Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 36GW1 is live! What better way to kick off the season than with a lunch time match up with 4th place implications written all over it. United will look to secure an early 3 point advantage over perennial Europa League participators, but non-contenders to win, Spurs. At 3pm we have 4 games on the menu. Recently promoted Bournemouth carry the hopes and dreams of many FPL investors as they take on Sherwood and the Benteke-less eleven. In another game that features a recently promoted side, Watford travel to Goodison Park where Everton will be playing for the only 3 points they stand a chance of winning until Christmas. In an early relegation battle we see the Foxes welcome the Black Kitties from Sunderland. If that wasn’t enough of a preview of the probable bottom of the table this season in the 3pm games, we add the also promoted Canaries to the fray, who play host to the Liverpool dream killers, Crystal Palace. In the last game of the day, Chelsea will look to continue taking the manhood away from Swansea as they look to humiliate the Swans with another pasting similar to those of last season.

On Sunday we have three fixtures. Arsenal will look to impress and have all Gooners excited and proclaiming them Champions after week one. Saints (the Liverpool B team) will travel to Newcastle and hope to make their mother club proud, with an away win. Speaking of mother, Liverpool will travel to Stoke where they look to exorcise their demons and by that I mean the memory of Glen Johnson.

The game-week finishes off with the Baggies looking to stop the vaunted City attack with a taller, wider custom made bus. Can’t wait to see the twitterverse explode about Sterling and proclaim the investment on him a complete failure or success based on one half.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the fanteam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

How are people looking after today?

A very disappointing 20 points for myself with Cedric, Ozil, Sterling and Benteke to play…

8 points from 5 players and a suspended goalie that I have to transfer out. Boarderline disaster if you ask me.
But I’m keeping up my positiveness. I’m happy that the blues only got 1 point and my main focus is on the Liverpool game tomorrow! GO REDS!!!

I still have 6 players left, including my captain. The good gameweeks will come. smile

Hope it has gone better for all of you, my fellow FF247’ers.

Time for some card games, see you tomorrow. smile

Can’t believe the “experts” on this website have Hennessey in their team and Palace have played McCarthy! Who said Hennessey would fill in for Speroni??????

21 points with Cedric,Milner,Benteke,Sterling and Wally as Capo plus Huth coming on to make it 22. Glad I didn’t choose Haz as Cap.

      Matt

Evening pal. Yeah those who went away from Hazard (self included) are a bit relieved after tonight’s game. Suddenly Rooney doesn’t look so bad. Although I’ll admit, those with the armband on an Arsenal player, I’d swap positions with right now.

You are poised for a really good GW score providing results go to plan tomorrow.

        Evening GP,How’d your day go??

Ye I wasn’t impressed with Hazard today he just wasn’t at the races didn’t get involved in too many attacks unless he was starting them.

That’s what I’m hoping for even if he gets 10 the same as Rooney I won’t be annoyed as long as it isn’t a measly 4 like the ones that Captained Haz.

        • Tekno-kun says:

Hazard was pretty invisible. Disappointed with his performance, but this wasn’t Chelsea’s best performance either.

        • MattX says:

Very true Tekno. Chelsea just seemed unfit and the commentator pointed it out a good bit throughout the match that Jose had given them 2 extra weeks off. Wrong choice there it seems. I was impressed by Oscar though he played well.

        • Matt

Happy with my score today. It’s still early days and you can’t hang Hazard or Chelsea for one game.

That in my eyes, despite last seasons corresponding scores, was never an easy game for Chelsea. Swansea are always underestimated I think.

        • MattX says:

Oh god I’m definitely not. I think give them a week or two and in GW3 or 4 they’ll probably put 4 or 5 past West Brom or Palace. Just meant for today’s game I wasn’t impressed and in my opinion Swansea should have won thought they were amazing.

    The B says:

I just realized that Westwood is sitting third on my bench, and he got an assist. He has also outscored my 2 midfielders who have played. Westwood > Hazard + Ritchie.

    Is Westwood this season’s Boyd?

    • 132.1

      Hi B

Haven’t seen the highlights yet but the commentators on radio when I was listening were saying that the Villa midfield were not committing themselves to attack so I’m not really sure how the assist came about exactly. I don’t think you could class Westwood as an attacking mid in any way. Always been a good protective mid, in my eyes.
