Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Game-week 36GW1 is live! What better way to kick off the season than with a lunch time match up with 4th place implications written all over it. United will look to secure an early 3 point advantage over perennial Europa League participators, but non-contenders to win, Spurs. At 3pm we have 4 games on the menu. Recently promoted Bournemouth carry the hopes and dreams of many FPL investors as they take on Sherwood and the Benteke-less eleven. In another game that features a recently promoted side, Watford travel to Goodison Park where Everton will be playing for the only 3 points they stand a chance of winning until Christmas. In an early relegation battle we see the Foxes welcome the Black Kitties from Sunderland. If that wasn’t enough of a preview of the probable bottom of the table this season in the 3pm games, we add the also promoted Canaries to the fray, who play host to the Liverpool dream killers, Crystal Palace. In the last game of the day, Chelsea will look to continue taking the manhood away from Swansea as they look to humiliate the Swans with another pasting similar to those of last season.

On Sunday we have three fixtures. Arsenal will look to impress and have all Gooners excited and proclaiming them Champions after week one. Saints (the Liverpool B team) will travel to Newcastle and hope to make their mother club proud, with an away win. Speaking of mother, Liverpool will travel to Stoke where they look to exorcise their demons and by that I mean the memory of Glen Johnson.

The game-week finishes off with the Baggies looking to stop the vaunted City attack with a taller, wider custom made bus. Can’t wait to see the twitterverse explode about Sterling and proclaim the investment on him a complete failure or success based on one half.

Don’t forget to also share any experiences if you are participating in any or several of the fanteam.com leagues. Remember scores update in real time, so don’t be shy and let us know how much you are in line to win.

  1. Well then. Payet assist. Kind of hope Walcott doesn’t play now!

    • Bs, Wally will come on and score.

    • Would be very surprised if Wally isn’t on by the 60th min. Maybe even at HT!

  2. Lol, Soton and Arsenal CS killed in the same minute. Whooooooo. Glad Cedric got an assist.

    • Wenger always makes me dislike Arsenal. His nagging is just as bad as Mourinho, José gets a lot more shit for it though.

      • Atleast Jose manages to win trophies ! With Giroud as striker I doubt Arsenal will win title ever.

  3. If you told me two days ago that in the first 8 matches Villa and West Ham would have the only clean sheets, I doubt I would have believed you. Yikes, looks like this is going to be a crazy season.

    :manic:

    • Lol, Arsenal will score for sure.

      • Most likely, so only Villa holds up defensively. Guess I shouldn’t have worried so much about beefing up my defense! laugh

It’s just been a crazy weekend so far, hopefully the cream will rise to the top as always. Gotta keep faith with the teams we set-up and not panic.

    • Red

Man Utd did as well. But I get your point.

      • Oh right, forgot about them! Thanks GP. What do you think the chances are that Romero keeps his spot in goal? Would love to do a straight swap for Pants if Sunderland keep getting battered.

        • Red

I brought him in before the deadline but covered him by pairing him with Ruddy (certain starter). Benefitted yesterday and I will start him for Friday (unless LVG says he ISN’T playing) but it all depends on if Real Madrid get their man soon.

To answer your question, I wouldn’t buy him now until it becomes clearer whats happening with DDG.

        • Nice call that, GP. Well done. Yeah, I’ll keep an eye on it and hope DDG gets his move. Romero looked really good, safe hands and comfortable in the box.

    • Hey, don’t forget mighty Man Utd!

      • Yup, you’re right Tezzak! Still not a very good GW for defenders, I hope my guys do better next week!

  4. ***Public service announcement*** :alert:
No matter how tempted you are, don’t use your Wildcard this week. You will regret it later! Just Breathe!

  5. Anyone know why Mings didnt play yesterday? Not a starter or just to ease him in?
Thought he was a record signing for them?

    • Think it was a case of giving those who earned promotion a chance in the big league. I’d assume he’s bought in to be a regular starter but I went Francis over Mings as Francis/Ritchie apparently worked well for them as a combo last season.

  6. Whoa, Cedric off at halftime. Guess those cards might be a bigger issue after all. Great assist though.

    • I don’t mind that. Would hate for him to have gotten a second one as that would ruin the assist.
And just saw newcastle got another, so now I’m even more happy smile
