Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 19
Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 19 article. After two poor weeks in a row we finally had some luck and posted a decent score of 76 to get us back on track and that leaves us at 64,823 overall. Well, we say luck, there’s nothing better than a successful FPL transfer decision and one that brings you 30 points is to be rejoiced! Last week we culled Kane and brought in Zlatan and captained him. Suffice to say the big man didn’t disappoint. And we won’t lie, we had a wry smile when Kane missed his penalty. Game-weeks hang on such fine margins at times. So Zlatan was obviously our bedrock but we saw decent returns elsewhere too, notably from Pedro who we had hung onto more in hope than anticipation as he had missed the previous week and posted poor scores of 1, 3 and 2 prior to that. Our patience was rewarded with a big 13 this week. Unfortunately the silly sausage then went and got himself suspended for this week which leaves us in a bit of a pickle. And said pickle only got bigger when Walker went and got himself suspended as well having posted a rather disappointing 1 pointer for us. His team-mate Erik did rather better with two assists and 10 points though. Other than Cech getting a straight 6 though the rest were fairly mundane other than our 3rd pickle… Our Itchy pick was described by one commentator this week as “simply a poor choice at the moment”, and we couldn’t agree more! Especially when he didn’t even start this week. He redeemed himself with a late goal though to give us a 5 for him and it could have been more as he was waiting to tap in the Sterling cross which Davies turned in for an own goal. Goal or not he’s still an issue which needs dealing with, to add to the others #gulp…
Transfer – Sold Pedro and Iheanacho and bought Phillips and Defoe
We will admit this one had us a bit stumped. Every which way we turned it was far from ideal. And the ideas and suggestions were thin on the ground, which in some ways was a relief, after the fighting seen recently as a result of there being so many in the past few weeks. In the end we decided to go with the tried and tested in terms of fairly consistent FPL point scorers in the shape of Phillips and Defoe. It’s not overly exciting or innovative but it probably keeps the wheels turning for a bit until better opportunities present themselves.
The obvious point here is that we haven’t really planned for Aguero’s return. In truth we are happy enough to run with Costa and Ibra as our main forwards for the time being and we will make a call on Kun in the next few weeks if anything happens to our big two or if Kun shows signs of life again.
The other obvious point is that our team does look a bit bedraggled this week, we are aware of it so don’t come pointing it out please! It happens sometimes when you encounter a few suspensions at once, but then sometimes the most aesthetic of teams don’t always bring home the bacon so let’s see what our ugly pigs can do for us this time out…
THE NEW TEAM IN FULL FOR Gameweek 19
Our Captain is Zlatan
He’s been in imperious form and faces a Middlesbrough team who are without a win in their last 8 away games. It was him or Costa and both are good shouts this week and we would happily have gone with either but we went with Zlatan. Let’s hope the Iceman cometh again…
If anyone is interested in following the site teams progress then you can do so here and we wish you all the best of luck this week with your own teams.
Unsure what to do with my bloody team. Past night I wanted to do Pickford to Foster, Wally to Stanislas and Kane to Costa for an 8 point hit. The moment I did the move Wally’s price went down from 7.8m to 7.7m and the bloody transfer was refused. I mean, ffs. Lol! Anyway. What to do now? Same moves? It is all to free up cash for Kun. Midfield will look less attractive though. Next gameweek if I do all the past moves I will have to do Hazard to Antonio (or another mid below 6.8m) and Carroll to Kun.
Do it Raziel, stick with your plan if you want Kun that much.
Here is the main problem. Is it worth reshaping your team for 1 player? Carroll will be upgrade to Kun, for sure. But Hazard and Walcott (Or another 8.0 mid) will be downgraded to the likes of a Stanislas and or Antonio. Which option would you prefer Cookie?
Raz, not sure there is a right or wrong answer. I had a look at getting Kun this morning alongside Ibra and Costa and I didn’t like what it did to my team – the midfield was horrific…even worse than it is now!!
I wouldn’t put you off getting Kun, but if you want my honest opinion, I don’t think Ibra, Costa and Kun works…..
If you are prepared enough to take an 8 point hit for him, I’d probably go for him. A bit of a little known stat though is that even with athleti, Aguero has never scored at anfeild. I’m planning on getting kun in some time after this game week personally.
Regardless, I need to take an 8 point hit. And I wouldn’t be getting Kun this gameweek.
Anyway, need to take care of Kane (must have Costa) and Pickford and Wally.
