Euro 2016 Fantasy FootballJust as the UK votes on a possible Brexit, the group stages at Euro 2016 have been completed with some unfortunates already on their way home, while all the Home Nations secured to Remain for a while longer as England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland all qualified for the round of 16. You will notice a few changes to the fantasy game, so please allow us to run you through them so you are fully up-to-speed.
Price changes – some players price has increased, but only by a minimal amount it would appear. For example Dimitri Payet’s price has risen from 8.0mln to 8.1mln!! So, nothing to get too worried about.
As a result, your budget has increased by 5mln to 105mln, which not only reflects the price changes but also the fact that most of the smaller teams and cheaper players are no longer available due to them being knocked out, hence there are less budget options available.

Transfers – for this round you have an unlimited amount of transfers. For the quarter-finals you will have 4 free transfers, for the semi-finals you will have 6 free transfers and for the final you will have 6 free transfers.

Team personnel – you can now select four players from a single team for the round of 16, followed by five players for the quarter-finals, six for the semi-finals and eight for the final.

  1. Mornoning all off to Haydock Races today, evening meet but I’ll be there at 3 looking fwd to it. Jess Glynne on after, should be a really good meet.
    Well done to Portugal had Ron as cap & Sanches plus Polish def so 1 gone
    Haven’t gone with any Welsh even though I want them to win ,will go with KDB cap. 😉

      I’m off to Lingfield again next Wednesday, i’ll be hoping for better luck than my last visit.

      Had a sneaky throw on Joey Barton’s newest horse last night but it was a maiden race and was eleventh I think. I’ll keep an eye on it.

      I’m going to Ayr on Sunday for the family day. Haven’t been to the track for a while so looking forward to it.

    • silvers, be wary of Portuguese riders or in deed horses. If there’s any of those, the race could end with a tie!

  2. Afternoon fellas, who do I cap today? Hazard, Ramsey, Bale or do I leave it on Nani?

    • Matt – tough one I’d say. Any capo with decent points now is a good capo. I think one from Haz, KdB, Bale and Payet will produce at least the same as Nani but will anyone score more than 1 goal/assist? If this was a goal from a forward would you think about switching? For instance, had you capoed Lewan, would you switch? Probably not. But in fairness it’s 1 point difference so I’d stick if I’m honest. Good pick that nani one btw! Cheers.

      • Cheers DMC, I was thinking that aswell I’ll probably stick especially since I’m unsure what the result will be today I’m leaning towards a Belgian win but Wales can be unpredictable at times.

    Mandanda! What a signing from Palace!

    • So that transfer is true!! Could be a decent punt if he’s not priced too highly

      • I like to have a keeper for the whole season who will play every match bar injuries and suspensions.

        Looks like Mandanda will be the man for me this season. Read he’s won GK of the year in France a record 4 times or something similar

      • I’ve always liked Mandanda so I’ll definitely be considering him and he’ll probably be one of my GKs if he’s not priced crazily.

      I’m very interested to see how he does. My judgement may be being clouded by Marseille in general largely underachieving during his time there but I always thought the was overrated. Certainly not as good as Lloris anyway but as you say, price dependant he should be a good number one for you.

      Some decent transfer moves now being made.

    • The trouble is he still has the hapless Palace defense in front of him so i doubt he’ll keep a ton of CS

  5. Haz or Bale for cappo dudes? Ideally I would stick it on Haz but given that he may not play the 90 Bale may be a better option. That said if Haz didn’t work out i have two more days with plenty of options?

      • Yeah think I’ll stick with Haz, I wanted KDB but I wanted to spread my players around, Got Kuba instead ….that didn’t work out so well!! annoying as i still have 2.8m sitting in the bank! Never mind had Lewa and Renato last night so a decent few points already on the board!
