Evening all, good weekend for the pool, just a question for all you reds fans, do you think mignolet should be gone + a more commanding keeper bought ? Those 2 goals were scored all because he never came out + gathered the ball from the crosses, seemed pretty poor to me, a very weak link in my opinion.

Ellie as you know I ain’t a Liverpool lover.
But as a soccer lout I have felt all season he has been a weak link, the fact the Pool have outscored teams is your saving grace.
      Now listen in…
      Money buys everything…
If you win this League and then coins will flood in,tap up Lahm of Bayern Munich as he is unsettled mate.

Elle – Simon was never strong on corners/free kicks when he needed to come out…
It is his weak side, let’s admit…
He is very good on the line and 1on1, too…
So – when he was bought, I guess the people doing the analyzes on him – already knew that…
All in all, I think he is a very good keeper and needs to stay !!
He needs to get more confidence when going out of his box and that’s it something he needs to work on with a coach but also on himself !

He is a high quality keeper, imho ! Keepers get better with age, they are like wine 😉 !!!

Elle – I’d keep him. No rational reason to

66 with Nasri and Aguero to play. Got 40 pts today and dropped 1,5k places from yesterdays ranking!

Anyways, considering taking out Gerrard for Ramsey tonight. Seems a sensible move? Or should I opt for Sterling?

    Mannone (Boruc)
    Baines, Azpil, Chester (Vlaar, Parr)
    Gerrard, Nasri, Mata, Eriksen (Noone)
    Luka, Suarez, Aguero

Also considering taking a 4 pt hit to upgrade my defense as I would have over 5m itb if I get Ramsey

Any early word on Mirallas injury?

Was thinking of taking him out for Mata or Ramsey anyway but seems to be in good form.

Anyone know how serious the Rafael injury is? Physioroom doesn’t have a return date. If that’s the case Smalling might be the best option. He can play 2 positions at that.

Well, that was an interesting match between United and Everton. I was thinking this week’s transfer to bring in Mata was going to be pretty straightforward, but with Rooney back he just doesn’t look like a threat. I was also thinking about Rooney too, but now I’m not so sure. Even with a the DGW they really aren’t that appealing, United look out of sorts under Moyes.

Seems kinda crazy to be transferring in players without a double in GW37, but Ramsey and Podolski looked great today.

      serendipity says:

I so agree with you. Mata in was the obvious choice this week, now I am rethinking. Even with a DGW I am not sure Mata could out score the likes of eriksen, Ramsey & sterling.

      • RedVT says:

Those are all great shouts as alternatives to Mata serendipity. I think I might end up avoiding United altogether and go into 37 with a couple less DGW players than I originally intended.

        • inittowinit says:

I was also dead set on Rooney and Mata as my next 2 transfers. I’m pretty sure I’ll still do Rooney this week but the Mata one may be on hold now as he was ineffectual at best again today. Moyes really has no clue as to how to get the best out of him which is shocking really.

        • Raziel says:

It’s quite easy actually. Mata only plays good when Rooney and RvP are not on the sheets. 😉

        • serendipity says:

+1 smile I will see what the week brings though, a few days to decide.

      HL says:

It would be strange going into a City DGW with no Yaya and a possible Silva 2x60mins show up…
Add Mata to this and you are left with Rooney…now, let’s be honest not all managers can afford the Roo/Kun/Goofy attack so all in all – it will be a strange DGW !!
After today’s Utd performance at the back the likes of De Gea who has 1 CS in his last 5 GW’s; injured Evra & the inconsistency of the back 4 = headache !!

Utd have 3 home games and me thinks we should not write them off, this early yet….
3 home games against relegation struggling Norwich+Sunderland and not so safe anymore Hull…
Easy on paper but not so easy in reality…

City – will Silva & Yaya recover on time for the DGW ?!
Will they play more than 60mins in both ?
Is it wise to invest in a City defense when they are playing Everton away / THE Everton that can score against any team this season ?
Is Nasri gonna be the main attacking threat now when Silva/Yaya/Navas are injured ?

      Ohhh…My head already hurts ….
The toughest DGW had to come b4 the season end… :noshake:

      HL

      • Well surmised HL, you summed up my thinking/head aches perfectly! Oh and mix in leaving Coleman on the bench with only a few points in my Banterbury h2h match with a close run in for promotion! Aaaahhhhh, why do we do this to ourselves?

      • inittowinit says:

Evening HL, actually forgot about Yaya already! There is a chance I guess, that given the timescale that was announced, he may be back for the double.

        • HL says:

          Evening Init,
I was just reading Red’s article and the part where Pellegrini says about Silva ” he would only struggle when playing 2 games in a week” – and this makes it no easier, tbh…
I have a pretty good team ( I think) and have no idea what transfers to do for the DGW…

          Gerrard/Eriksen/Silva/Ramsey
          Rooney/Kun/Suarez

It’s just making my head hurt more when I think of it… sad

        • inittowinit says:

I must admit I’ve pretty much ruled Silva out of my DGW plans already due to this same issue. Mata would be nailed on for it if Moyes would just do the sensible thing and at him as a no10 and leave him there. The poor bloke was switched all over the shop today and was poor as a result. Your front 7 looks great HL and I would be hard pressed to recommend any changes despite the double. Apart from getting Puncheon of course laugh Always get Puncheon 😉

        • HL says:

Init – Pucheon & Dann last week ; Sterling & Baines this week… :noshake:
If by any chance Nasri scores a brace tomorrow – I swear I will do a “NIN” and delete my team !!!
          :cuckoo:

        • inittowinit says:

          Noooooooooooo!!!!!

Actually ‘do a NIN’ may been a new catchphrase!
