Euro 2016 Fantasy Football Live Match Chat – The Knockout Phase
Just as the UK votes on a possible Brexit, the group stages at Euro 2016 have been completed with some unfortunates already on their way home, while all the Home Nations secured to Remain for a while longer as England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland all qualified for the round of 16. You will notice a few changes to the fantasy game, so please allow us to run you through them so you are fully up-to-speed.
Price changes – some players price has increased, but only by a minimal amount it would appear. For example Dimitri Payet’s price has risen from 8.0mln to 8.1mln!! So, nothing to get too worried about.
As a result, your budget has increased by 5mln to 105mln, which not only reflects the price changes but also the fact that most of the smaller teams and cheaper players are no longer available due to them being knocked out, hence there are less budget options available.
Transfers – for this round you have an unlimited amount of transfers. For the quarter-finals you will have 4 free transfers, for the semi-finals you will have 6 free transfers and for the final you will have 6 free transfers.
Team personnel – you can now select four players from a single team for the round of 16, followed by five players for the quarter-finals, six for the semi-finals and eight for the final.

Nothing to be worried about Hector, I think?
Belgium team news – nothing seemingly new as yet on Hazard – we understand that he returned to training this morning with the manager using the line that he “won’t give any guarantees” that Hazard will start vs Wales.
Meanwhile, Jan Vertonghen is now a doubt for the game following a training ground ankle injury – Thomas Vermaelen is suspended.
Humm, seems vertonghen is in deed out of this game and possibily the tournament. This is a very depleted defense, without kompany, lombaerts, vermaelen and now verthonghen. Denayer, Jordan Lukaku and Meunier all lack experience at this level. Time to get Bale in?
Who the **** is Claude Puel :oogle:
New Saints manager now apparently. Ooookay then.
He was Nice manager last season – generally accepted that they played the best footy in the league. Which admittedly is not that tricky.
Never heard of him myself but I have a lot of respect for how things are run at Southampton going off previous managers/players/youth coming through; I do trust them to continue to get things right..
Only just read they’ve signed Redmond from Norwich could be one to watch next season as a 5th mid option depending on price
Zlatan confirms the world’s worst kept secret – that he will be joining Man Utd.
This seasons FPL will be very interesting now. Having Kun was always a strain on the rest of a team but surely having both now will be impossible. Will be a big decisions throughout!!
Ibra in the EPL, finally. Though he’s old, his finishing is still master. Will be very interesting. Even though I don’t rate the style of play from Mourinho, he knows which players to get.
No Jan Vertonghen for Belgium, this is really good news for Wales. Bale now gets to challenge 2 poor backs.
With Raphael Guerriero highly likely to be out tonight, what are peoples plans? Cedric or just look elsewhere. (Hector, Meunir, Sagna & Giacc are my other defenders)
Probably get one of the other Portugeezers Rambo
