The first deadline bell of the season has rung and it’s now time to see if all those days, weeks & even months of planning proves to be time well spent. Have you spent your money wisely?   1. Sitting here praying that Henderson, Costa or Jovetic injure themselves warming up in the next two days! Having a 13 point Siggy as first sub is killing me, 39 points isnt bad with 4 players to go I suppose.

    • 39 is ok for the first GW! Can I join the Siggy on the bench club please……. Nice to come on here knowing i wasn’t the only one.

          Yep, all good over here thanks mate. Not missing anything yet. (Give it time though, i’m sure i’ll miss something at some point).

          Loving the time difference from a PL kick off time perspective. I can take one for the team (rack up brownie points with the wife) and get up with the kids on an early saturday morning. Oh look, there’s a game on! 12:30 lunchtime games become 06:30 games which is perfect and doesn’t eat into the day but still on at a time that i can see. And then… The masterpiece…. The wife gets up c.08:30/09:00 and is so grateful for her lay in that she takes over the kids and i get to watch the live 3pm UK / 9am US game too! And if i’m really lucky, like today, the Arsenal game was on just as the kids were having their lunch. 3 games in a day. The perfect hangover cure.

          Not liking the time difference from a FF247 perspective though. A lot of my great ideas occur in the evening time, by which point you lot in the UK&I are all in bed. Means i only have Mito, Josh, the insomniacs and a few of the serial bedwetters to share them with. And between you and i, i don’t think they’re really that interested. They at least humour me though, so i can’t complain too much.

          The food is good and i’m loving it! But you probably already knew that. smile

          Anyway. Another long rambling post that no one will read.

        • Chins, absolutely love the time of the games. The only drawback is when they play midweek games. You will miss those if you get a job. 😉

        • I have 4 LA also, but all things considered, I just checked their score and all of them managed something somewhat respectable.

        • Chins I’m still here! But probably shouldn’t be, but have to be apparently or else we are letting our users down by not having a ‘mod’ available 247 to not ask questions to at all times. Anyway I think / hope the tool has gone back to ‘his’ own website on which he posts on about once a week. Honest to God :noshake: Words cannot describe. Anyway he had another agenda which we have rumbled and dealt with. Minor fly, swatted.

          Glad to hear you are still able to schedule your life around FPL / sending the Mrs out to work / kids responsibilities smile I’d say go get a job but it sounds perfect as it is! Taco heaven! And you’ve managed 2 of the most talked about tweets of all time despite only being on twitter for about 2 months! #prolific

    • Not sure why you had 6mil player on bench in GW1.

        It’s a squad game mate. There’s surely going to be times when Routledge will come off your bench which means you’ll be benching a 6.0m+ player right? I think based on fixtures and pre-season form (for what its worth) then a lot would have opted for a bojan (or the like) to start over siggy who was playing against an in-form, confident united, at old trafford, in their first match with a new manager.

        Hindsight is great. I’m beating myself up too. But thats the game, and i love it! smile

        • I’m not sure i get your point Bunnies,

          So you’re never going to play Routledge? Then why have a 5.5m player on your bench? Why not have only the cheapest possible players on your bench and have the best possible first XI, and use your trades to make changes?

          I think the answer is because you only get 1 free trade per week and to think that you can get through the season without using your bench players is unrealistic. The answer is a balance of both i think.

        • I understand, GW1 need to start well though. Put best team on park to start.

  3. Is anyone rotating Bojan with Siggy and benched Siggy today?

    • Hadn’t planned on rotating them. Just thought Siggy VS Man U so went with Mutch and benched him sad

      See post 223 above mate. There a whole group of us with Siggy on the bench. Not sure if everyone has him there at the expense of Bojan, but i know i do.

      Thinking of forming a support group. You want to join?

        This has happened to me twice now. 2 seasons ago I benched Michu for Swansea first match.
        He then scored a brace if I remember correctly in GW2 playing at home against a promoted team.

        • I will if you will. It certainly won’t be going back on Shrek until they show a bit more.

        • Shrek has been utterly shit the last 4 games, but still I manage to havve him. No worries he still will provide good points, for next 7 game weeks.

        • Lightning, you’re probably right, but that result today has brought back a lot of memories of utd last season. Thinking now whether mata and shrek are both needed. Toying with the idea of ditching mata for sterling.
          Will wait to see how liverpool play tonorrow first though.

  4. Siggy and Chester 3rd and 2nd SUB… and only one player didn’t play. Hoping Costa and Silva don’t play?

    • I was very lucky today. Got siggy as 1 sub and aluko didn,t play. So extra 13 points, but still did very bad as I got Mata as capo.

  5. Had McGregor on the bench., I also had Chester and Vlaar on the bench and Siggy on the bench.

    Luckily Siggy will come on because Figueroa didn’t play.

    FML, would be number 1 in the world.

    Praying my Yaya toure pick pays off.

  6. Ok start 42 with sturridge c, Costa, Krul and schurrle to play…

    • Got 50 with Sturridge, Lovern and Costa to play. Happy with start although have injury problem with Snoddy already.
