  1. That late Arsenal goal really helped me and the 2 point bonus from Pieters was a nice little surprise as well. Ended up on 50 points with Terry, Sterling, Dzeko, and Costa still to play. Very happy so far, got a few lucky bounces today and I’ll take it.

    BTW, does anyone think that Taylor getting yanked off after 52 minutes today puts his starting position at risk?

    • 50 points, that awesome mate. I’m happy with my 45. I have ummm Terry, Fabregas, Costa (3 Chelsea) and Jovetic to play. Good for us. laugh

      I would have thought his place is safe and it was only the circumstances of the day that meant he was subbed – I understand he was on a yellow card and was being a bit overrun at the time of his removal.

    • Thanks Raz, james, and TGP. Your thoughts on Taylor are reassuring TGP, he WAS on a yellow and getting beat for speed down the wing. I just hope that’s not a pattern and Tiendalli doesn’t take his starting spot. I think I’m going to look around at other options just in case though, gotta keep an eye on that.

        Yeah prepare a back-up but wouldn’t consider any transfer of him just yet.

          Captained Rooney. Had Siggy, Ramsey, Debuchy, Pieters and Eriksen.

          49 currently with Forster, Terry, Sterling, Riviere and Diego Costa to play.

          More than satisfied.

        • Yeah, that’s a nice haul TGP! Well done mate. Glad to see some really nice scores from the FF247 crew. The world rankings just updated, I’m at 11,824 out of 2.8 million. I better take a picture of that while I can!! laugh

          Looking at the scores on here tonight it seems a sizable number have double the average. Testament to the site and it’s thriving community with fantastic help and advice in no short supply. Let’s all keep it up.

        • Yes, absolutely TGP! You and the other authors did an amazing job with the pre-season write-ups and information. I literally had your Pre-season Friendly Overview article up on it’s own page (along with some others) for the past week while I got my team together. Between the articles and the forum interaction with other players this is the greatest FPL resource anywhere. I just hope the other guys in my mini-leagues never find it, ha!

    • Same prob for me. Just tonight though. Says error when I try to check my opponents. Not the end of the world, will be fixed I’m guessing. Glad I can see my own scores. laugh

        • It’s because it’s linking to the account you had last year. But someone else is using that numeric user ID this year. It happened to me, so don’t worry.

      • You mean Derby City? When I try to visit the site linked to your name I get Derby City. SOmething is wrong with the site at the moment by the way. Can’t see other teams, just my own.

    • Scroll to the bottom of this page and select ‘Profile/Change Password’. There you can change the URL link which is taking you to the wrong page. (Get the new link from your ‘history’ page).

      Hope that helps.

        Do I change the info stored in “website”
        Then copy my new URL link for this seasons FPL page history..?

    • Are you using the same link as last year? If you are, that’s the problem as your team id will have changed from last year.

        • You do. Your team id is decided by the order in which you created your team. i.e. if you were the 1460th person in the world to create a team your team id is 1460.

          So how do I change my I.D..?

        • No you can’t change your id. Just copy the link you have on your current gameweek history page and paste it on the website section on your profile.
          Maybe next year if you time your team-making to the milisecond you can keep your old team id. 😉

        • CRAZY PERSON YOU! Of course you have to change it, I changed mine months ago. Last year I was number 205.055. This year I was early, think I was 8912 or so. 😉

          I know its early days….but any selection regrets..?

        • Chambers is a semi-regret. He will have to be booted out for another 4.5m defender. Baird not starting was shite, but Hutton (4m) starting and getting a CS is cool. Also glad I started Siggy. Aah yes, I got 45 points with Terry/Fabregas/Costa/Jovetic to play.

          Changes I plan to make to my team are
          DDG – GIlks
          Pieters – Chambers* – Terry – Baird* – Hutton* (replace him after GW3)
          Mata – Fabregas – Ramsey – Siggy – Albrighton
          Costa – Rooney – Jovetic* (want to swap him for Pelle sooner or later)

          Gibbs went off injured so Chambers might play LB instead of Monreal. I’d wait and hear on any team news before shipping him out.

        • Mehehe, no Hutton was my second defender on the bench, Baird being my first. So he won’t come off. Albrighton was third and last but he didn’t play. His there for the future though.

  6. News for 1st Round of Help The Heroes Cup

    As i have said earlier the top 9 teams from each of the Qualification League with enter Round 1, But to stress how important it is to get of to a good start , as you with be placed into two different Pots for Pottys Live Draw

    Pot A -with consisted of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & the 2 best placed 5th placed sides overall, from each Q League

    Pot B -with consisted of, Lowest 2 overall 5th placed teams, together with 6th,7th,8th & 9th

    If the Banterbury team are in any of the 9 Places , then the 10th place manager will be promoted to the Draw

    Round 1 in in Game-week 5

    Remember Round 2 is Game-week 8 , where all of League 1 & 2 enter plus the bottom 8 of the championship after game-week 4