Another road could be having Kun and IBra and Haz instead of Costa/Kun/Ibra and two lower mids.
Could you still keep Alexis with Kun, Ibra and Hazard?
Yes Cookie. Just not Costa. The man in form.
I hate all the 3rd striker options to be honest. Did Walcott to Lallana last night. I have Origi which may need addrsssing soon.
Yeah, it might be smarter to go with 2 expensie ones now and hope 1 gets injured or something. :p
Quick bit of help please as I look to make changes. Which combo do you prefer…
a) Bellerin & Carrol
b) Coleman & Rondon
Thanks in advance
Bellerin and Carroll for me, with the age old dilemma of carolls fitness
This is the problem with Carroll, hence I am very wary…….
Plus West Brom fixtures look good for a while, just not sure if I trust Rondon or not!!
A. But all depends on Carrolls fitness.
thanks Raz. Quite surprised, that’s 2 A’s out of 2, yet Arsenal can’t keep a cs.
It’s a difficult one and I probably trust WBA / Rondon more than West Ham and Carroll right now.
Defensively I don’t trust either team hugely but Arsenal have some cracking fixtures coming up, surely a few Cs in there? Everton have looked a bit more resolute recently.
I think you’d go well either way tbh
I guess it’s impossible to do belerin and rondon?
But yea caroll should be a good pick with payet. He’s actually made the most chanced of any player this season, so maybe caroll will start putting the chances to bed now he’s in the team!
Cookie
I prefer ‘B’ as being more reliable and with those WBA fixtures in mind.
A
YOu are bias. 😉
Lol
Bellerin and Origi?
Can’t afford that DMC
Cookie – yeah sorry thought Carroll costed more. Heck might as well go with the donkey then. Unless you wanna Gray?
Cookie,i looked at Rondons stats the other day and they were shite to be honest but then you look at West Broms fixtures……….can you go Brunt and Benteke ?? Palaces fixtures turn really nice soon ? Coleman does look good and is bombing forward a lot again and Evertons fixtures pick up soon.
Brunt is already factored in for next GW Brooky 😉
Yes the fixtures suggest Rondon but I just can’t bring myself to get excited about him….not convinced on Tekkers now Big Sam is there, he’ll tighten them up big time and try and smeak a win.
That 3rd striker spot is a real pain innit ?? Think i’m gonna go Carrol. He’s cheap and got some decentish upcoming fixtures though i have little expectation from him,he will just fill a slot !!
A for me Cookie
Hey guys, is my team good to go this week?
Was going to roll the 1 FT and £1.0m and see what I can do next week.
Other option is Walker to someone
Cheers
Beno, I understand that Evans may be one of the “niggles” Pulis talked about in his presser. If so, he is likely to miss the Saints and play vs Hull. But that’s fine, you can take your chances on Barry vs Hull instead! Hold the transfer.
Cheers
If Evans plays against Saints, think he has a greater chance of points over Barry?
Beno, Evans offers little attacking threat so you think his ceiling would be 7pts if he sneaked a bonus point with a cs.
Barry has scored 2 this season and assisted once, so stats not great and he’s more likely to get booked than score. Play Evans.
Gents,
Am I good to go?
Still got Stones…….you sure on cappo ?
lol I know; next GW he will be gone
Cap Alexis? 😉
I was thinking Ibra or Costa if I go for Costa but then I started scratching my head. Arsenal play the last game.
Ibra is on fire so I will stick with him, to be honest I think they will all do well this GW
good evening all. I am planning to bring costa for kane. will it be a bad decision if i take a hit for bertrand/vvd/baines for holebas??
who is the best option for cap ?? ibra, costa or sanchez ??
any suggestion regarding the transfer and team would be very much appreciated.
I’d never take a hit for a defender.
The cappo choice is tough. Mines currently sat on Ibra, but Costa and Sanchez are great options too! It’s a nice problem to have I suppose!
You guys reckon this team will do? I can have this not this gameweek but the gameweek after. Will involve hits and losing Hazard and Wally. 😉
Squeezing Kun in will always mean losing someone nice. I think with Costa in the team then Hazard is the obvious choice, and with Sanchez I wouldn’t be fussed about losing Wally. Do you think Stanislas will get a good run? I’d be concerned at his gametime / fitness.
I dare to say he is their best player, when not injured.
This having everybody thing is doing my head in.
Cappo is going to be fun next week!! 😉
