Euro 2016 Fantasy Football Live Match Chat – The Knockout Phase
Just as the UK votes on a possible Brexit, the group stages at Euro 2016 have been completed with some unfortunates already on their way home, while all the Home Nations secured to Remain for a while longer as England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland all qualified for the round of 16. You will notice a few changes to the fantasy game, so please allow us to run you through them so you are fully up-to-speed.
Price changes – some players price has increased, but only by a minimal amount it would appear. For example Dimitri Payet’s price has risen from 8.0mln to 8.1mln!! So, nothing to get too worried about.
As a result, your budget has increased by 5mln to 105mln, which not only reflects the price changes but also the fact that most of the smaller teams and cheaper players are no longer available due to them being knocked out, hence there are less budget options available.
Transfers – for this round you have an unlimited amount of transfers. For the quarter-finals you will have 4 free transfers, for the semi-finals you will have 6 free transfers and for the final you will have 6 free transfers.
Team personnel – you can now select four players from a single team for the round of 16, followed by five players for the quarter-finals, six for the semi-finals and eight for the final.

Morning all I thk I have settled on this team but any suggestions welcome
GK France & Belgium only because I thk they have the easier games but who knows.
Def Italy , Germany , Poland , Belgium France this means I will have at least 1 def going though & 1 out as above with Bel & France & another most will go with a Portugal def I have two Portugal & two Poland players so at least two will go though.
Mid Poland , Belgium , France , Portugal Germany one of these has to go though again Bel , Poland , Portugal & France reasons above & Draxler has hit a bit of form.
Do I change Payet to Pogba he has hit a bit of form
Fwd Ron I have to have now , Griezmann has hit form & has the easier fixture. Pelle is my gamble every thing seems to go though him & I can’t afford Bale.
I think worst case I will have two though from Port & Pol , three from Bel say two from Italy & 4 from France should have 11 but can’t be worse than 7 with 6 transfers.

Personally I’d keep Payet, Silvers. Though I admit I didn’t see the game on Sunday vs Ireland, so don’t really know which of the two played better, looked more dangerous.
Points so far suggest Payet is a no-brainer.
Watching the game I was wondering what all the fuss surrounding Pogba is all about!

Morning Silvers, This Is brilliant mate you have a great team here and nearly all the best players. My only question is does Renato Sanchez start? All the games I’ve watched he always seems to come off the bench. Rest of the team is amazing though.
I don’t think he will Matt. When he comes on we normally change from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 and he will not do that from the off. The alternatives are i) he plays on the left of the said 4-4-2 (something the coach has said to not be keen at given is inexperience) or ii) he plays as one of the central mids in that 4-4-2 (which seems unlikely with Adrien’s form and Moutinho being now in contention to start). That being said, it could work as a sneaky punt coming from the bench. It will be a tight game though so that would be a killer punt really, if it worked out. Silvers has him since the beginning I think, and he is cheap, so maybe he’s there as an enabler…
Right atleast now I know. I thought as much because when I’ve watched him he seems a little selfish too me but he’s still a great player maybe that’s just youth wanting to score and prove something. Cheers DMC.

All make sense pal. I was just having another look at your team and trying to keep the teams you have: I was thinking you could downgrade Glik and KDB to Hazard and either Pazdan or that Jerzy bloke. That should give you a Mil to upgrade Sanchez if you want, I don’t even know if that will be enough just a thought.

I also understand that 75 percent of the 18-25 years voted to stay in Europe and that only 30 percent of the younger people voted, whereas 72 percent of the people that could vote, voted.
I just think it’s bad for Europe and I fear a domino effect. Since I work with refugees, it boils my blood. They are in my heart.

Raz, I agree, I think it’s horrendous for Europe. I think the immigration crisis is a desperate, desperate situation and I know that you are closer to it than most if not all of us. I’d add to that, that in my view there isn’t an easy answer to the issue.
Anyway, I don’t really want to get into more on here – it’s an emotive issue that is splitting families, offices and communities and selfishly, I don’t want it to split us on here – after all, hardly any of us have met each other and have come together to chat about footy on the whole and as such, we never really know what people’s views are.
