Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 10

Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 10

We have a bit of a strange GW on our hands here as there are a lot of games that either look very predictable in their outcome or you simply look at and go… ‘meh’.

Leicester and Arsenal set us on our way on Saturday lunchtime and if we tell you that this looks like one of the more enticing games then you’ll know what is to come.

If nothing else our old mate Jeff @ Sky will be cock-a-hoop to see no less than 5 games in his slot at 3pm on Saturday. Two games could be close, but ultimately also dire affairs, in Burnley v Brentord and Watford v Saints with the other three looking fairly one sided for Man City (v Palace), Liverpool (v Brighton) and Chelsea (v Newcastle).

The main entertainment of the weekend will possibly come from the evening game but in all honesty the main winner will probably be schadenfreude as Spurs host Ole.

Things do take a nose-dive from here on in but at least there should be some fantasy interest on Sunday in the form of either Leeds (@Norwich 2pm) or West Ham (@ Villa 4.30pm).

The GW fizzles out on Monday with Everton going to Wolves.

Enjoy!

The games in full…

  1. Brought in Son…Spurs do not look good. Who other than Salah is a good midfield buy?
Who are the good Forwards? unknw

    • no premium mids except salah worth the cash.
if u got son might as well hold him few games as they have good fixtures

  2. Spurs are bad, real bad,no creativity whatsoever. In fact I’d go as far as to say they look clueless !

  3. If Palace can beat City at the Etihad, I recon United will destroy them at the Old Trafford.
Ronaldo and Bruno to be back in fashion, apart from the trip to Stamford Bridge the fixtures are great until mid January.

    • Far too optimistic Ivan.
United wasn’t bad today but Spurs were awful. As a united fan, I’ll be happy with a draw.

    • i am getting in ronaldo after the IB. Fixtures too good except the CHE game like u mentioned.
this win will give manu confidence

  4. Bought in Reece James this week for a hit…payed off lovely,
Also while all around me were selling, held my nerve and kept Ronaldo,
You just can’t write off the best player ever to grace a football pitch cool

    • yes true. I sold him earlier not bcoz of him but bcoz manu were in terrible form with tough fixtures.
have enough funds now to upgrade vardy to him after manchester derby and when manu fxtures turn.

well done on james. i have chilly and rudy

  5. Noticed in the regulars league that GP took a 24 point hit,and now it shows a deleted player alongside his opponent. All ok ??

    • I had noticed that too. Don’t know what happened.

    • I spoke with him last week and I’m only replying as he said it was no secret, he’s taking a bit of a break. This was before he deleted his team but I can only assume he decided to make a clean break. Hopefully he’ll be back at some point.

    • Kruz and LRL (and Rosco)

Thanks for your concern (if it is that). I’m still here and will be for the duration.

I’m just taking a break from FPL for a bit It’s been on the cards for a while as I’ve not been enjoying playing since lockdown first happened. Not a huff as I’ve had bad spells in the past but this feels different. Almost like a complete apathy to the game.

The -24 can be explained as just a wildcard without the chip – I didn’t like my squad and had a half feeling I would stop soon anyway but hoped it might kick start me but even during the games today I wasn’t logged in to check my score and went out with the dog for hours!

I still know my football (I’m a geek of course) so I’ll be offering my opinions on the games and of course cheering everyone on here as my friends.

I’m also still admin and contributing to Site Team (IF they still want me) shock

      • GP, this is totally understandable. Many of us have been on that edge at many times. A short break can be very useful and a sign for a fresh restart.
Sincerely hope we’ll see you back in full force very soon!!

      • Totally understandable GP. Almost same here, specially after last game week when I took a punt on captaining havertz over Salah. That took me straight from 35k to 450k. But, you know, still have something left, and I’ll try to get more engaged here.
Hope you the best. Your work and advise in this forum is much appreciated.

        • Hey GP. Respect your decision. You’ve gotta do what’s right for you. Glad to have just your experience and expertise still though, as you are a very astute judge of the game. All the best old mate. AJW. smile

        • Lovely words there. MHD, AJW and LRL (EVERYONE IS LETTERS!)

I’m still here. Love football and will offer my opinions on it and I’ll try to help out on FPL with perhaps a more objective angle now. Still here and working on the site. You want shot of me, you need to try harder heart

      • I was concerned GP. Good to know you are well. Sometimes one needs to take a break from a hobby. Wish you the best!

      • Take the break GP. Enjoy the football without the necessary pressure of FPL attached to it. Do something else you enjoy and come back when you are ready and think you will enjoy FPL again. There’s stuff that is way more important in life than FPL

        • Thanks Smash.

I’m doing plenty I enjoy now including kids coaching. That takes your mind off FPL! 24 7-year-olds among 4 coaches three times a week. shock

        • Hey GP – I bet you’ve got an eye on the Scottish premiership though! Just copping a sneaky look at the Rangers match vs Motherwell. Sakala looks so hungry and has just got his hattie! Glad I captained…Tav!!! Is Fashion worth a look? I’ve got the usual Ramirez, Watt, and Boycie! Cheers mate! 😉

        • Nothing wrong with Ramirez, Watt and Boyce.

Sakala will always be competing with Morelos, Roofe and Kent when he returns.

          ALWAYS captain Tav.

        • Wise words from the Caledonian Cowboy! Thanks for the ‘gee up’ GP. Was looking like a pretty dire week until Tav contributed about 60% of my team’s points! Loving it this year and in about 800-900th spot despite some really stupid points wasting. Dunno how many teams there are in total but I feel good about it. Bless you my lad! smile

        • Great rank AJW.

You know Scottish Football better than me boy!

  6. Saw this on twitter, made me chuckle, probably cos I own him smile

    • Imagine being there and owning him … like I was!! rofl

      • Ha ha mixed emotions I bet.Well if you had to lose you may as well get some fantasy points out of it ! smile
