    Calvin Clyne says:

Morning chaps, been a late one after a few beverages hence I’m still up at stupid o’clock. Well I’ve had a most entertaining hour or so reading all of the comments in this article – I never normally do this but after seeing Init’s post above, my curiosity got the better of me. As pretty much everyone else other than Deano seemed to do as well, I must say I found the whole thing rather bizarre.

There are NO obligations from anyone to anyone here – the site runners and contributors give up countless hours of their own time to help the community with both articles and advice, WITHOUT asking for a single thing back. Not only are there no fees and full access to everyone, I haven’t even seen the usual ‘Donate’ button anywhere. I have no idea if the owners make anything from ads or not; like Bob said I doubt it, but even if so they deserve it in my book. So to say they should be here during match-time because it’s what the members deserve (or words to that effect) is crazy. For people with lives, the weekend is usually not free! (not that all of you fine posters from today don’t have lives… :manic: ) People go out, catch up with family, or could actually be at one of the grounds watching the football and therefore be unable to post. And also, during matchday people are hardly after advice anyway! It’s mostly commenting on the games and how well or shit their teams are doing, so no huge need for the ‘experts’ to be on hand during these times (and from memory they often are anyway).

So don’t want to beat a dead horse (or however the hell that goes, it’s late), just giving my two cents. Have to say haven’t had an issue with the guy until now. He’s clearly confrontational, but I like debates and we had a good one the other day. This was just ridiculous though.

And in the off-chance you see this Burnsy, your post made me chuckle as I was skimming through laugh I would indeed be mortified if Clyne was responsible for my demise. I’d have to think up a new name, make a new grav, pretty much just rethink life in general!

Things are good mate, its great to finally be back into things. Team went pretty ave tho, davies and chambers let me down, and baird nd bruce arent any better. Captained costa so hoping for things. No sigs in my team, but still got jovetic, Sterling, filipe, and Costa to play.
    29 pts :/

Did anyone get a good look at how Lukaku and Giroud played? I have Giroud but I want to boot him.

I’m going to monitor Pelle in his game because if he performs against pool, he will be great in his other fixtures that are coming up.

Lukaku didn’t look especially good yesterday but it is just the first game of the season. Giroud came on as sub and flashed one shot/cross late on. I think he may start next week v Everton which would be the perfect chance for you to see both players.

Wouldn’t rush out to make quick transfers just yet.

Pelle could well be a top fantasy player but he may also need time to settle to the league.

Morning TD, try 885k! Oh dear haha. Feck it, as Cookie said, t’is a marathon.

      • TheDreamers says:

thats what I telling myself NIN. Van AAnholt (first sub) and Siggy (second) would have made a big difference. Bloody Baird coming on for 14 mins.

I see you have Siggy smiling at you from the bench too smile

        • NIN says:

Yeah mate, quite a few surprises yesterday! At least our subs are performing i suppose. Still cant believe United lost though, really weak performance.

        • TheDreamers says:

Id a bet on United at half time/full time. Fully expected them to win

        • TheDreamers,
          How you doing mate?
Watched VanA closely yesterday. Going to get him in my team definitely. Looked really good. Not the best defense yet at Sunderland, but he looked really attacking and actually very assured on the ball in the opponents box for a left back.

the bonus points seem a bit weird in some games. O Brien gets 2 whereas Hangeland gets zero.
