Euro 2016 Fantasy Football Live Match Chat – The Knockout Phase
Just as the UK votes on a possible Brexit, the group stages at Euro 2016 have been completed with some unfortunates already on their way home, while all the Home Nations secured to Remain for a while longer as England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland all qualified for the round of 16. You will notice a few changes to the fantasy game, so please allow us to run you through them so you are fully up-to-speed.
Price changes – some players price has increased, but only by a minimal amount it would appear. For example Dimitri Payet’s price has risen from 8.0mln to 8.1mln!! So, nothing to get too worried about.
As a result, your budget has increased by 5mln to 105mln, which not only reflects the price changes but also the fact that most of the smaller teams and cheaper players are no longer available due to them being knocked out, hence there are less budget options available.
Transfers – for this round you have an unlimited amount of transfers. For the quarter-finals you will have 4 free transfers, for the semi-finals you will have 6 free transfers and for the final you will have 6 free transfers.
Team personnel – you can now select four players from a single team for the round of 16, followed by five players for the quarter-finals, six for the semi-finals and eight for the final.

Haven’t heard anything official and the Portuguese newspapers have no such indication, including the “Abola” one, quoted by Jan Hagen there. Is he basing this on yesterday’s news?
One of the Portuguese journalists following the team and training sessions tipped Guerreiro to start, but the pod for that was published today at 7h36 meaning no decision could have been made yet.
The coach was supposed to take a late decision this morning but if I know him well I don’t think he’ll disclose anything. Line up we need to see here, but alternatives to Guerreiro must be ready of course. And no, Eliseu is not such…

I assume Ciman is in there as an enabler – meaning all you can afford??
That would be the only one I would upgrade if the funds were there to give you another playing option as Meunier has his spot for the Belgians. I think it’s probably best to have fifteen starters to open up as many options as you can but I understand if you can’t afford it or don’t want to downgrade elsewhere to achieve it.

quite happy only having 14 likely starters it’s served me well so far not concentrating too much on subs
I’ve decided to go with this, ideally i would’ve like Haz over KDB and maybe squeezed Greizman in somewhere but i had to use the transfers on players knocked out or suspended….

Have you achieved this without taking any hits yeah? If so, I think it is a very good squad. I would leave it as is and you have the Frenchies lined up if you need them at the end of the weekend.
GP, yeah in the most, on the 2nd GW i took a 4 hit to make 2 changes but i still got a good score from it so it was ok. No other hits taken and i can’t find my wildcard to use it as we spoke about on the page before

GP, Init was saying that it shows up when you go over the free transfers threshold, maybe i’ll look in the semi’s and make wholesale changes

Don’t panic! He’ll be fine. Supposedly 100% now according to his manager but sat out yesterday as a precaution.
