Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 18 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 8GW18 is almost live! WAKE UP! No, seriously WAKE UP! You have 15 minutes to get your ass in gear! This is possibly the most missed deadline of the season, for obvious reasons! Anyway, whether you do wake up and find both us and the deadline in time then we hope you had a great Christmas but if you don’t, and wake up mid afternoon in a panic, then we still hope you had a great Christmas, but #FPL commiserations! Boxing Day is unique in that it has all 10 games in one day so it can be a bit hectic but the points all still count the same. Stoke (0 – 0) Man Utd kicks us off at 12.45pm, followed by an ’80’s style’ seven 3pm games and then we ease into the evening with Newcastle hosting Everton at 5.30pm and finish off your Boxing Day football bonanza (aka relaxing in front of the telly with the family, you’re not kidding us!) as Southampton host Arsenal at 7.45pm.

The important news is that the deadline for GW18 is at 11.45am on Saturday 26th December

Evening all. Had a good GW until Everton and Arsenal played. Still got 62 all in so not too bad. Have 2FT and 2.8 ITB so want to use at least on transfer. Nothing pressing but thinking Hennessey in for McCarthy, Walcott for Delofeou or Ighalo for Vardy. Any other ideas?

All three of those sound good to be honest. Would probably say the keeper transfer is the least pressing, though I’d say to hold fire on the Vardy one until more is known. He might be ok and Man City and then Bournemouth (I think) at home are both scorable games.

Wally in for Sterling rather than Giroud for Kane? Original plan was the latter but fearing a rest for Giroud in one of these 2 games, anyone heard anything on that?

This week’s plan worked out rather well in an odd manner! On the plus side I didn’t plump for Aguero which would have meant losing Kane and Sterling. On the downside the 2 I brought in bombed (Ozil and Bellerin) but glad to have both going forward into these next 2 games. Bournemouth should play into Arsenal’s hands as they like to play a bit and that suits Arsenal perfectly. Newcastle were fairly poor today and lucky that Everton forget that the idea of all that possession and dominance doesn’t count for anything unless you penetrate too. They did well at Spurs but still think Arsenal clean them out despite today’s debacle.

Going for Wally myself, probably. Will there be a presser tomorrow? Injury and fitness updates?

Seems to have worked out well for you. I’m in no rush to get Aguero as. Like you said, it requires losing 1 or 2 players to get the funds. With Lukaku, Ighalo, Vardy, Kane etc all in form why take a punt. The in form players are cheap this season so putting together a good squad is easier than in the past. Walcott in seems about the only move worth it except perhaps getting rid of Begovic

What do I do? Sell sterling? Vardy? Sort out defense?

Tough one that FDMS as nothing particularly jumps out as either needing fixing or indeed as a must have for this week that you haven’t already covered. I fancy Palace keep a cleanie so that’s Hennessey sorted, likewise in defence I’d go Dawson, Moreno and Bellerin without too much thought needed. You already have a benching issue from the front 8 and even if Vardy is actually ill then the rest takes care of itself anyway. If I was being picky given that scenario then maybe Sterling to someone else but again nobody jumps out and even if they did it’d mean deciding to bench someone else just in case Vardy doesn’t make it. You could replace Vardy himself but with who??? I think you’ve managed to #FPL snooker yourself which takes some doing laugh
