Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 18 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 8GW18 is almost live! WAKE UP! No, seriously WAKE UP! You have 15 minutes to get your ass in gear! This is possibly the most missed deadline of the season, for obvious reasons! Anyway, whether you do wake up and find both us and the deadline in time then we hope you had a great Christmas but if you don’t, and wake up mid afternoon in a panic, then we still hope you had a great Christmas, but #FPL commiserations! Boxing Day is unique in that it has all 10 games in one day so it can be a bit hectic but the points all still count the same. Stoke (0 – 0) Man Utd kicks us off at 12.45pm, followed by an ’80’s style’ seven 3pm games and then we ease into the evening with Newcastle hosting Everton at 5.30pm and finish off your Boxing Day football bonanza (aka relaxing in front of the telly with the family, you’re not kidding us!) as Southampton host Arsenal at 7.45pm.

The important news is that the deadline for GW18 is at 11.45am on Saturday 26th December

  1. FFS – 4-0!!! – Bottling cunts!!!

    • I had a bad feeling before today… but fuck this takes the piss.

      • Knew it was going to be a tough game but we’ve just been hammered!!!

  2. What a horrible gw, around 25 pts sitting on the bench, while my hole starting line-up going to earn 33 points at the best laugh not mentioning Cup tie, where my opponent looking to finish with around 80 pts

  3. Ended up on 71 (-4), scraped through to the next round in the cup and I have no idea how the hell I have managed to pull it off!!

Note to self: listen to everyone and stop taking hits!!!

  4. Guys i am going to wildcard, this is my currrent team
    What transfers would you suggest
i am thinking of ali in for barkley
    changees in def and gk?

    • Hi yaco, do you really really need to WC? I mean like REALLY. I think strategically it may be better used near to a DGW, preferably the week prior and then you can use a chip on the DGW itself having set yourself up accordingly.

      • This is the last week for H1 wildcard.

        • Oh sorry my bad, thought it was week 1 of H2 there for some reason! In that case crack on yaco!

    • This is my current draft so would start my recommendations there.

Others I’m considering are Alli, Vardy, Barkley. Smith, Simpson & Bennett are other cheap defenders but not convinced.

      What do you think?

  5. Hi everyone,

FFFix reckons there are a lot of price changes tomorrow night but I actually wouldn’t be surprised if they happen tonight as a lot are 90 per cent plus. On that basis, what do you reckon to Wijnaldum to Ramsey for Arsenal’s excellent two fixtures coming up? Unless you reckon Vardy is a concern with his 75 per cent chsnce of playing? My team is below. I know it might be a bit of a surprise to bring in an Arsenal player after today’s result, but I’m sure it’s just a blip.

    Cheers in advance!

    • Oh, forgot to say that FFFix also reckons Wally will score more than Ramsey over the next five games which is interesting. Was it Newcastle that Wally ripped apart a year or two back, where he got tripped up in the box but still kept going and scored?

      • That’s the one swirly! His hat-trick goal (plus 2 assists) in a 7-3 win at our place… *sighs* good times!

Walcott over Ramsey for me. Sanchez coming back will probably make Walcott a redundant pick but for now he seems the better pick. More potential.

        • Would Sanchez not naturally replace Campbell? Although that was the first time I’d really seen him against City the other night and I must say I was impressed with him, very sharp. Wouldn’t kick Theo out for him though.

        • That’s true init. I’d completely forgotten there that Ramsey’s being played centrally again to fill-in for the Cazorla / Coq absences.

I guess Walcott’s an even better pick for now then! Cazorla won’t be back for a while yet.

        • Ramsey playing more centrally is more efficient in the goalscoring department than him as a winger.

        • Cheers Init and James, will get Wally in. Hope you and yours had a great Christmas by the way smile

    • Sounds good but I’d be tempted to wait another day.

Maybe even find a way to bring in Aguero if Vardy is out.

      • Cheers, matey. Will sit on my hands! Only trouble with Aguero is how expensive he is – worked out I’d have to downgrade Moreno and Redmond to be able to afford him along with Walcott which is fine because they won’t get me anything, it’s just the point hits!

    • Walcott all the way!!

      • Cheers Mitro! Will get him in and hope he does more for me than he did at the start of the season!

        • I’m bringing him in tomorrow! Probably going to captain him as well

        • Over Ozil?

        • If you meant me, Raz, I’ve already got Ozil smile

        • I know mate. If it helps, I’m going for Wally tomorrow. Your team looks steady.

        • Cheers, Raz! Was saying earlier that, hopefully, this’ll be my first rise in the ranking since October 8th! It’s been nine consecutive, long gameweeks of red arrows!

  6. Fpl says Vardy is ill?

    • Zomg, such a lucky goal from Ighalo.

      • Think the keeper would have got it if it wasn’t for Cahill. That’s me consoling myself for Ighalo still not being in my team anyway!

        • Definitely! I thought of your luck earlier actually – a rival in the ML I’m in played Koscielny ahead of Fonte. That decision alone cost him 15 points! Ouch!

        • Cookie, your ‘most boring transfer ever’ did OK for you didn’t he?! Cresswell if I’m not mistaken. Nice one!

        • Oh sh*t, my bad! Was convinced you’d gone Cresswell! Even smiled when the goal came through on the radio earlier. Oh well, it’s the thought that counts smile

        • I was absolutely certain before the Villa match started that we would win, you know. It beats a loss anyway, and the likes of Sunderland, Newcastle and Norwich all lost which is helpful. Still nine points adrift though – just have to believe I guess! Would certainly be the great escape. Massive game on Monday, for sure!

Hope things start to turn around for Man U, too – can’t believe how badly things have gone recently for you. Chelsea at home will be a very interesting fixture, albeit with less fireworks now Costa is suspended!

        • Hehe, sorry Cookie! Sure you said Cresswell at some point but the last few days have been so hectic you may have said Ronaldo and I’d have believed it! Good day today mate but on driving duties unfortunately but can’t moan as I wasn’t for the previous two, although judging by my Cresswell gaffe and telling yaco not to WC earlier you’d be forgiven for thinking it was me who’d done a bottle of Prosecco today and not the Mrs! Hope you’ve had a good Christmas with the family mate.

    • Yeah, Ben Dinnery is saying illness is the reason as well.
