Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 10

Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 10

We have a bit of a strange GW on our hands here as there are a lot of games that either look very predictable in their outcome or you simply look at and go… ‘meh’.

Leicester and Arsenal set us on our way on Saturday lunchtime and if we tell you that this looks like one of the more enticing games then you’ll know what is to come.

If nothing else our old mate Jeff @ Sky will be cock-a-hoop to see no less than 5 games in his slot at 3pm on Saturday. Two games could be close, but ultimately also dire affairs, in Burnley v Brentord and Watford v Saints with the other three looking fairly one sided for Man City (v Palace), Liverpool (v Brighton) and Chelsea (v Newcastle).

The main entertainment of the weekend will possibly come from the evening game but in all honesty the main winner will probably be schadenfreude as Spurs host Ole.

Things do take a nose-dive from here on in but at least there should be some fantasy interest on Sunday in the form of either Leeds (@Norwich 2pm) or West Ham (@ Villa 4.30pm).

The GW fizzles out on Monday with Everton going to Wolves.

Enjoy!

The games in full…

    Evening all,
Any ideas what to do here? Open to all suggestions, the plan has always been Havertz >> Son in GW12 but I still have 3.9 to spend this week.
I could do something like Manquillo >> TAA, or Raphinha >> ESR allows me to do Antonio >> Ronaldo – Antonio has tough fixtures and Ronaldo has great fixtures throughout the Christmas period, and I feel bringing him in early after everyone ditched him could help me climb ranks

Evening all. Hope we’re all having a decent GW?

I’m contemplating a really early and potentially crazy move, and I’d appreciate some guidance if I may.

I’d really like to get CR7 after the IB. Vardy is the obvious forward to move on, but I still need another 0.7 from somewhere. At current prices I can afford Toney to Hwang. My problem is that Hwang is looking set to rise, possibly as soon as tonight, which would screw this plan.

Would you support the idea of Toney to Hwang now, to enable a Vardy to CR7 move after the next GW? It seems a shame to ditch Toney before Norwich, but can’t see any better enablers.

    Thanks!

Banjo, it’s a sound plan. I am also eyeing CR7 for Vardy and in my case will be demoting Antonio or Jimi, depending on the outcome tomorrow night.
That said, I would strongly advice you to hold for now. We have a long week ahead with many European games and with the wintry weather around nobody can predict what other issues we might end up by Friday.

Thanks Ivan. After your first couple of sentences I was leaning towards pressing the button, then I read on laugh

If I wait then it’d mean Townsend to 4.5 fodder or downgrading TAA instead.

Oh and if I were you, irrespective of tomorrow night, I’d keep Antonio. He was involved in a lot today and West Ham look a lot better than Wolves.

        • I’m still hoping for some Jimi revival but…… mda
Anyhow, price fluctuations fears never help. Burnt myself a few times in the past. You jump early for the sake of -/+ 0.1 and later turns into a false economy after another players gets crocked before deadline.

How much do you want Walker?

Walker to Liva gets nice cash

I’d appreciate some advice here. I’ve got 1FT and 1.0itb. Unlike last week where I had a firework display of injuries, this week I can’t see any immediate problems. But, cappo choice and bench is troubling me.

I’d play ESR over Hwang. As for captain choose, I’m traumatised by picking Havertz over Salah’s 24 points so I would not be brave enough to do it, it could pay dividends though

A lot of us will have benching headaches this week. I think I’d swap Hwang with Smith Rowe. I can’t decide between the very consistent Livramento or Mbeumo – will ponder that one over the week. I guess Mbeumo has a higher ceiling.

I suppose you will be tossing a coin between Havertz and Salah for the captaincy; I’ll be leaving it on the latter for the foreseeable.

In terms of transfers I’d be inclined to roll it this week.

Hi Guys, appreciate some advice here. I’ve got 2Ft and 0.2itb.

Looking to use 1 transfer so will have 2 for the international.
Shud i downgrade cancelo or upgrade my bench?
Not really sure what to do. starting formation seems fine

      Kralin says:

I’d look to downgrade your bench. Just the cheapest possible who are playing. I’d keep Cancelo for now. City may annihilate United in the Liverpool manner plus they won’t finish any lower than third this season.

Having 2FTs going into the international break is a good idea. I like your side – slightly different from the norm.

I guess after the Norwich game you may want to review the surfeit of Brentford players you have.

      • calum says:

like the advise. many will say upgrade bench.
u r quite right since 3rd bench will not be used and i got a ft to burn. downgrade is not a bad choice.
shall kiv the thought after the mid week euros

        Thanks

What should i do with azpi? He hasnt played for two games, But if he’s fit now that might change. James seems to be on a roll and is a bit cheaper too. Is it worth it to do azpi to James? That money might come in handy later… got 1ft and 0,1 itb…
