Euro 2016 Fantasy Football Live Match Chat – The Knockout Phase
Just as the UK votes on a possible Brexit, the group stages at Euro 2016 have been completed with some unfortunates already on their way home, while all the Home Nations secured to Remain for a while longer as England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland all qualified for the round of 16. You will notice a few changes to the fantasy game, so please allow us to run you through them so you are fully up-to-speed.
Price changes – some players price has increased, but only by a minimal amount it would appear. For example Dimitri Payet’s price has risen from 8.0mln to 8.1mln!! So, nothing to get too worried about.
As a result, your budget has increased by 5mln to 105mln, which not only reflects the price changes but also the fact that most of the smaller teams and cheaper players are no longer available due to them being knocked out, hence there are less budget options available.
Transfers – for this round you have an unlimited amount of transfers. For the quarter-finals you will have 4 free transfers, for the semi-finals you will have 6 free transfers and for the final you will have 6 free transfers.
Team personnel – you can now select four players from a single team for the round of 16, followed by five players for the quarter-finals, six for the semi-finals and eight for the final.

Hi silvers, it’s not over yet mate. We both have Alli and Gia to play today but you also have Dier. Granted one of mine will be my capo whereas you’ll probably keep KDB’s 12 pts, but still very wide open mate. Best of luck…not too much though!
Yeah, I thought that was a KdB assist too but assists are not given to a player who creates his own goalscoring opportunity (e.g. solo run/dribble) which is basically what Hazard did. Great goal btw, there’s a man in form.
Morning everyone, should be getting out of the hospital today so will be able to do these remaining rounds properly!! Sadly the Irish are gone but they can hold their heads high and atleast the English have a go to stay later.
Should I play Hart over Fabianski or leave it? Also who would you captain Alba, Walker or Hart? Taking the captaincy of Muller

Matt – good to see you’re fully recovered mate. Just in time to start tinkering for FPL! Game opens on the 1st of July apparently.
Regarding the euros, I had the same decision about the keepers, but I had Neuer coming in. Took a gamble and it’s earned me two more points.
England has looked relatively solid at the back, bar that odd Russian goal, and Iceland are very poor going forward so maybe gamble on it too? I would if it helps.
On the capo front, that’s a though one of course but looking at CS potential solely I’d go for Walker. If you fancy Spain to beat Italy, which I don’t, then Alba may be your man, especially on the attacking front. Toss a coin really…

I disagree with Silvers here in that taking a GK out who has a CS is pushing it a bit. Hart will probably only match his points as surely Iceland won’t be troubling him too much.
Yeah Walker as captain probably and hope for a little assist to go with a CS.

I would prefer to see Alli confirmed in England’s line up before answering that question. Given that we can’t have that, I’d go Morata. I’m going Alli probably though but that’s because the alternative is Giaccherini and while I see Italy keeping Spain at bay I wouldn’t be totally surprised if Spain scored. And if they do, morata will probably be involved whilst Gia scoring another is probably a long shot. Tough call nonetheless of course.

Well it seems he’s not now Cookie, having just read on BBC that Studge, Kane and Sterling (aarrrgh!) are set to start. Not impressed with the Sterling decision from Woy.
Well, 2 pts are 2 pts but surely Vardy will be at least utilized during the match? So, only 1 pt and who knows he might even do something. These Icelanders are though to break so I’d expect England to go all out at some point. Even if you score early he should come in to freshen up in attack. Also, you wouldn’t sleep well if he did something and you had him rotting on your bench instead of a 2 pointer…
Long story short, I’d get him in.
