Well GW30 plus is in the books (cue the fake crowd noise) and onto GW31+ we go.
As always we shall endeavour to post the line-ups prior to each phase of the relevant GW and our usual FPL Countdown Timer (to be found above the latest comments section) is once again be active.
Tips will be dispensed in the chat below but feel free to get involved in said chat, whether that’s asking for advice or answering others.
FF247 SITE TEAM GW31+
This is where LMC takes a slight twist. Given the lack of opportunity to post any full or meaningful articles it is our intention to simply post our weekly transfer and Captain choice on here prior to each deadline. As a result this article will be posted way in advance of when it usually is, probably not long after any given GW ends.
Our GW30+ Result, in brief
Yep, we nearly got there but some combo of Pep, Aguero and Egan defeated our 100 point ambition. We landed on 96. Captain Kun managed just 55 minutes across his DGW, albeit with two assists. Sterling was the only one of our City boys to actually register 90, albeit all in one game. Doherty somewhat rescued us with his 12 in his SGW and clearly we should have captained KdB as he top scored with 15.
As for our rank we have risen about 25k this week, a green arrow is better than a red arrow so we will take it. That makes 4 out of the last 5 GWs that we have risen, so the trend is good, now we just need to get inside 100k and make a late push up the overall. The site team now sits in 141,956th place. Here is the side that almost made us triple digit proud. 
GW31+ TRANSFER
We have SOLD and BOUGHT…… nobody
We may be doing this in a slightly unorthodox fashion but one of the reasons we played our Free Hit last week was that we liked our team, as it was, for GW31+. Turns out we liked it that much that we felt we may be somewhat justified to play our BB this week. That was until Leno (or more accurately Maupay?) put paid to that thought. We could have replaced him but in all honesty whoever came in would probably simply end up playing second fiddle to Pope for the remaining games. So we’ve left that thought for now and feel we have a strong XI for this week.
GW31+ CAPTAIN
Our Captain for GW31+ will be Raúl Jimenez
Jimmy got the majority of the votes and it’s easy to see why for anybody who witnessed both his and Bournemouth’s performances in GW30+.
Our Vice-Captain will be Bruno Fernandes. Should Jimmy fail to start we’re confident that Bruno can step into the breach as he’s faces a Sheffield United defence shorn of Henderson, Egan & potentially O’Connell.

I think with the slower pace of the game, drinks breaks, lack of sharpness of strikers etc defence may be the way to go.
Including my bench, I had 5 defenders with clean sheets and my goalie too.
Aurier Doherty Trent and AWB/Maguire look good shouts for returns at both ends of the pitch.
I’m hoping you do get a complete CS mate – cos Marti is my keeper as well! He’ll be good for 2 points I guess! Cheers for the rest of the GW!
Guys I’m not sure whether to activate my wc or to give it one more week, if I do I’ll probably sell mane and salah and bring in son kane and martial, really not sure.

…..that’s putting me off selling Mane right now.
This is quite tough because you have to use it at some point but it don’t look too bad. Like Cookie says Liverpool play Villa soon and that might be the game where they need to clinch the title still
Smash, they’ll have the title won by then but it will be their first match back home as Champions and even though there will be no fans I imagine Klopp will play pretty much his first XI. And it could and probably will get messy.
I for one can’t sell Manè or TAA in front of that. Will likely ditch Manè after.

Being limited to 3 makes life pretty challenging! 
As a City fan, I really hope Liverpool win the league before they play Villa at home.
As a non Salah and Mane & TTA owner, I was hiding behind the sofa last night.
Hate to think of the damage that these three could do if the Villa match was the one that would officially win Liverpool the league.
I would hope their intensity would be slightly reduced with nothing to play for.

I was reflecting the other evening how life has changed this year with the terms WFH & social distancing becoming part of new everyday life.
How are you down in France? They treating you well?
Gooday Cookster – yeah I’m always treated well here. I guess I add that little bit of that bit of exotic ‘gentillesse’ from Downunder (and I’m not makin’ any rude suggestions here mate!). Worked myself into a position where I am going to be the eternal ‘stranger/foreigner’ (both sit well with me!) wherever I go (even back in Oz, as I haven’t lived there for yonks!). I guess Frenchie probably feels the same in the UK – for me it’s a privileged position.
Anyway, before going off on that particular tangent, was gonna say thank goodness you’ve (I hope) landed on your feet again mate. Hope the weans are fine and wifie too! Speak to you soon!

Do we think the City v Liverpool game will be cagey or wide open? I can’t decide if there will be goals in it
I think it’ll be tight Smash. Neither will want to lose and space behind defences will be at a premium negating the effect of Sterling, Mane & Salah etc.
That’s my thought.
It think tonight’s result could have an impact on the type of game it is. If the league is on the line i expect it to be a cagey affair. However, if your boys do us a favour tonight the game may be more open.
I’m not confident of us beating City reserves tbh. It’s a good point though as that will probably impact the game

A lot of the games next GW are really difficult to call.
Ali or Bergwijn as a 1 week punt vs Shu? Would then wilcard the week after.
Bergwijn is more explosive and should get the game time

I thought Alli’s movement was pretty good yesterday, in the first half especially when Son and Kane were more static. He tired as the game went on and looked puffed when he was taken off but positive a few small positive signs for his first game back.

Or as you say an Arsenal player could be a good shout also. Beauty of a one week punt is it doesn’t matter quite so much. Fpl is about getting these tight calls correct more often than not.
Unlike you, i didn’t have Martial last night for example when i was torn, i went Bruno instead.
