Can anyone see any immediate transfers I need to make? Every year I always dive for the wildcard but trying to refrain from using it! Long term Chambers needs to go, Bruce is currently yellow flagged, Young I’m not sure about! Any help please?

      Calvin Clyne says:

Do you have anything in the bank? If so then Young to Siggy is a no-brainer I think. If not then I suggest holding onto your transfer for now as you will probably want to downgrade one of your pricier options to free up some cash, so wait until next GW to see who looks the most useless smile Unless Hazard gets injured tomorrow or something, in which case him to Siggy.

      Nice side igy4.
I would monitor the Europa match for Bruce.
Hold for the minute on Chambers.
My biggest concern would be Giroud not starting.

      • igy4 says:

Thanks Horse! Do you think Giroud was just a one off or do you see Wenger benching him most weeks?

I don’t have anything left in the bank, and am wondering whether to switch Giroud and Young out for Siggy and someone else, leaving me some cash in the bank for next gw although taking a 4 point hit this week?

        • Horse says:

There are a lot of posters who know much more about Arsenal than me.
I heard that Giroud wasn’t totally fit and I think Wenger may be looking for a new striker.
I would wait until Friday before making a transfer as Wenger may get someone new in.

Any Arsenal fans or otherwise out there who have some insight into this?

        • igy4 says:

Yeah I’m sure you’re right Horse and I should wait and see. I just don’t like being left behind and with price rises happening as we speak, with regards to Siggy, I keep thinking should I make the move!

Who’s got a better chance of a clean sheet next week villa hull or QPR?

How did Soton look at the back today?
They have nice fixtures coming up.

I have got Clyne on my bench
    … sitting next to Siggy

Ouch. I benched Clyne too… but we did the logical thing.

    • 347.2

Horse they were well marshalled by Fonte, full backs got forward well to back up the mids + forwards.

      • Horse says:

        Cheers Elle.

Clyne will no doubt do the business agin.

Did Tadic look dangerous today? On free kicks?
He is one on my watch list

        • EBC says:

He looked very good. Can’t really remember any dangerous free kicks but I also had the Hearts v Hibs game on.

        • Took all the corners, no freekicks tho, we didn’t concede any outside the box.

        • Horse, i think Tadic looked a class apart today (in a good way). Lots of simple touches but also some really creative stuff like the little chest down for one of their great chances.
I think he’ll do well this year. And the set piece taking is a bonus.

        • Horse says:

          Thanks Chins.

,,,, and he’s on pens too I hear.

How have you do this GW?

        • Pens too? Even better!
Not very well i’m afraid Horse. 38 with just the Chelsea 3 to play.
Already annoyed at myself for not going with my gut and getting Sterling instead of double united. Why oh why did i think so much would change since last season when all they’ve really done is buy a cental midfielder and an injured left back.
Oh well. 2 more weeks to hold on until the WC.

        • Horse says:

I got 38 too with Siggy and Clyne on the bench.
I have Fab and Costa to play but to be honest I am hoping for a freak hurricane to hit Burnley tomorrow.

I had Sterling in my side too but swapped him for Fab last minute
It is a bit frustrating but there’s no point on dwelling on these things

I was shocked by the United result but they do have a lot of injuries.

Do you always WC early or is something you are trying out this season?

        • brookyboy says:

To be honest Ward-Prowse looked the most threatening out of the southamlton midfield and he’s on corners too and only 5m

        • Horse says:

          Thanks Brookyboy

      Bongo says:

Horse, may I join your club in the top scoring bench competition. It’s very frustrating but at least we have them already and fixtures look appealing smile
Southampton looked pretty solid today IMO, plenty of clean sheet potential against lesser opposition, and Clyne going forward was a stand out performer.

      • Horse says:

        Hi Bongo

Yes the more the merrier in the high scoring bench club.
As you say we don’t have to waste any FT getting the players in and they will probably go up in value this GW too.
And who knows Chelsea may yet have their match abandoned!!!

I get a feelng the Soton’s ‘5 a side team’ may not do so badly after all.

        • Bongo says:

Ah yes abandonment never thought of that, that’s something to cling to for sure smile
Very true regarding price rises mate, siggy is nearing at the 200% threshold already so I reckon he will hit the max 0.3 rise this week for sure.
