Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 26
Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 26 article. A small green arrow was delivered to our doorstep by the FPL stork after a GW25 score of 58 – this compares to the average of 47, so it was ok, nothing special but a win is a win and we’ll take it. Captain Zlatan let us down, missing numerous good chances to score, he should have had at least a brace but we had to accept his assist. His main competitor for the armband, Alexis, obviously rubbed out noses in it with a brace, slightly fortuitously, but a brace and maximum bonus points to boot for a 15pt return. Clean sheets for Cech, Coleman and Pieters were boosted by either bonus points or save points for the trio. All the rest of the crowd were 2 pointers except Kyle Walker who didn’t even manage that as Spurs were soundly beaten at Anfield. Two free transfers await us… the meeting could get feisty.
Transfer for GW26 – Sold Cech & Sanchez, Bought Jakupovic and Mane
We’re rich!!! £5.6m in the bank. Ok so it may be a poor looking team on the pitch but we won, right?…
No? Oh ok, sorry we got sucked into the Arsenal model there for a second… despite selling two of their best players, ironically.
We should explain our own strategy here though as it may not be immediately obvious as there were a myriad of other moves we could have made and we ended up with a strange pair.
Basically we are already planning ahead for a DGW that may or may not even happen! We have Kun and Sterling pencilled in for next week and have made our moves accordingly. If it doesn’t happen then we shall put it down as one of those things but the likelihood is that City will beat Huddersfield and so we can press on with our plans.
We do like to give an insight into our inner thinking though, as followers may know, so here are some random extracts from this weeks chat on the team situation –
“Geez, our team is not strong for this week ‘on paper'”
“It’s been like that for most of the season!”
You can’t argue with either of those statements!
“Dortmund would sell their Mum before a breastfeeding final”
We did say it was random and that one made us laugh hard!
THE NEW TEAM IN FULL FOR GW 26
Our Captain is Mane
With no Lukaku to lean on (praying that one doesn’t hurt us bad, it may do) then an in form Mane against an out of form and now managerless Leicester was our next port of call.
If anyone is interested in following the site teams progress then you can do so here and we wish you all the best of luck this week with your own teams.
*** NEW ARTICLE ***
Morning everyone – the Site Team committee has just finished its meeting, transfers and a ‘sort of / lets hope it works out’ plan was agreed. The team has been selected as per above!
Our week will likely depend on a Monday night captain!
How many active players do you guys aim to have for gw28?
coys, I would think we’ll end up with 8 – or 9 if we hit in GW28. We actually haven’t spoken names but I’d be amazed if we didn’t grab either Lukaku or Siggy or both.
I’m not sure which to focus now becuz of citeh. I would imagine it will only be worthwhile to take hits on the players that is expected to get more than 4 pts for gw28?
Chuck your team up coys. I wouldn’t go hit crazy for 28 as it’s likely to be a lowish scoring week.
Moves make sense to me. A bit light up top this week but could be a funny week
Been slow. Potential double for City next week is it. That’s Big!
Morning everyone. Sound transfers by the team there and a lot of nice home fixtures this week. Hoping it’s a big scoring week.
Aside from that does anyone know if Stanislas is likely to get his place back. I thought he was the main man there, has he fell out with Eddie or what?
Morning Milburn, presser this morning – hopefully Howe says something re Stanislas though I doubt it. WIll let you know as soon as he has spoken.
Appreciate it mate.
Nothing about Stanislas Milburn – not a huge surprise.
:straight: right cheers. Should still have 9 for 28 without him.
Hi guys. Any suggestion to fix my defence? Already uses my FT for Sanchez to Mane. Have 3.3m ITB
Hi Iqbal,
It’s rarely a good idea to take a hit for a defender but in this instance I’d certainly take one. I’d probably look to bring in either Maguire or Robertson of Hull for either Ake or Amat.
I’d agree on taking the hit as that will pay off over the coming weeks. With that money in the bank however I’d be tempted to get Baines in.
He’s already got 3 Toffees
ah apologises, didn’t spot Barry
Or,ignoring gw 28 maybe Alonso ?
That is a good call.
UEFA Europa League round of 16 draw:

Good for them
PS did Rostov score 3 or 4 goals against Bayern Munich in CL?
M not sure if it was them, but something tells me they were
Yep they have a decent record at home – very difficult to beat there so I hear.
Yes and it’s also 4,500 miles away.
Enjoy your jolly, Reds
