once more. We begin on Saturday with Arsenal hosting the aforementioned United at 12.30pm before Villa go to Leicester at 3pm along with Man City extending their lead at the top of the league (and probably their goal difference too) against Watford and Newcastle making the long trip to Norwich, for seemingly no good reason. Saturday then ends with Brentford welcoming Spurs at 5.30pm. Sunday sees a buch of 2pm games again with Brighton v Saints, Burnley v Wolves and Chelsea v West Ham. Liverpool will claw City back at 4.30pm, doubtless alon...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 33

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 33 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 33 We arrive at Gameweek 33 and it’s yet another big doubler with no less than 7 teams appearing twice across the next six days. We start shortly with Tottenham hosting a Brighton side fresh from a creditable win in this neck of the North London woods. This would be a big statement from Spurs over Arsenal in the race for fourth if they comfortably take care of Brighton as they did Villa. At 3pm, we have games at Manchester United; who play Norwich, Southampton; who welcome Arsenal and Watford who host Brentford. There is no Saturday evening game in the league as attention turns to Manchester City v Liverpool Part II, this time in the FA Cup semi final, which was supposed to be later but has been brought forward d...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 32

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 32 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 32 Hello, what’s this I see? A normal game week! It feels like we’ve waited forever for one of these, so let’s enjoy the DGW respite as we have another on the way next week! We open up the week with a trip to St James’ park, Newcastle host the Wolves and after 3 away defeats on the bounce, the Toon Army will be hoping that home comforts will help put the Magpies back on the right track with 3 points. We then move to Saturday where we have 5 fixtures kicking off at lunchtime as the beleaguered Toffee’s host ‘United’. It’s now 4 defeats in 5 for Franks’s men and if they don’t start picking up points soon it could be curtains for the blue half of Liverpool. In th...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 31

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 31 Welcome all to a nice normal gameweek. Sort of. We have every team playing once with just the one DGW fixture bolted onto the end of it. We also have a textbook weekend format as well! Lunchtime and tea-time games on Saturday with a lovely spread of 3pm games in-between, then two back to back clashes on Sunday, all rounded off with some Monday Night Football. Pure poetry. And then of course Burnley v Everton on Wednesday, if anyone can be bothered. Liverpool play Watford with Salah looking forward to taking his World Cup frustration out on the Hornets at 12.30pm. Before Brighton tackle Norwich, Burnley versus Manchester City, Chelsea v near neighbours Brentford, Leeds home to Southampton and Villa going to Wolves in a Midlands derby all at 3pm. Saturday nigh...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 30 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 30 It’s all or nothing in FPL these days and we go straight from some of the longest ever GW’s to one of the shortest this time, or at least the most bereft, as there are just 4 games in this one. They are at least spread over 3 days to give some illusion of an actual FPL weekend. We begin on Friday with Wolves hosting Leeds at 8pm. There is just the one again on Saturday and it will be over by the time a good few of you even wake up as Arsenal go to Vilaa at 12.30pm. Sunday is the bumper offering with all of 2 games! Leicester welcome Brentford at 2pm before West Ham go to Spurs at 4.30pm. And that’s that. We then have an International Break which means that GW31 is not until April 2nd. As we say, it...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 25

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 25 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 25 Where have you been all of our lives Friday… Yep, we’re back in action already and in theory it’s for a ‘mini DGW’, although we’ll probably judge whether it was worthy of the name after it as the way Man Utd have been playing we’ve seen people actually questioning whether to keep their players in for it never mind buy any more! The aforementioned bookend our week as they kick us off on Saturday lunchtime and then see us out on Tuesday evening. In between that we have eight other games; three on Saturday at 3pm before Man City thrash Norwich in the evening, then three on Sunday at 2pm with Leicester and West Ham in the later one. Chelsea and Arsenal sit this one out as the former are still away playing the World Cup ...[Read More]
